It’s the heavyweight division. The punch power is a common factor. Anybody can get dropped on the canvas. The Ngannou dropping Fury narrative didn’t come as a shock to me. But him going the distance and loosing by a narrow split decision should be more talked about. That’s my opinion
People must not have watched Francis fight in the UFC. The only fight he’s ever won where he wasn’t just straight up boxing was against Gane. Every other fight he’s ever had the only thing he’s done is box.
Hahahah brother he has one of the most take down defense and is one of the most Clinge flight and more then 27 times in his career on the ground
Respectably, that's not against boxers though is it. You've seen what happened to other UFC fighters when stepping in against the likes of Jake paul, Woodley especially. Not saying Ngannou is as bad as that version of Woodley, but I really do think the version of Fury we saw fight Ngannou is making him seem a lot better than he is.
Even among the MMA fighters, he's not the best boxer, how much more with a professional boxer. AJ will fuck him up
@@ewaniffo2871Ummm what? The most clinches ? Most takedown defense ? What is the percentage and oversll numbers ,? Also Compared to who? WhT in the world are you talking about ? When stipe dominated him it was all wrestling and staying heavy on top and he won that fight Easily...took him down with ease and at will ..nea rly every time he tried ..is that the best td defense for a ufc heavyweight? Be honest noe ...other thN that stipe 1st fight and gane .. Francis barely has had to wrestle or be on the ground..rarely..all of his wins were due to his striking at the end of the day for the most part ..so what were you saying about clinches and ground game again? The most what?
@@matthewonyeka6867Ngganou is definitely the best boxer now in MMA since only training boxing and having Mike Tyson refining his style those things the other fighters in MMA never had in history of just going through grueling training sessions perfecting just boxing concentrating on that alone for extended period . That being said Joshua is just to good for him in every area besides maybe taking a better punch but I give Joshua a 85% chance to win this , Ngannou can easily cause problems for most the top guys now but Joshua is just a bad match up here ,put 2 counter punchers against each other the better one is going to win .
It’s tricky. Arguably yes because he has boxing footage on him now. Arguably no because Ngannou will have only improved and gained confidence.

@thomasstahlmecke9154 The fact you say AJ is overrated and then go onto say wilder is underrated is all anyone needs to know about you! A clueless wanker 😂😂😂
Of course AJ has it harder. Yes fury had no footage. But now Francis has more time with Mike training and has only improved on his boxing. It’s a no brainer.
Mike did fuck all training the first time around, so Francis said. It'll be no different this time around.

Right boxing is his first interest according to his story.Francis is a decent boxer Aj got a better chance of winning.
I believe Fury didn’t train and underestimated Ngannou. However, Ngannou has caught the attention of the world and has got people talking and questioning. The AJ fight will either answer whether Ngannou is a freak of nature or was just lucky to have a great first pro boxing fight. Either way, Ngannou’s profile has gone up. He seems to be a really nice man and a physical beast at the same time. Good luck to him.
I think having losses but beating everyone you ever faught like the Lion Lennox Lewis, and potentially Aj if he ever rematches and beats Usyk is more impressive than going undefeated but avoiding fighters and difficult fights like Tyson Fury and Mayweather. Beaing beaten, suffering that loss and then going into a fight knowing your opponent has beaten you already, having those doubts and fears and overcoming that is true courage. If a Champion avoids even one fighter his zero and his title mean fuck all!
Don't count your chickens before they hatch

