"They brought joy to the world." Lindsay-Hogg encapsulated The Beatles in 7 simple words. Perfect.
And they still do. Always will?
@@tombeyerlein3813 Always will.
@@tombeyerlein3813 Yupp! :)
Actually, the correct quote is, "They did bring joy to the World".
@@drutgat2and the pedant of the day award goes to….
Peter Jackson thank you so much for doing a Beatles project. Peter deserves an Oscar .
Well, he's got one, but another Oscar would be nice, too!
Agreed
Get Back & Let It Be are great. If they decide to go along with Peter on doing an even more extended Get Back, they should release it as a mini-episode basically every day January of 2025, to line up with the Beatles' schedule of 1969
BRING ALL THE FOOTAGE
So nice to be able to see Let It Be clean like this, as opposed to my 1979 VHS.
Your 1979 DVD version's got nothing on my 1976 compressed zip file version.
@@lynnturman8157 oops, my mistake. It’s a VHS.
Exactly, it only ever had this very poor VHS quality in. At last the world will see it in Get Back’s quality 👌
I can't describe how much the Beatles mean to me. Thank you for giving us this.
So glad for this restoration. We'll finally get a restored film of the studio performances of; Two Of Us, Let It Be, and The Long And Winding Road.
It's been restored several times I'm guessing. If you watch Anthology, the Let It Be footage is crisp and bright, so they have been cleaning it up over the decades. It hasn't been sitting in a vault since 1970 deteriorating.
@@phillydisco Thats not true. Since 1970 the film never had been restored until now, and the footage until Peter Jackson Get Back in 2021. For Anthology only were restored a few scenes.
@@rafaelesquinardo1086 Not sure. I see your point that they could have just remastered certain sections, but they were fairly random and scattershot. It would make sense that the whole film was remastered, and then they pulled clips from that. If it's been planned to be released for a long time, that would make sense as well. There's always been something that holds it up.
@@phillydisco Your opinion and the truth are opposite things. The entire film hasnt been restored until now. End of the story. Paul didnt want to restore Let it be until he saw Get Back series. The sections in Anthology are only eventual choices.
@@rafaelesquinardo1086 From Wikipedia "Let It Be was remastered from the original 16 mm film negative by Apple Corps in 1992, with some footage seen in the 1995 documentary". And "After additional remastering, a DVD release containing additional footage (tentatively titled Let It A, B, C) was planned to accompany the 2003 release of Let It Be... Naked, " So it is NOT just my opinion.
I can't tell how deeply I'm connected to a band that I started listening to when half of them left this world, half a century later. And I still relate to them. Just to imagine how ecstaticly incredible it would've been to see them perform gives me chills. This world will never get something like it.
This morning i realized that a single day doesn’t pass by without me thinking about the Beatles. It’s true for most of us really.
the 6 hour Get Back special wasn't enough, thank goodness we have the restored "Let It Be" film from 1970. I demand more, More, MORE BEATLes!
*Im thankful we still have Ringo & Paul. The world wouldnt be the same without them*
James Paul McCartney died in car crash on September 11 1966 and was replaced by William (Billy). This is the truth no matter what!
Peter Jackson has been with us for a while now with the Beatles! First Get Back (2021), then helped with lending the MAL technology for the Revolver Mix on 2022, then with the Red & Blue Album Mixes and Now and Then song with music video 2023. I’m sure if Rubber Soul is next this year (2024) then Giles will continue to use Peter’s MAL technology! I hope we see more Peter Jackson involvement with videos as well and MAL! Exciting times to be a Beatles fan!
Been a long time Beatles fan since I was 14, never saw the Let It Be film, I AM HYPED
Thank god for Peter Jackson between the Get Back documentary, D Mixing Technology, and now the Let It Be movie rerelease. This is awesome.
They continue to bring joy to the world ❤
One of my favourite songs 💗
I've been a Beatles fan since I was 11 and I'm now 71. Every day I listen to some of their fantastic songs. Thank you Beatles.
I’ve been a Beatles fan since the 1990s and never saw the whole movie either. I’m super excited…
I saw this version @ the movies when I was 13yrs old. Although I haven’t seen it in a long time, the “Get Back “ version is a happier version. 🥰 Even though I love anything the Beatles are in & have since I was 6yrs old & saw them on Ed Sullivan. ❤️
Can't wait to watch
Can this feature be 9 hours too? I love seeing them talk about this film. What a delight
Do we get to see the full interview with Peter and Michael? I want to know what Michael thought of Get Back and vice versa. Get Back was marketed as a “correct the record” of Let It Be’s events, so I’m curious if Michael feels his original film was maligned to promote Get Back.
I can honestly say, if Get Back wasn't released, there would be no Let It Be release. Paul and Ringo probably got to see the footage in a different light, and finally decided it was time to get Let It Be out too.
Fabulous
I AM READY
Shame it was so short. Hope the BD has the full interview.
How does lindsay-Hogg sound exactly the same after all these years?
people generally sound the same
I take it you mean Paul? Or Lindsay-Hogg?
@@tygerstripes3752 Lindsay-Hogg, yeah sorry
@@CartersRemasters well yes but his voice shows very little signs of age. This dudes in his 80s and still sounds like he’s in his 20s
Very glad we can see the original film again without relying on low-quality bootlegs.
