Then just as it seemed they would die and turn to nothing forever, the Father forgave them for trying atone and brought them home. They must have been so hyped.

    • I really like this move but they Almost Purposely got this part Genesis wrong. One thing I hate about Angels and Giants is how many people think they were all unholy demons. The Watchers aren’t Demons. Chronologically Lucifer was cast from Heaven Before he tempts Lilith and then Adam and Eve. He brings a 3rd of Heavens Angels down with him and they lose their inner light, becoming demons; Empty shadows of malice. The Watchers aren’t a type of angel, it’s a proto word for angel before the Greek word existed, Malak is another word for angel in Hebrew but means what “angel/Angelos” means in Greek: Messenger. Before they were messengers of God they were his first children, and the Archangels are his princes; the morning stars. Watcher, Sentinel, Vigil, stars and many more were all terms used to describe The Holy Ones Of God. In the Talmud, Torah and Midrash, it says In the days of Jared Azazel tells Samyaza to ask God if The Angels can live on earth since mankind were corrupted by Lucifer. But Samyaza knew Azazel was going with other intentions that Samyaza would get blamed for; And God called them both out on it because He Always Knew what they would do down there and that they would be worse than men, but permits them nonetheless. The confusion in scripture today is that Christians think 200 angels came to earth and we’re all evil. What Scripture Records, in Judaic and Islamic Scriptures is that Myriads of Myriads(millions of millions) or the Heavenly host’s entirety descend to earth and dwell among men, permitted to marry but above all To Protect All. They spread out all over Pangea, which is why so many cultures today have many religious beliefs and history’s. But the Nephilim(Azazel and his cohorts) Dwelt upon mount hermon, and like evil spirits hurt and oppressed the peoples that dwelt near it. Their sons inherited this name, and the memory of these angels being known as such vanished. The Giants who weren’t born to Azazels 20 commanders where known as The Gibborim and Jabar(Mighty Ones.) These Heroes of old were Men of Renown, while the Sons of Azazel and his commanders were Nephilim(Monsters) and Rephaim(Cursed)like their fathers. Noah was of Gibborim descent, his mothers father was named Barakil. This is a very Strong and Hallowed name in the Holy Tongue Hebrew, and it wouldn’t appear before the world was progenited by Abraham or his ancestors who named him. Many believe this “Barakil” to be Barakiel/Baraquel The Archangel sent by God told to Enoch about the coming change, The Great Cataclysm. When Noah is born his skin glowed like snow and his eyes were glowing like the sun, lamech was afraid his son was one of the angels’ children and runs to his father Methuselah who runs to His father Enoch. Enoch tells Methuselah this was already explained to him by God during his journey to Shamayim and that Noah is to be the progenitor and his children’s children will repopulate the world after the flood, As History Goes. But the Nephilim were a problem. One night, God sends a prophetic nightmare to Every Angel And Giant, good or evil that the world is to be destroyed. They panicked and wailed, and Azazel and the rest of the Nephilim begged Enoch to petition their forgiveness to Heaven. When he asks God the lord refuses because he had warned them and they had still gone and done evil in his sight. When Enoch says all the can do is pray only some of them chose. The rest of them took to war, in which The Archangels were sent to bind Azazel and the other commanders to Tartarus, forever. They then decimated as many of the Giants numbers as they could, as the Nephilim were killing and eating innocent peoples in retaliation, the Gibborim were trying kill the monsters and save the people. But eventually the Myriads were called back home, the lesson was taught. There is an intrinsic nature to All of God’s creations: Fish in the sea, Children on earth And Angels In Heaven. And it was time to return. There were some that chose to remain, some neutral others pessimistic to return; but these became the fæ or the spirits that many cultures call their Pantheon Gods. When the flood came it is said it killed the remaining nephilim that the archangels didn’t destroy, but there are globally accounts in religions that some of the good and bad giants survived. Many were said to stand on the peaks of the mountains, on each other’s shoulders, or in caverns underground in air pockets. It is said one of the crimes of the giants were beastiality; saying it resulted in more monstrous and shorter giants.(Trolls/Ogres) Regardless of if they did or how, we know that the giant gene Did Survive in Ham’s children, his wife was of Nephilim/Gibborim descent. It passed to all of his descendants; whether it was dormant like in his son Canaan’s biology who was just a carrier, or obviously active like in Nimrod/Amraphel’s biology, explaining why he was so outrageously tall. Ham’s descendants were the progenitors of Africa, Libya, Egypt, and Canaan. Ever wonder why most peoples from here are so tall? This is from many many years of personal research into many religions all around the world and with much insight from old Abrahamic scriptures like the Tanakh, the Torah and Talmud. The Midrash, the Kabbalah. And even some parts of the Quran. But just to clarify the Watchers are Angels, the Nephilim are the rebellious angels and their giant progeny. The Gibborim are giants that chose to be humane and not cannibals and monsters. Shabbat Shalom everyone everywhere!