There is no comparison between.lennox and joshua...I could name 10 boxers who would have beaten joshua who lennox beat...
Aj won’t have beaten every man he faced because he’s never beating Usyk
@craig3420 What have those 10 other boxers got to do with AJ and Lewis comparisons? I agree there is no comparison but that reasoning has fuck all to do with it lol.
excellent video
So many casual quotes in this video. - Francis hasn’t shown a better gas tank than AJ - rewatch the speed of the Usyk fights! - Fury hasn’t proved he has a better chin than AJ or Usyk. Wilder reputation was purely marketing hype - he never knocked out any top level fighter. All roads should lead to Usyk vs AJ 3. We do need to see Usyk vs Fury and Aj vs Fury - but Luke is avoiding both for a reason!!!
No one wants a usyk Joshua 3, it was exactly the same fight both times last time so what's the point
@@robbiecale3327cope better
@robbiecale3327 the 3rd fight will definitely sell, people want to see it. Imagine if AJ knocks Ngannou out, it'll definitely spark attention. It's all about AJs state of mind and it looks like he's found a new gear, the old AJ with Davison.
Because last time it was pretty close and now with Ben Davison in the AJ camp could make a difference.@@robbiecale3327
I agree with what you said, but Usyk - AJ 3 will probably never happen even if they both win. I doubt people are interested in a third fight, but more importantly I doubt Usyk will continue after the Fury fight. Win/lose/draw he probably retires. The only thing he cares about is undisputed and he has earned so much money now that a huge money fight doesn't really mean much.
I'm actually looking forward to this fight. I think it's gonna be a good one. Two powerpunchers in the ring 👊
We need a pain game whatch along for the fights
AJ struggled with the speed of the Ruiz and Usyk punches. I tend to believe he is more confident against fighters of a similar size and build, often in these scenarios, AJ is the one with the better punch speed. This will be an interesting fight, but I see AJ eyeing a stoppage within the last 3 rounds.
I don't think that's the case AJ is fighting boxers who have more experience than him.. People never mention how 5 to ten years more experience makes a huge difference If I remember correctly usyk got dropped a few times in his early days. Ruiz has been boxing since a kid Had his 1st fight just before or just after floyd mayweather turned pro ..in the mid 1990s.. Aj didn't really start boxing till 2008 So he's still on his learning curve compared to those who have more experience than him.. Plus AJ seemed like he changed his way of training from his early pro days...he was very fluid Then put on muscle and bcame rigid... Could be as simple as AJ not training correctly over tbe years ..has led to some poor performances... Some fighter's dictate how they r trained And only train as hard as they want to Others do as they r told Get pushed. .to the limit Who knows for sure what really goes on in these training camps From what iv heard AJ likes the modern fitness training But not the old school way Ali and Tyson were taught . Which could be true.
@nicholasgreen339 I respectfully disagree. Klitchko, Povetkin, Pulev etc all had a ton more experience than AJ. In fact, it is rare that AJ has more experience over any of his opponents given that he picked up the gloves at 19 and has very little amateur experience. His losses have come from more than a lack of experience. It is usually speed that catches AJ, in my opinion. Joseph Parker another good example, though he didn't have the same level of commitment as Usyk and Ruiz to knock AJ off his game plan.
I think aj will be very aware of francis power and probably will be tentative and win the decision
You mean tentative like Fury was?? Fury is the most overrated boxer since wilder

With all the ducking and smack talk over the last 10 years, I can't believe we are seeing some awesome HW match-ups. For a long time I never thought it could happen. It's really hard to pick a last man standing. So much talent, all for different reasons. BRING IT ON.
Thank the arabs for that. Their money made this happen.
Appreciate the insightful analysis, and thank you for sharing your perspective in this video. I am inclined to believe that Francis holds a distinct advantage in this upcoming match. It's notable how biases within the boxing community, particularly in support of AJ, can influence perceptions. It is crucial to recognize the mental aspect, such as fighters psyching themselves out before even entering the ring. Notably, Francis appears unafraid of AJ, reminiscent of Usyk's mindset in their previous encounter. While AJ's widespread recognition stems from seizing opportunities on the grandest boxing stages, Ngannou, lacking such opportunities, possesses a unique, innate prowess that remains underappreciated. Understanding these dynamics adds depth to the narrative surrounding this anticipated matchup. Thank you gents I’m a fan of the channel
AJs gas tank in a 10 round boxing match is way better than ngannous. Judging the fight based on Ngannous chin & punch resistance is risky, too many times in heavyweight people have been found out. AJ hits a lot harder than fury
Lol are u for real
Actually AJ recovers after 10 rounds usually. So he’s actually at a disadvantage
If Ngannou catches AJ with a hard shot flush ... it could be trouble for AJ.
5rounds in MMA is wayyyy harder than 10rounds in boxing
Give over, boxers have way more stamina than mma fighters.
AJ knocks him out in 4 or wins 8-2. AJ won't be throwing a dozen pillow punches a round like Fury.
You are joking
I agree
@@stephenmitchel2570why is that a joke?? Fury is the most overrated boxer since Wilder...Fury and Wilder have beaten five top tens in their entire careers (between them).. AJ has beaten more top tens than the top five boxers combined...
What a joke
Francis is a Terminator and if you see his past UFC fights with let me tell you, four ounce gloves. He even fought a heavy puncher like Derek Lewes, his chin never got cracked
Francis Ngannou trained by Mike Tyson AJ better dodge those Bombs
He's not trained by Mike Tyson this time
Tyson was paid by Saudis for shooting with francis, never trained him.
@@user-el2mg6dv1u He wasn't trained last time 'round by Mike. All he did was gave a few tips basically.
AJ is going to be cautious early on but he will stop Ngannou. The fight you need to look at is the Povketin fight. AJ boxed well to instructions against someone with dangerous left hooks and uppercuts. AJ was catching the left hooks in between his shots. In terms of gas tank, come on! 😅 Ngannou actually said I am the one who asked for 10 rounds- implying that he cant do 12 rounds.