Been a fan since their debut on the Ed Sullivan Show. Still a huge fan. The Beatles provided the main soundtrack to my life.
Let it be on blu ray please!
it took over a year for Get Back. It could happen but it's not likely
Disney have recently seemed to have changed their mind on physical media with the release of some of their Disney marvel shows, so I think there will definitely be a physical release of this with the demand. Altho it will be a year or two away
Geez, I always thought in "Two of us" the line after "Two of us riding nowhere, spending someone's hard earned pay" was "spending someone's autumn day" ...........for 55 years lol
There were multiple takes done of all of the songs, so the lyrics varied. What MLH used in Let It Be wasn't the versions on the LP.
Wondefull, I will,, going..my.❤ 4ever 4 the Beatles ✌❤Elli,from Germany 🌏🌈
I wish a film crew was recording them when they were making a better album like Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt Pepper, The White Album, or Abbey Road
If you watch Get Back, part of the reason for the tension was being constantly filmed. So in all likelihood, those albums would not have been as good as they were if there was a film crew there every day.
The Beatles = G.O.A.T.
Google, how do I watch this without crying?
Peter and Michael before Ringo now that’s disrespectful
Release Extended Get Back please!
Jackson wants too but Disney have no interest.
Битлз действительно изменили мир в лучшую сторону. Я обожаю Битлз.
Just subbed to Disney plus
the beatles is so cool
I hope there's also a theatrical re-release of Let It Be.
Hopefully, when the Blu-ray disc of the Let it Be movie is released there will also be the complete rooftop performance WITHOUT THE PEOPLE ON THE STREET TALKING DURING IT !! One can only hope.
I dig a pygmy, by Charles Hawtry and the Deaf Aids. Phase one, in which Doris gets her oats.
"I hope we passed the audition!"
In Agosto 1970 ho passato una settimana al cinema a vedere Let it be
❤
crazy to think, that only ringo was in his 30s there. and john barely scratched it in the later half of the year.
配信じゃく54年ぶりに劇場公開して欲しいなぁ

Re-Release LET IT BE album now please - With Don't Let Me Down - the stand out performance in the Film - criminally left off originally, Finally included where it deserves to be. The album is crying for it, to make it complete.
What’s the difference between “get back” and “let it be”
About 7 + hours of your life.
1st one positive with less full songs, 2nd on negative with more full songs
I think the positivity of get back is overstated. Yes there are more positive moments but the overall boredom, tension and misery are there to see. Paul literally crys on camera at one point.
"And then there were two."
🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
It's crazy how much Michael looks like Orson Welles, makes sense tho lol
Where's the trailer for Ringo? poor ringo
iirc Ringo doesn't like this movie very much, probably asked not to.
Tomorrow
His role in Let It Be was mostly non-speaking. He sat back and watched the other three melt down. He already had his crisis in 68 and decided to just enjoy the ride.
hype
I was a kid and didn’t understand, then I got older. Friends moved on, we got different interests…then it all made sense. 👍🏳️🌈
I wish somewhere, they would have had the COMPLETE ROOFTOP PERFORMANCE WITHOUT cutaways to the street etc. That's okay as a documentary, but why not let people experience the last complete live concert performed without all the interruptions! Why has no one questioned or thought of this?. You have the film (cutaways) as is...fine, now let people see the last concert complete!!! They obviously have the footage (non-stop) and they edited in all the people saying..."is that the Beatles?" etc. Come on Peter Jackson, Michael Lindsay-Hogg (Disney?), give us that!
Looks like was filmed in this decade. Crazy. Not the biggest fans of Beatles but respect the hustle and have songs I like. To see tis is nostalgic. Love restored film. Hope to see all Michael Jackson’s short films restored.
No chance with jackson's estate . Clowns
Where is Ringo?
Present 2 Hours
I didn’t even know he was still alive
Is this not just gonna be the same as get back that came out a year or two ago ?
peter made sure to not use footage that was already used in let it be when he made get back so it won't be exactly the same
@@luminocitymusic Not quite true, there’s quite a bit of footage that was in the Let it Be film,
There's footage in lib thats not in getback.
Who is your favorite Disney Character?
Es Enero de 1969
Se refieren al lanzamiento del álbum/película
So this is a documentary of a documentary
No lo sé Rick. Pero por el formato de tamaño de la pantalla parece ser más de lo mismo 😂
Ah yes the 4th beatles, peter and michael
WHERES RINGO
Watch through. He's got a line at the end.
Disney, now put out the complete unedited rooftop from beginning to end without the cut aways.
It’s not up to Disney.
Disney is remaking Beatles films because they know that they cannot write anything good anymore.
Not the Peter Jackson redo, this is the restored original film.
The truest of all true Beatles fans were the young screaming girls. They understood the magic of the Beatles in a truer and deeper way than anybody else did at the time and it's taken us a few decades to catch up with them. If you'll excuse me now, I'm going to go scream. And then I'm going to stream the Beatles.
Release This DVD/Blue Ray So Every Beatles Fan Can See It, Not Just Subscribers To Your Over Priced Channel .
Didn’t you tell us when you were promoting Get Back, that Let it Be was defunct and depressing? Ah ok.
Is the restoration AI enhanced , if so count me out
OK. See ya

I’m sorry but Get Back was better
Oh goody, more Disney toilet TV
What does that even mean? It’s a re-release of a Beatles movie first released in 1970
