The TLX's AWD system is more front-wheel biased, because this is based off the Honda Accord, which itself is a FWD car, hence why that occurs.

Planning to get one but confused between SHAWD and FWD. SHAWD adds weight and affects the fuel efficiency. FWD has less moving parts so less expensive to mantain with better fuel efficiency. How does P-AWS system supports the handling of the car?

Gives you rear wheel steering. Makes turns around corners better, and tighter, along the lines of that. SH-AWD, will do the same, but give you the safety of added traction if you start to understeer/oversteer. Unless you're going to be doing some back road hauling, the FWD will sufficem

@Salt Maker wow, some d****** doesn't actually know anything about cars but it's pretending they do. No you have it backwards actually. Torque isn't for off the line. You can manipulate it with gearing and that's what a lot of people do, but work is really more for maintaining once you've gotten off the line. Why do you think big rig trucks can go 100 miles an hour but it takes them 6 months to get there? Because they have 450 horsepower but 2000 foot pounds of torque. There's an old saying. Horsepower is how fast you get to the wall, torque is how far you go through it. If you surf on KZhead long, enough you're eventually going to find a channel that has a Camaro LT versus two other cars and one of them is an acura. The Acura has only a few horsepower less than the Camaro between its turbos and it's all wheel drive it's pretty fast off the line. However the Camaro easily catches up to it and literally wipes the floor with it. Why is that? Well because it's got a lot more torque. And eventually the Acura just eats it.

ehh, nah. this run was actually a 5.9 sec run. Tech starts moving at 18.8 and reaches actual 60 mph at 24.7 = 5.9 more or less ...keep in mind the temperature. 37F...in higher temps, this is doing mid 6 seconds.

But from what ive seen the TLs are faster then the TLX. 2010 SH-AWD being the fastest other than the TLX type s.

I had a ‘16 TLX Advance that I sold last year. Replaced it with a ‘20 Honda Accord Touring 2.0T. Love both cars. My Accord is a little bit faster but I do miss the growl from the V6 engine that was in my TLX. I thoroughly enjoyed my TLX but I am also loving my Accord. I don’t regret my decision in getting the Accord. There are pros and cons to each but I am very pleased with my Honda.

youre right about the transmissions for sure, the 6 speed auto is well known to have gear slippage and shuddering after not too long, + the auto variants of the j35 had VCM which causes uneven wear and spark plug issues

The TLX's AWD system is more front-wheel biased, because this is based off the Honda Accord, which itself is a FWD car, hence why that occurs.

Planning to get one but confused between SHAWD and FWD. SHAWD adds weight and affects the fuel efficiency. FWD has less moving parts so less expensive to mantain with better fuel efficiency. How does P-AWS system supports the handling of the car?
Gives you rear wheel steering. Makes turns around corners better, and tighter, along the lines of that. SH-AWD, will do the same, but give you the safety of added traction if you start to understeer/oversteer. Unless you're going to be doing some back road hauling, the FWD will sufficem
I had the 2.4L and that was a huge mistake. I upgraded to the V6 Aspec SH-AWD now that's a fun and real car to drive. Big difference between the 2 models

Your impala is way heavier than this Civic with a v6. The 3.6 impala would walk this on the highway because its got more torque.

You can manipulate it with gearing and that's what a lot of people do, but work is really more for maintaining once you've gotten off the line. Why do you think big rig trucks can go 100 miles an hour but it takes them 6 months to get there? Because they have 450 horsepower but 2000 foot pounds of torque. There's an old saying. Horsepower is how fast you get to the wall, torque is how far you go through it. If you surf on KZhead long, enough you're eventually going to find a channel that has a Camaro LT versus two other cars and one of them is an acura. The Acura has only a few horsepower less than the Camaro between its turbos and it's all wheel drive it's pretty fast off the line. However the Camaro easily catches up to it and literally wipes the floor with it. Why is that? Well because it's got a lot more torque. And eventually the Acura just eats it.

ehh, nah. this run was actually a 5.9 sec run. Tech starts moving at 18.8 and reaches actual 60 mph at 24.7 = 5.9 more or less ...keep in mind the temperature. 37F...in higher temps, this is doing mid 6 seconds.

But from what ive seen the TLs are faster then the TLX. 2010 SH-AWD being the fastest other than the TLX type s.

I had a ‘16 TLX Advance that I sold last year. Replaced it with a ‘20 Honda Accord Touring 2.0T. Love both cars. My Accord is a little bit faster but I do miss the growl from the V6 engine that was in my TLX. I thoroughly enjoyed my TLX but I am also loving my Accord. I don’t regret my decision in getting the Accord. There are pros and cons to each but I am very pleased with my Honda.

We have the '18 Aspec and ours isn't this fast for some reason. I posted Dragy times. Seems like yours gets off the line faster and revs higher🤔. Im sure the 19s don't help the acceleration in the Aspec, but that wouldn't effect how high it revs.

youre right about the transmissions for sure, the 6 speed auto is well known to have gear slippage and shuddering after not too long, + the auto variants of the j35 had VCM which causes uneven wear and spark plug issues