the last undercard was insane, but this is still a double header that is great. for the mainstream fans, people very new to boxing, they got the joshua vs ngannou fight to watch ( and thats a huge one for any long term boxing fan too- because theres a question about how much of an off night fury had, or how good ngannou is, and what sort of performance joshua will give ), for the boxing purists... i think we want to see if parker can fight another perfect fight and beat zhang.. or whether hes been thrown to the wolves- like joyce was really.
AJs going to keep it long and box safety first. I see him winning 9-3 maybe a late stoppage

@@HellBlazerMNE07ruiz v fury there is no knockout there, and usyk is gonna beat fury no one can beats usyk now the only that would ever comes close is AJ
Great podcast. I somewhat agree with that there are some unknowns about Ngannou in a sense, yet those are still known to some extent and here is why. Firstly his chin, that stood rock solid while in MMA and even during the Fury fight. Second, his stamina, we also know how he had some issue in MMA (especially the first fight against Miocic, because he traveled to France and came back not long before the fight took place). When he well prepares, he does not seem to have any stamina issues (including the Fury fight). In terms of Joshua's approach to this fight, I would advise a balanced strategy for him (boxing and banging), not one or the other only. I tend to agree that if/when Ngannou lands (he could very well hurt Joshua). Vice versa I am not sure about. There is some unknowns that we have not seen Ngannou taking accumulative punishment to the head. AJ is a skilled fighter and explosive. He for sure will need to have a balanced strategy with some good head movement as well (in and out, when in then explosive, when out then box). Both men are well liked and respected, let the best win at that night (and stay healthy). God bless.
My goodness I would love to see Ngannou v Usyk too. That's one I'm most curious about tbh. Shit is exciting! Can't wait! Great discussion and analysis. I'm so excited for fight and some great points in this, I will probably be thinking about this fight all day 😂 I agree I think Francis was being cautious w his gas tank v Fury, imagine if he is able to empty the clip. I could def see it being straightforward for AJ, but I like Francis I am biased lol. I'll go w Parker over Zhang
You forgot to mention that its actually a 10 round fight and what you think about it
I would never describe this fight as easier, but the advantage is that unlike Fury, AJ and his team have seen him fight. Other than that it’s still two absolute units trying to punch the crap out of each other 🤘😎🤘
Fury struggled with FN because he was fighting an opponent who 'boxes' but does not fight like a boxer. FN changes from repeatedly from Orthodox to Southpaw....he approaches clinches like BJJ grappling. It a subconscious 'uncanny valley' thing that means life long boxers can't 'feel' the fight....Fury can adapt his approach on the fly....AJ panics when his prepared game plan doesn't work...he just goes harder at it...this i what will happen
You are a smart man! Best analysis I have read
The crazy thing is that Fury couldn't adapt his approach on the fly, he simply gave up trying to win and he tried to not outright lose, also people don't truly understand what Francis being courteous with his output properly means, Francis is for sure going to be make Aj way more uncomfortable, this is because when Francis lands shots, he will follow up on them more from not having to care about getting tired, where as Aj won't follow up as much because he will overthink getting countered like Fury did
Francis boxed like a boxer lol
Lol