  • The Watchers initially fought with fear, having seen their brethren perished at the hands of men before, their Creator remaining silent. But when God forgives them in their time of need, accepting them back into his bosom, they fight with every ounce of fury they have knowing that even if their physical bodies perish, they will return to Heaven. I'm not a Christian myself, but it truly is a beautiful thing to watch.

    • The only time I know of that the watchers are mentioned in the bible is in Daniel and they pronounce a judgement on the pride of king nebechanezzer for 7 years I feel like there's some kind of explanation through the cross the watchers didn't sin but some angels did perhaps they are being called the watchers because they help noah if they did pity adam and Eve perhaps that is what the rock crusts on their bodies represent and it was something they had to understand but it wasn't sin I think because there is no record of God forgiving angels who sin because of their knowledge I think but I'm not sure all I know is noah is a powerful movie and it speaks volumes on the cross so I hope the watchers are speaking love to God because it's obvious they are good guys but this movie helped me understand things about Noah's family and I value that understanding of their love

"And the angels who did not stay within their own position of authority, but left their proper dwelling, he has kept in eternal chains under gloomy darkness until the judgment of the great day-” ‭‭Jude‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬ ‭ The watchers who left their place and slept with the human women (thus creating the nephilim) are currently suffering in chains of gloomy darkness awaiting the final judgement of the Most High during the end times!!

    • @@carolfleming3896 In the book of Enoch it tries to explain what happened. The angels sinned, slept with women and made monster children that turned on man and ate them alive, soon the monsters turned one eachother and started eating eachother, so the angels taught men how to make weapons, from minerals of the earth, teaching women enchantments and make up. Teaching them things they're not suppose to know I guess. The book of Enoch was in the bible at a time but was later removed I believe after Jesus came to earth. They probably removed it because Jesus and his disciples reference the book many times.

    • @@dreademperor2094 After Jesus died and people started believing in a new Christian faith. Judaism began to lose traction so they had to start making revisions to keep the people. They began composing the Talmud to better teach people how to follow the laws and understand them the way Jesus was doing. No one is admitting to why it was removed, but it is clear Jesus and his disciples quote perfectly from the book of Enoch several times in the new testament which one could surmise is why they may have removed it. Some parts of the world they still keep the book of enoch in the Torah as Canon. Over the centuries people kept talking about the long lost book of enoch making fake copies and what have you. Thankfully thanks to the dead sea scrolls we were able to truly identify the oldest scripts related to the book of Enoch which we can now read.

    • Not in my place, but to give some 'science-ey' perspective on the matter. The time of Noah is much closer to that of Adam, and Adam being the First Man would also comes with the strongest genetics. The Ultimate Survivalist if you will. The main issue of incest from what I can understand is the lack of genetic materials to create a healthy infant. Close relatives share similar genetic materials which makes it more likely for the 'faults' to surface in newborns. God had decreed once that the eldest of Adam and the Youngest of Eve were to pair and create decendants. The same would continue here, in this movie, with Noah's descendants Now, back to my main point. What I'm trying to say isn't that incest is 'ok'. Rather, in Noah's time, the results were less likely to be destructive for the infant as opposed to say incest in our time. Why, one can say the reason humanity lives far shorter now than it did back in Noah's time is because the genetic materials are running thin and dry. Hence, our faults are going to increase exponentially.

