We caught up with Adam Smith in Sheffield yesterday at the press conference for the GBM show this weekend, where he gave us his thoughts on Tyson Fury.

Seems Adam Smith is worried the Fury's will ban him from future shows.
fury will always be in lewis`s shadow, it is what it is. fury has never fought the quality and volume of fighters that lewis fought. lewis fought the best and there were plenty of them in his era. fury beat klitschco in the autumn of his career and wilder that actually dropped fury, not much of a record is it. all the others were canon fodder. he done well but only because the opposition is poor.

Mcguigan is spot on !!! Who has fury beat ? Vladimir who I never rated ,cleaned up a poor division when the top guys quit, Whyte knocked out how many times ,Chisora guys got that many losses I lose count , Frances was very very lucky ,Wallins should of lost on cuts . At least he beat wilder even though wilder can't box

@@davidrees7059 - no it’s not at all- he’s fought three world champions. In 24 rounds with Usyk he won 4 of them - he’s avoided Wilder
It's good to see Adam doing well after his health problems. He seems to have a new lease of life and still one of the best commentators in the business. It sounds like he is talking freely without worrying about upsetting someone which I suspect would have been difficult for him at Sky. Very good interview.

It’s definitely looking like they’re fixing to mug Usyk with all the talk about Fury b AJ & how the fury v AJ rematch will happen at Wembley… so even if Usyk irons fury out cold he will be lucky to get a draw… I always rooted for fury but I just can’t support him since the 2nd Wilder fight, he’s become completely unlikable & such a diva, I am hoping Usyk does a number on him because fury will become even more intolerable if he wins but Usyk is all class & it won’t change him being a 2 weight undisputed champion

Great energy from Adam, great to see him back firing on all cylinders and looking great.
The only elite HW now is Usyk. Smallest amongst the so called top guys and less pro fights than them all,undefeated.. undisputed Cruiser weight,unified HW champ soon to be undisputed. Has the most class and smartest skills.

@@AD-lu8vm during AJ’s period of trying to be a boxer rather than a puncher. He has faith in his chin again now and is far more dangerous now than when he fought Usyk.

In 2015, I thought Fury would go on and become an elite fighter. But to be fair, he has fought too many gimme fights since then, for us to really know. If he dominates Usyk and beats AJ, yeah. Could be classed as elite then.

Apart from wilder who's technically a terrible boxer who has fury fought? But today's heavyweights are not as good as the heavyweights from 70s to 2000

There's something about barry mcguigan i don't like and the way he treat carl Frampton was a disgrace as carl is a top guy and didn't deserve that. He shut him up though by standing his ground and winning the court case.
He is NOT one of the greats, far from it. He would have to beat Usyk and AJ to be given that accolade.