Everybody who professional boxs has balls really dude
According to different accounts including their own words, 1. Ben will not train AJ to fight Fury given their relationship, hence why Ben is talking an Usyk rematch. 2. Fury said Ben left himself because he wasn't happy to play a support role or share training responsibilities with Sugar Hill. I think Ben basically said to Fury that if he's not the head trainer and calling the shots then it's me or him, Fury said he still wanted Hill involved, and Ben amicably left but you'd have to imagine that was a massive hurt on Ben.
Looking forward to it, Ngannou is a big unit, and has all the traits of a top quality fighter, but how does he react if AJ controls the distance, and rams that ramrod jab into Francis, in MMA he could switch to kicks or brawling/grappling and change the dynamics of the fight, Boxing is one dimensional (meaning punches only), how does he change or react. massive respect to Ngannou and of course he has plenty of quality to end the fight, I just feel AJ has learnt from his Usyk loses, controls the distance, and breaks Francis down with confident combos, and porbably stops Francis second half of the fight. The other factor with Ngannous belief, he has announced his next two opponents, both MMA fights, is that in case of a 0-2 fight record or contractual?
Most likely Francis tries to back AJ into the ropes if AJ sticks and moves. Force a grapple and use dirty boxing like he did against Fury? Francis was pretty good at herding opponents against the cage in the Octagon.
A leopard never changes it's spots AJ is as stiff as a board. He is ok if he can control fights with his jab but if Ngannou can have an impact with counter punching it will put doubt in head.
Great video gents , can't wait for the fight, I like both AJ and Francis but il be rooting for Francis big time
In the face off, Francis made a reference to using different tactics, I got a feeling he might fight AJ on the inside
He has no choice but to do that. Same as when he faced fury his belief in I can take a hit to get in and hit you harder is dangerous
@@MrHavince I don't think he fought an inside game persee he was mainly looking to counter...I might be wrong, but got a feeling he will fight a different fight this time
Francis ngannou is just clearly a freak, he’s been wrestling for how long and managed to take down a life-long wrestler in stipe miocic He’s been boxing for how long and managed to land clean and drop a world class boxer like Tyson fury The fact is that with enough athleticism, you don’t need to have the same skills If Ngannou lands a clean shot on anyone on the planet they will probably get hurt or dropped

One thing that's being overlooked here is that aj has a nasty jab. It does damage on its own, let alone if the right hand follows it. The jab to the body will be a problem for ngannou. It will tire him out and weaken the gas tank considerably. We will see on march 8th, but joshua beats ngannou and looks real good doing it imo.
Of course he does . There is a full ten round fight to game plan off

BTW I'm really looking forward to the Zhang v Parker fight. That's a great clash of styles and Andy Lee will have had a good look at Zhang. Do you guys think Zhang might be a little guilty of falling victim to inactivity like Wilder? Sure, Zhang has been a more active than Wilder but not much more tbh, and his last 2 fights were only against a big slow low-skill loveable tree in Joyce and Zhang's like 40 or 41 years old plus a big heavy unit to have to move around the ring at that age... ya I could see how a well trained and active Parker could fight another smart fight and walk that big man hard to get him blowing and out-land a points win in another dull and safe sort of performance.

