British boxing is suffering more but let’s be real, it’s only because Saudi has taken the politics out of it and is delivering the fights fans have wanted to see. These lot have no one to blame but themselves for why national boxing is being forgotten, they’ve continuously let the public down for years stealing every penny they can and almost never delivering on the big fights

British boxing has been suffering since Matchroom left Sky, used to make a day of going to a match and end up in the pub watching the boxing. Not anymore sadly

Competition is always a good thing for boxing. As the british scene looses the big fights there will be a market for smaller promotors to come through, so i wish them the bestv of luck and all the success.

Good link up, GBM are doing great stuff so far in Yorkshire, hope they can expand around the country cause this is the life blood of the sport. We need more of this to keep it alive & give kids the chance to box on big shows, tv & for bit of money & who knows progress up the ranks. Adam's a great guy

Adam/Izzy a breath of fresh air, GBM is a great way, especially looking after the young fighters that we dont know, and this is important, after they finish, they will be looked after, well done Izzy.

Good cause, so many stories and upcoming talent never covered especially in a Saudi Arabia heavy time.
This is the first time i've heard of this lot (Adam aside) but if they’re good to their word then this is great news. All the other promotors are focused on the top end where their money is made, so to have a serious player working the “grss roots” with the young and fresh talent is great for the sport and definately supports the development of the boxers.
Sky should have done everything they possibly could to get Adam. They need someone to run their press conferences and drum up public interest, Adam Simon Jordan or Sam jones would all be good for the job
Talksport really put all their eggs in the Fury basket and it blew up in their face. Went too hard on Eddie to curry favour and are now out in the cold. This should be a lesson to partisan sport media.. stop being so disingenuous in how your report/present stuff
I quite enjoyed it, was a bit of good old fashioned journalism, based on what the listeners wanted to hear rather than what the promoters want us to hear

It is below that but they arent claiming to be on that level. Theyre up and coming, Adam would have had offers and he wouldnt be with these if they didnt sell something good. We need more promoters like this in my opinion, good luck to them.

I am fed up with big fights in Saudi if Izzy bringing boxing back home I like what he does and says .
Been some great UK cards recently. All the fights going to Saudi would be ppv anyway. If anything, the Saudi situation has freed up some budget to put better UK cards on since the excellent one lumps up all the cash for the big fights over there
He’s right it’s great fights happen but the British market has suffered a lot just look at the live shows no real big fights

boxing is far better now being in saudi big fights happening all the time and the fight cards are quality the big fights always use to happen in america anyway but its much better with the time zone difference to watch from uk now

i do think at the moment everything is all rosey with the Saudis but i think it’s going to backfire eventually - at the moment we’re getting the big fights but i fear it will start to filter down to the average boxers who want the bigger payday and we will struggle more to make top British or european level fights. i know football is totally different but look how the money side has effected football with very average players demanding silly wages and ridiculous transfer fees and at the end it’s the fans who end up suffering

Totally agree. Boxing is the most overtly money orientated sport in the world. Whilst it suits their financial priorities to move boxing to the Middle East it will eventually kill the goose.
What an amazing BOXING 🥊 City ShEFFIELD is it’s also the 3rd largest city in England Size wise & 4th largest City Population wise it’s the birthplace of Football Sheffield is! I was at Sheffield arena last Saturday night they was 5k fans in for the Dalton smith fight🥊👏👏👍👊

@RuleStarRacing because it was different people the guy who put on AJ v Ruiz was no longer the sports minister so yes technically Eddie did the 1st fight there but he had no relationship with Turki so Frank got them back in and where there is cards every month

@@Inmyownleague british boxing association could easily make it so fighters have mandatory fights with a fighter of the British boxing association choosing. They don't. They sit on their asses and let the likes of fury retain his titles by fighting bums. If money is what it takes then so be it.

Lies the Saudis have saved boxing. I was sick of no big fight ever being made. It got so bad it was absolutely pathetic. Since they have come in we are actually getting what we want and we are seeing the best v the best in every division like we should have 5/6 years ago
The saudi's just need to work on the production of the shows and atmosphere because everyone of the shows have been terrible .

Good for you guys! and i'l certainly be attending when i can. I've had so much cringe over seeing hearn and warren fauning over the saudi big money, drooling and rubbing their hands together. instantly forgetting the fans and arenas here just to grab the saudi cash. I've watched a few of the 'big' fights in saudi on tv and the atmosphere seems totally flacid and muted. imagine if we had Joshua v Ngannou at the O2. 90,000 fans would have tron the roof off with the noise and atmosphere. But the fans don't seem as important as the cash these days.
Boxing model is the issue. Promoters have destroyed the sport. What the Saudis have introduced is a centralised model. What boxing needs is this with structured events around the world (similar to the UFC). Also, get rid of most of the belts
