  • British boxing is suffering more but let’s be real, it’s only because Saudi has taken the politics out of it and is delivering the fights fans have wanted to see. These lot have no one to blame but themselves for why national boxing is being forgotten, they’ve continuously let the public down for years stealing every penny they can and almost never delivering on the big fights

  • Good link up, GBM are doing great stuff so far in Yorkshire, hope they can expand around the country cause this is the life blood of the sport. We need more of this to keep it alive & give kids the chance to box on big shows, tv & for bit of money & who knows progress up the ranks. Adam's a great guy

  • This is the first time i've heard of this lot (Adam aside) but if they’re good to their word then this is great news. All the other promotors are focused on the top end where their money is made, so to have a serious player working the “grss roots” with the young and fresh talent is great for the sport and definately supports the development of the boxers.

  • Been some great UK cards recently. All the fights going to Saudi would be ppv anyway. If anything, the Saudi situation has freed up some budget to put better UK cards on since the excellent one lumps up all the cash for the big fights over there

  • i do think at the moment everything is all rosey with the Saudis but i think it’s going to backfire eventually - at the moment we’re getting the big fights but i fear it will start to filter down to the average boxers who want the bigger payday and we will struggle more to make top British or european level fights. i know football is totally different but look how the money side has effected football with very average players demanding silly wages and ridiculous transfer fees and at the end it’s the fans who end up suffering

I've had so much cringe over seeing hearn and warren fauning over the saudi big money, drooling and rubbing their hands together. instantly forgetting the fans and arenas here just to grab the saudi cash. I've watched a few of the 'big' fights in saudi on tv and the atmosphere seems totally flacid and muted. imagine if we had Joshua v Ngannou at the O2. 90,000 fans would have tron the roof off with the noise and atmosphere. But the fans don't seem as important as the cash these days.

  • Boxing model is the issue. Promoters have destroyed the sport. What the Saudis have introduced is a centralised model. What boxing needs is this with structured events around the world (similar to the UFC). Also, get rid of most of the belts