He said he wanted to put the Usyk fight right for AJ. Think they can do it to be honest.
No need for it. By time Usyk and Fury finish their business, Usyk will call it a day. Father time is knocking on his door, and AJ just has to live with it.
"Can lightening strike twice?" Yes, Francis can lose again. 🤣
By 1 point?
Fury was shockingly bad against Ngannou. I think it was Eddie Hearn who said that Fury looked like he never laced up a pair of gloves before, and I tend to agree. Fury was that bad. He was clearly unfit. No head movement, no footwork and his combinations, if you can call them that, looked very laboured. Credit to Ngannou, though, he boxed far better than anyone thought. But AJ has the benefit of seeing what Ngannou is capable of. AJ to win by KO.
Fury was doing plenty of head movement and feints they just weren’t working bc competent fighters will ignore all that junk see through it and just pick their shots against Fury and you’ll see how overatted his defense is . Joshua’s a different animal he actually has a tight guard and counter punches very fast which makes him less a target even being aggressive, ppl won’t want to hear it but Joshua is the better boxer over Fury add in the power it’s going to be a hard night fir Ngannou going onto his second pro boxing match .
@@UncleTermite no, mate I have to disagree with regards to Fury’s so called head movement. He wasn’t moving his head off of the centre line. It’s why I agree with what Eddie Hearn said about Fury looking as though he’d never laced up a pair of gloves before. And Fury’s feints were so bad, I was actually scratching my head wondering what the hell he was doing. He really did look like he’d never been in a ring before. He was terrible. If Joshua was to fight Fury tomorrow, he’d wipe out Fury inside of 2 rounds. No problem. Now that Ben Davison has helped AJ get his mojo back, it’s clear to see he’s a far better boxer than Fury.
@@CymruCelt01 Fury was moving his head ,even caught most of Ngannou shots on the shoulder using his height , if he wasn’t moving his head and riding majority shots preventing from landing flush he’d have got knocked out . Fury barely got hit cleanly if he did he’d have lost just like in every Wilder fight he had . Joshua would have always been a problem fir Fury bc he’s a boxer / puncher who would exploit Furys sloppy style of loopy punches and lazy guard keeping his hands below his face and around his waist line while being aggressive,he’d have hit countered to death it would have been Ngannou 2.0 . Lol
@@UncleTermite anyone can move their head from the neck. Head movement is when a fighter moves upper body, so that the head comes off of the centre line. Fury wasn’t doing any of that. The left hook that put Fury on the canvass, Ngannou had been telegraphing the exact same shot for the previous two rounds. It was a shot that Fury should never have been caught with. It was only by dumb luck, that Ngannou’s left hook glanced off the shoulder first, or Fury would have been KO’d. You’re right about the third fight with Wilder. Fury’s defence was nonexistent. If Fury doesn’t sort his sloppy style and sloppy defence, Usyk’s going to ruin him.

Very Winnable for AJ but if he gets hit with a power shot from ngannou I doubt he recovers he couldn't recover over 4 rounds against Ruiz so there is that worry he may get caught and not recover in time and then get finished it's a very strong possibility
Aj is the closest thing we have to an old skl fighter. He's had the high, the lows and now on the rebuild. In 10 or 15 years well look back and only he can be seen as a throw back fighter (other than perhaps uysk)... please let the fury hype die and let uysk remake the division and actually box as a boxer and not spend all year have arguments.
Easy to be wise after the event sir. Got it wrong and hold my hand up 🙏
AJ needs to rely heavily on the jab while avoiding being put to sleep.
They'll need to have a stacked undercard for the Usyk v Hrgovic fight in May. Usyk will play with him! If Joshua stays on his bike like Ruiz 2, he'll win on points but... He's gonna get cocky, go for the knockout to better Fury.... And he's gonna get tagged.

Ngannou definitely doesn't have a better gass tank than AJ, 100% not true. Ngannou - Fury was fought at a slow snail pace. AJ went 24 rounds with Usyk. Think about that. Yes he could barely stand after the first Usyk fight, but he was able to go the distance at at a pace 8x as fast as Fury - Ngannou(10 rounds BTW) Ngannou was breathing heavily after round 1-2 and could barely do anything in round 10 as he was just too tired. He has also said he's not capable of fighting 12 rounds. The myth about Aj's stamina stems from the days when he spent everything trying to stop his opponents. These steroid munching muscle monsters(both of them) gass out as soon as they bring anything explosive into play. AJ will outbox Ngannou and get a comfy decision. Maybe he stops him, but a very comfy decision is my bet. Under no circumstance will AJ struggle with his stamina in a 10 rounder against a stationary guy that can't box and who btw is also bigger and heavier than AJ.
Movement isn't the only way to blow a gas tank..Francis will use his clinches
@@davidbrady1825 Probably not. It was Fury who tried to clinch Ngannou not the other way around.
Who knows but I bet AJ does a better job
Some good points made here, but they may both be over-estimating Ngannou's strengths as a boxer. Does he really hit harder, wearing 10 oz gloves, than Andy Ruiz? Ok, he decked Fury. But, like AJ said, who hasn't decked Fury? Ok, he showed a decent chin by taking Fury's punches. But AJ hits a lot harder than Fury. And in a boxing match, it's often the accumulative effect of head punches, round after round, that breaks guys down and "cracks their chin"

