  • Outstanding match - the rallies had extraordinary number of shots and changes of pace. The slice forehand return by Han during the rally starting @18:37 is for the highlight reel though she lost that particular point but her defence skills force opponent's into mistakes and disrupt their game.

    • That is the point. They are designed to be tempters but very difficult to attack effectively due to the massive underspin. You will notice that Bernie was particularly careful with those and generally only attacked the slightly flatter forehand chops with less spin on them. This is a standard chopper tactic that works at all levels of the game.

  • Желательно чтобы меньше было игроков в стиле Han Ying - банальный перепихон и ожидание ошибки противника. Берни молодец - несмотря на резаные мячи ,постоянно атакует , ещё бы поменьше ошибок.

    • There is no way her chops are able keep up with the powerful loops from the males. Her chops are not even that good, high on the forehead and both sides are very predictable. She needs to step around and surprises her opponent with attacks.

    • @@sponsorello9193 Ну так сильный атакующий накат, смэш , а уж тем более - мощнейший топс, и существуют для того, чтобы "пробивать", выигрывать очки и матчи, нет?... ....В ITTF в середине нулевых задумали унифицировать инвентарь: захотели ввести, как стандарт, пластиковые основания весьма ограниченного (по сравнению с нынешним разнообразием такового) ассортимета. Так вот завыли в первую очередь функционеры, топящие за защитунский недостиль, как "особую красоту" настольного тенниса. Тесты опытных образцов показали, что именно защитуны (даже топовые) элементарно "валятся", если им недодать "магию" их особенного инвентаря. Джо Се Юк тогда был еще "на коне", у него был кто-то из хороших знакомых среди южнокорейских функционеров в Федерации, он ОЧЕНЬ просил не убивать столь любезный ему защитунский стиль необдуманными реформами. Атакеры же, тестировавшие сей новый инвентать, хоть и остались также недовольны, но в общем и целом, показали гораздо большую приспосабляемость к новым пластиковым основаниям. А всего лишь хотели "подровнять" свойства оснований. А если бы на святая-святых защитунов - на "прыщавые" резинки замахнулись?.... Защитунство в мире соременного настольного тенниса это - клоунство чистой воды. Очень жаль, что Федерация пошла на поводу у радетелей сего способа сохранить эту сомнительную "красоту защитного стиля", да еще и такой ценой. Прверяют перед каждым серъёзным соревнованием - а не нашаманили ли игроки себе ракетки каким-то особым веществом, не добавили ли каких десятых-сотых миллиметра к губке? А защитунам всю их инвентарную "магию Хогвартса" оставляют - и все ради "красоты защитного стиля". Ну криж ведь лютый!!!....

  • Another game that shows how easy choppers get. Even someone like Ying Han, who has absolutely no game, and doesn’t give a shit on how high she returned the ball as long as “it’s on the table”, can be competitive at this level.

  • Its a shame to see this kind of situations like. Just because Germany have money, to buy asian players. Am a romanian, and our players are romanian. What kind of european competition is this one? Romania against China? Why we dont see in european championship first 50 chinese players for all countries? Understand maybe you have one foreigner in the top 3 players team, but for Germany all 3 are from Asia top players. Should be rules against that... where are you german weak players???

    • She became a European by choice. Do you think that a person’s genetics and ancestral origin make it impossible for them to ever be considered true Europeans? Do you want to convey the idea that a true European can never be someone whose ancestral origin belongs to a place currently inhabited by non whites? And what’s your view on the French soccer team where almost everyone looks as different from the majority population there as Han ying does? Do you also consider those French non Europeans? I’d like to hear your honest opinions
