The patch file can be found on either the github or the nexus, simply googling "Borderlands 2 community patch" should come up with either page!
Can i not use the comunity patch since all I want is to add a singular Relic Mod?
You dont need the community patch, just make sure the mod you want to use is located in your binaries folder and when you go to exec the mod, instead of doing "exec patch.txt" you would do "exec [modname].txt (you dont need the square brackets just the name of the mod file!) sorry for the late reply! hope this helps :)@@markusreed5447

Thanks! I remember that at some point, years ago, I was playing with the UCP 5.0 + python mods with no problems between each other; in fact, there was a python mod that automatically loaded the patch file. Have you tried that too? Greetings from Chile. ^^
so im attempting to apply the hexedit option and it just says error during setup and theres nothing i can do about it, theres no, hey download this, or trying setting up again. i've fully deleted and re-installed blcmm numerous times trying to get this to work, but nothing. any help on trying to get a fresh start on it?

Was following the tutorial and I get to the part that says "setup game files for mods" in the tools bar when clicked it, it gives a long message saying the python sdk can be used and where to download it, but because of this I can't setup the game files to add a console key and execute the Patch.txt any idea on how to get to the settings that should be showing rather than the information and download popup? Edit* Never mind the binding key was moved to the ini teaks option and the along with the other options and the unlock console and remove array limits were moved to the legacy hex edits.

Could anyone help me with the dialogue randomizer? Ive done everything the tutorials say but python cant read it or something!
when i download mods they come as a tpf file then the mod manager says that the mods arent written properly,
so i installed the manager but it doesnt do anything when i hit start. it just closes the program
when I click launch on blcmm it does not open and just closes, what can I do?
also sorry for spam but what do i do if when i did the execute the patch thing and it doesnt say running UCP??

hello, im struggling to get BLCMM to launch. I have Java installed and everything, but i go to launch BLCMM and it opens the initial screen but wont launch the actual BLCMM editing window, so i was wondering if u could help me out with that?

Hey, I did all the step and got everything working along with the community patch showing that it’s running when I go to bar. But for some reason where the mods section should be there is downloadable content, and there is no mods section on main menu. Could u help me out?
That mods section does not exist on using only the txt mods, its purely for the python mods which i will make a video of soon! :)

ok so ive done everything and it litterally just says says exec patch.txt and doesnt activate anything
It says it cant find the mod even though its in the binaries and I typed it exact. It also loads in the blcmm with all the options but it simply says it cant locate it. Any ideas?
are you making sure to type it exactly "exec patch.txt" the .txt part is important

By going to either the github or simply googling "Borderlands 2 community patch" :)
When ever i open blcmm it opens fine but when i click launch it closes and if i let it auto launch it still closes ive got java so im not sure what the problem is any solutions? i know i can still use mods without it and i do have mods working without it but it would make launching all the mods easier and faster

@@kindbud im not sure if this will help but i reset my pc which got rid of any old saves and all the files for blcmm and now that ive redownloaded it its been working fine
Do you know any mod that increases bullet velocity in general? It would make bl2 much more enjoyable and modern fps.

Make sure that your patch.txt file is located in your binaries folder, if its not there your game wont know what your looking for :)
I've been trying to install the bl2 reborn mod using this tutorial and it's just not working. I have moved the bl2reborn file to the right place and checked blcmm to make sure it's there and then when I go into the game and type the command it dosent find the file?
the "exec patch.txt" is purely for the community patch mod file, if you use any other file you need to replace the "patch.txt" part with the full exact name of the mod you are using + its file extension!

Please help 😭 its been drivin ne mad sll night. I got the mords setup and community patch. Whenever i try to run the command exec patch.txt. it says "this mod requires command extensions. A lot of things will not work properly without it"... Om confused man i been up all night ive never had this problem before
That would mean that you need to have the Python SDK installed which i have not shown in this video, as i stated this video is purely for the non Python SDK mods! i will get the python tutorial out in the coming week! :)

@@ZeTruNightmare one thing tho. I got everything working. I was farming warrior last night. But sometimes when I kill a mini boss or a boss the game will crash do u know why?
@@tristonmccalip7808 Could be many things mate, most likely case is mod conflicts which unfortunately i don't know how to solve, best case is to remove all your mods, and add them one at a time till you get the crash from there you know which mod is causing issues :)
So if I install other mods, will I have to open up the console and do the "exec " for the other mods I am wanting to use as well?
no, you only need to exec the patch.txt file, the other mods will load with it so long as you imported the mods as shown in the video :)

When i execute the txt file in the command menu it prompts back with "unrecognized class or object GD_Lobelia_Weapons.Shotguns.SG_Torgue_6_Carnage: WeaponPartListCOllectionDefinition_273" and 3 other of similar variety. Any idea on how to fix this to allow me to launch the UCP succesfullly? thank you!
that seems like a broken mod too me, no idea as to what mod would be causing it though!
I only have the Community patch modded in, tried redownloading the BLCMM launcher and reconnecting it to my BL2; i have all the DLCs so its not missing assets. Very confused. @@ZeTruNightmare

this is fine to use with the handsome collection yes as that gives you the base game ontop of some of the DLC