Wud not be surprised if Anthony joshua luse by ko or tko just my opinion but let the better men win hopefully filip hrgović next for the ibf mandatory belt Croatian pride worldwide 😍🤜👊🤛🤙❤👍🥊🥊💪💪🤴😘🇭🇷🇭🇷always humble uvjek vjerni always loyal not bad for small cuntry
I am an AJ Fan but If anyone is underestimating Ngannou, we will all be mistaken. Yes AJ is the , Boxing Experience Bitish Prospect,Olympics etc. But Ngannous Hardship is out of this World, The Fighting God's Have chizzled him, gave him a Granite chin and are watching ove this Man. AJ will land more Meaningful shots on Ngannou than Tyson fury Did. I just hope if AJ Gets Clipped by Ngannou he needs to get up Dig Deep and Pull off Another Klitchco Moment 🎉😅🎉
If ngannou catches AJ flush it's goodnight Vienna as for Fury he walks through usyk if he's at his best
What people forget is, Francis don't mind getting hit. Francis will throw punches along with AJ, just like he did in the Fury fight.
It'll be too bulls in there. But they will jab and box a bit for a round or two, but Francis will throw more bombs early than he did with Fury. Francis will take more risks. He knew Fury was tough and had great recovery, so didn't want to leave himself with an empty gas tank. But he has said he doesn't believe AJ will recover from a knock down. Plus AJ doesn't have the movement speed footwork grit and rough tactics that Fury has to get him through a long drawn out fight, or the gas tank. Francis will go for the finish within the first few rounds. And he can definitely finish AJ. So the only way Francis doesn't win is if AJ is able to use his skill enough ro land a massive punch himself and get the finish early.
AJ is good at planning and executing a plan but he isn't good at adapting on the day. When Ruiz put him in trouble he had no answers, and needed the second fight to adapt effectively. Against Usyk he failed both times and had no Plan B for when Plan A failed. If AJ's game-plan doesn't work against Ngannou I predict that he'd f****d.
my head says joshua on points but my gut says ngannou by KO
Both your head and your gut were wrong mate
@@mishw1789 lol that's why we love sport bud
He is not 29. He is lying.
😂😂😂😂
Bro looks old AF. I thought he was pushing 40
The attraction of a Fury / AJ fight is diminishing. They are both (particularly Fury) past their best.
Usyk vs Ngannou would be a joke because we all know Ngannou will punch air for the whole fight , get gassed and possibly get TKO'D or UD
The right hand isn't Francis Ngannou's best shot. It's his most powerful. His best is his left hook.
Or his crazy uppercuts, the short uppercut or his short right streight.
We've seen AJgo 12 rounds 5 times and never looked exhausted in any of them fights apart from the first Usyk fight , the man's stamina has improved immensely and he is able to move well at a heavier weight, I love Ngannou but it's blasphemous to say Ngannous gas tank is way better than AJs
After Tyson Fury defeat Aleksandr Usyk then be can rematch this former MMA MAN and busted his eardrum .
I think we are going to see a gun shy, nervous AJ on his bike afraid to commit until the later rounds. AJ is always the bigger guy and wins most fights before he steps in there. He is not the bigger guy and the pressure on him is huge and Francis has the gas tank. I can’t wait to see how it plays out. I hope I’m wrong and AJ proves there are levels but I’m rooting for Francis to upset the apple cart