I can't deny that I still get teary eyed when that one golem pleads forgiveness to God and he is reverted back into his shimmering self. He is home again. Again, as inacurate as it is, that scene to me feels like a pretty metaphorical representation of God's mercy and love. Just like the thief on the cross, if we proclaim with our mouths and our hearts that He is Lord, we will shed our earthly skin, the heavy rocks that oncw bounded us, will crack and we shall be reborn and be filed with His light once more. With Jesus, we are home. ❤🥰🙏

    • I will say though, the Men of Cain's utter confusion/fear at experiencing rain and the waters of the Earth bursting out in geysers to start the Great Flood are actually the most accurate depictions that I've seen, ironically enough. Because it is widely believed that rain wasn't even a thing in the time before the Great Flood, so seeing water fall from the sky would have been a sign. And the Bible states that the Great Flood wasn't just comprised of rain, but all of the waters locked within the Earth being unleashed. Fun fact, geologists actually discovered that within the Earth's crust and even in the upper mantle, there are pockets of water throughout that are so large that their volume rivals some our oceans.

I know most of everything in this is fiction and others were just liberties on existing concepts in the various connected religeons and history, but that shouldn't really matter when its underlying theme is this effective, I love how the Watchers were doomed by their compassion and empathy for humanity and though god punished them for their arrogance and disobedience he still gave them a chance for redemption and a final salvation in the end of their lives. That is a powerful concept for what could have just been generic creatures to bring in a crowd and entertain. They are at once powerful and ancient, but also vulnerable and full of love under their stone shells.

Here it shows that Water does indeed rise up and heal, but the men weren't deserving of it except Noah, and so they'll get the Water from Heaven, the one that cleanses, instead

God made humans in their own image and then punished them when they showed their darker parts that were put their by the all knowing God and then they punish us as though we had any say in the matter at all. If God is benevolent and is all for love and peace then why did they create us even a slight possibility to be evil unless it was by design also why would you then blame said creation for their actions since you made them that way and also have access to every single piece of knowledge that can exist in reality you knew what they would do before you even started creating them. "If sin is itself a part of the grand design. Is not sin then, by definition...divine" they are just a cruel capricious creature who enjoys nothing more than to torment its own creations and then punish them for it.

    • In the book of Genesis it’s mistaken 200 angels became demons and went to earth. In the Books Of Enoch book of giants and book of watchers, the Hebrew Bible, the Midrash and the Kabbalah it says God sent 200 myriads(millions of millions, Heaven don’t run out of Angels) to earth and permitted them to dwell and marry. I’m surprised that so many people overlook their Marriage; marriage is a blessing of God, if the angels were Demons the last thing they would do is want God’s favor. It says that when the Azazel and the rebellious watchers petitioned Enoch to take their apology before the lord God rejected it and cursed them to Tartarus by the Archangels after they were through decimating azazel and his commanders murderous sons overwhelming numbers. It was said that the sons of azazels souls were cursed to hell and to roam the earth but it was implied the Gibborim(the giants that didn’t partake in cannibalism and beastiality) were pardoned into Heaven when they perished during the flood. Also Og didn’t survive the flood, giants can’t live thousands of years he was a descendant of Samyaza(“remnant of the Rephaim.”)

And how in their pity of helping man, the greed of man was what lead to many of the Watcher's end. And in this scene 2:50 you can see how those that were killed just disappeared, since they weren't forgiven by God. However in the ending battle they flew back to Heaven in the forms they once had, showing how God had forgiven them and allowed them to go home. A sweet moment for such amazing beings. And honestly a pretty good story. Was it one of the best, no but it was a good story. But as I said before, my favorite parts of this movie were those that had the watchers in them.

This movie is a perverse mockery of the book of Enoch. The angels lusted after women and taught them forbidden knowledge like magic (witchcraft). The children they had were giants. They could not be satisfied and ended up eating people. When they found they were unable to be with women, they tried to have relations with each other. That is when God destroyed them.

  • I think it is funny that The Watchers, in this film, remind me of the Decepticons from the Transformers films made by Michael Bay. It is funny because they also started out as "the good guys", then made a mistake and fought a war, and then in the end were forgiven and allowed to repent. (Well, most of them.)

  • According to the actual texts we have on these specific Watchers, they were anything but benevolent. They were the entire reason the world was destroyed in the first place and were imprisoned under the earth, their hybrid children slain those that were allowed to escape the same prison as their parents are now forced to wander the world as demons.
