@@maurice963 they keep games alive for DECADES. Hell, GTA SAMP still gets 20k+ players DAILY at any given time. That’s insane to me, the game is damn near 20yrs old😭
Because gearbox decided to become the neglectful father who went out to get some milk, and the modding community is the single mom who stood up for wanting the best for her home and children.
@@ihaveaplan.ijustneedmoney.9777 It's a singleplayer/coop game. Gearbox can only support a game for as long as it is actually worth their time. They employ hundreds of people who all need to be paid so that they can go home to their own families. Quite honestly, the amount of DLC, updates, and support this game did get is WAY more than 99% of other singleplayer/coop games. Not every game can be or SHOULD be an ever-evolving game like Fortnite. That game is an exception, not a rule. With that said, that is exactly why modding communities usually end up doing more with the games than even the original developers; Modders have the freedom of time, a complete lack of restrictions and freedom from responsibility, unlike the majority of developers for indie/AAA games.

Dude, I love the mod, but I think it's missing one thing. A legendary drop icon on the mini map
Joltz and co. put more effort into this mod than Gearbox put into the Wonderlands DLCs.
To be fair this really just seems like a twist on chaos chambers. Which everyone hated and that got stale within a month btw and just because it's chaos chambers with RNG and done by Joltz doesn't warrant you to love it or it to be beyond criticism. I mean for a mod it's neat; especially given it's within BL2 which is a far better game than Wonderlands could ever have a wet dream of being, but I foresee the exact same issues that chaos chambers had with this tbh. Maybe even faster because lets be honest; how much variety could they have possibly added just being a small team like this and working within the constraints of BL2. Maybe I'm wrong(I'd like to be), time will tell but that's my immediate take.
Yea i hae to agree it feels the same as the chaos chambers and the arms race in bl3 and the overpower levels in bl2 And the final round is a mini game where you have to find butt stallion And your reward is to just ...continue fighting in the mod? Love jolts and hes content but hes really stretching with new things to do in bl2 and borderlands 1
@trautsj no one is forcing you to pay the mod, choas chamber was REQUIRED to get to endgame, there is a huge difference

This is 100% up mine and others peoples street, who love playing games like, Zombies, Risk Of Rain, Vampire survivors, Dark/Vermintide etc. its a round based survival game. if its not for you sure, that's fine, but don't need to shit on one of the most popular genres (rougelite and horde survival games) of gaming out there,

Ay yo i went to the description to find the source for the music cuz its dope AF, and i see that its YOURS??!?! Daamn well done, its actually very nice and chill to listen to.
SURELY we get "god run" videos for each character, and maybe even highlights from a stream from trying to get said god run? Not sure what that would mean, maybe loop 5 and above? Depends on how hard the difficulty spikes This was such a cool video and have been really excited to see what the end result is and I'm stunned, absolutely incredible
Idea: Whenever you update the mod, you could add vendors and have them take your weapons for eridium and make a eridium-based economy ingame where you can buy red text weapons (maybe even modded weapons).
We don’t know a way to do that unfortunately
vendors could appear in maps like Lynchwood if you get lucky. Marcus sells Gemstone weapons for cash, and Zed didn't change.
@@Joltzdude139 Not sure if this is possible but, would putting in NPC's that act as vendors work? Zed and Marcus can be interacted with directly as vendors.
Really impressive, can't wait for the playthrough videos! All the customization, scaled bosses, pressure plates, vault symbol loot, all your time put into this totally paid off, wizard!!!
Honestly Joltz, this is amazing, ignoring that i love risk of rain so this is right up my street, this is 100% the big push that shows Modding capabilities are definitely still growing. i salute you and everyone who helped you with this project. congrats, With all the things pioneered for the mod from custom objectives, maps etc, i cannot wait to see what BL2 modding will look like in 2-5 years!

Ehh not really. It’s a pretty basic slaughter some type thing. The games been out since 2012 and they just figured out how to make custom quests. I would say the borderlands modding community is extremely weak. Go look at Elden ring, Minecraft, Skyrim, the Witcher, fallout, stalker, any Zelda game if you want cool mods

I installed the mod tonight and had a fun time playing through. The early rounds were stressful when I only had a couple of greens and blues, but using deception on zero and not having to crutch on strong legendaries and slag made the combat more unique than my typical playthrough of the game. Great job!
Omg this mod is so freaking amazing. You really created the dream mod for me. I love rougelike games like issac and gungeon and BL2 is my favorite game of all time. It’s incredible to see honestly. This is awesome and the fact that custom missions are now possible is great. This mod is the tip of the iceburg for whats possible in bl2 modding now. Custom side quests and even story missions could create dlc like experiences.

Hi joltz, I just finished my first run through, I really enjoyed it and thanks for your hard work. and I thought you'd want to know, I found on the Saturn map you can get out of the intended area by using the rocks along the side of the elevator. Just in case you wanted/ can patch it in any way 😁
Just got the part of the video, I get you said you didn't want to add Vendors because it got boring, but (and this is an idea only for if you can customize the Marcus Vendors in BL2, I have NO clue if you can) what if after a miniboss round you can have that blood Cauldron from Bloody Harvest to dump some of your loot in and it takes you to some secret shop ran by Marcus? My kind of thought is a lot of Rougelikes like Enter the Gungeon, The Binding of Isaac, or Have a Nice Death all have a system of good things coming with bad curses, also having shops 'n' whatnot. Maybe if you have the system of "Lose some good loot in your inventory, take yourself to go buy a seraph" or something, it could add that gameplay mechanic that is largely relevant in most Rougelikes today. It could also offer some good risk/reward factors into it, allowing you to get a better weapon at the cause of putting some of your best at the time into being destroyed and now you have that good one and some crappy loot. Don't know, just thinking off the top of my head of random things because I really like the sound of this mod and I'm DEFINITELY going to play it! This is gonna be sick, been waiting for it to release for a while, so glad it's came out at the perfect time for me!
if you jump out of the map in this mod, for some reason, the ammo vendors sell gemstone weapons, and the item of the day is a random unique, so you can definitely edit vendor inventory. you're definitely not supposed to be able to get out of the arenas though lol
@@iconicblackbaby oh lol. I haven't played the mod myself yet, I'm still working on figuring out how to mod stuff and everything. That's a very interesting find though, maybe there's something in the works? Not sure, thanks for that tho, interesting to hear!

Hey joltz! I've been playing this mod quite a bit and I think I saw people asking if other content mods worked with this mod. I did some testing, and from what I know so far, Borderlands 2.5 actually works perfectly fine with Roguelands! Exodus doesn't work, and i plan on trying out a few other big mods like azurelands and whatever else i can find. Loving the mod a whole ton, you guys have done a GREAT job making this!!! (also the easter eggs in these maps have given me some of the FUNNIEST screenshots ive ever had from this game lol)
Pardon my language but I think this warrants it. HOLY SHIT THIS IS AMAZING!!! I remember when people said that custom maps weren’t possible for BL2 and now you guys have done this. So freaking amazing. So proud of you guys and can’t wait to see where this goes and can’t wait to play it myself. Thanks so much everyone that worked on this!!