Hi, i hope y'all doing well, i have recently downloaded the game(from steam) and just realised that there is no social button on my game at all, i cant play the game with friends and my game denies any online connection, everytime i try and go online it goes into an eternal loop of connecting, what do i do, is there a fix, ive browsed numerous articles about the same issue but i couldnt find any fix for the problem.
Have you logged into your shift account, ontop of that have you made sure that A. Your steam is online and B. you have a stable internet connection, if you've done all of these things and its still not working unfortunately I can't help you past those suggestions, hope you get things working as BL2 is such a fun game but even its even more fun when you can play it with friends!

yo i got the mods saved and evrything just when i type in "exec" it says cant find binarys/whatver mod im using helpppp
did you place your mod files in the correct binarys folder, steam -> right click borderlands 2 -> Manage -> Browse Local Files then you want to save your Patch.txt inside the binaries folder that is located in there. if you dont have that folder i cant help you as thats the only way i know how to mod the game, this only works for the steam edition to my knowledge, as i do not own the epic edition so i have no clue on how to mod it :)

@@SlicedBySage it'll be out within the next couple weeks, just gotta get round to figuring out how i want to explain the installation process, this guide is purely for the BLCMM/TXT mods though so any errors you get with python i cant help with RN.
Can anyone help.. I've done everything exactly to a T, but when I'm on the main menu where the character is and new game and stuff, my menu says Pandora Edition (or whatever it's called) and Downloadable Content. Mods menu isn't there whatsoever
as i've said in a few responses to similar questions, the "mods" button will not appear with this method of modding, that is purely for the Python SDK modding method! :)
@@ZeTruNightmare see I watched a video of doing the python skd way too and it still won't show up. Bottom doesn't show any mod button option only an option for Downloaded Content and Borderlands Collection DLC
so the mod menu works but when i try to put mods into the BLCMM the mods dont pop up when i start the game in the menu for example like the exudus mod i tried it and it didnt work and didnt show at at all in the mod menu im hoping u know something about this if u do lmk
Sorry, im unsure as to what you are saying, is it that your saying that when you install the mods through BLCMM they don't show up in a mod list on the main menu or something else? if this is what your asking this is due to the fact that the BLCMM mods are not python mods and thus do not show up within the mod list that comes with it, however the best way to know if the new mods you installed are working correctly, simply check the area where your "badass rank" is located in game and if you see that it says UCP xxx or whatever version you are using then its safe to assume that the mods you installed a long with the community patch are all working as intended, hope this could be of some assistance! :)
@@ZeTruNightmare Yea I think all the mods I downloaded were not BLCMM which I'm confused because I thought they were because I was downloading overhall mods like the exudus I tried it and it didn't work but I got the BL2 fixed mod to work which is good ( I think that mod was python because i just put it where it told me to which i didnt need BLCMM) and when I check the area where badass rank is and it shows that mod which is good. Thank you! The UCP has been the most confusing mod I've ever tried to install into a game. The instructions on Nexus are super confusing and very obtuse.
When I tried to open my borderlands 2 executable it said it was an invalid file, I haven't been able to fix it yet. I have an installation of borderlands 2 on Epic Games, not steam. Edit: Found a fix, pinned comment in this video kzhead.info/sun/ic-Ll7mpqadpoo0/bejne.html

when i load the game i press f8 with the bind set to f8 and nothing happens no console comes up

Windows by default does not show file extensions, it should download as a txt file even if it does not show the extension at the end :)

you need to make sure that the mod file is located in your binaries folder in the games directory

For this method as long as they are txt files that work with BLCMM then yes you can! otherwise refer to the PythonSDK modding tutorial for help with python mods! :)

make sure you are fully hex edited as shown, then use the hotkey that you assigned to open the console not the chat, once done then you enter your "exec Patch.txt"

It works but it doesn't for the file names that have spaces in them
file names should not have spaces, if they do you can simply rename them, this shouldnt impact the mods performance as a whole

the "mods" option that pops up on the menu in my game is part of the python SDK and is nothing to do with this tutorial so you shouldn't worry if you don't see it!

With this method mods cannot be edited in game, only through BLCMM can you edit any mod options!
Does community patch add a enemy scale multiplier? Or know any mod that does?

you dont have to, the massive nexusmods ad pops up after registering but you can close it and 'slow download' it, just done it like 10mins ago

What’s the difference of the 32 and 64 I’m new to pc trying to learn
Your system is either 64bit or 32bit, most systems these days run 64bit but if you have an older machine it might run 23bit, if its a new/newish PC i would just go with 64 bit :)

my mods are all rar files do i need them to be text document like the patch? none of the mods open in the BLCMM but the patch did
that depends on what the mods are, most rar mods are python SDK mods so wouldnt work with this method.

@@Spacewizard606 I get all mine from the git repository as pretty much all the mods there (unless stated otherwise) are text based mods not python SDK mods :)

theres no patch.txt file in my binaries/win32 folder, where do i get one? never modded this game or anything else. having watched shadowevil vid before he said 'it should be in your folder' and i cant find jack shit. im referrencing the time before installing any programs or mods edit - you dont need that patch.txt file prior to modding, ive downloaded just the patch.txt file, dropped it into binaries folder and launched via blcmm
What are these python mods?
Python mods are mods that require the Python SDK to be installed onto your game, an entirely different set of mods compared to what i have shown here!
