Apex Legends Tips
MangosInTrees Apex Legends
My tip is don't take a "break" after season 2 only to return in season 12
Are you me
😂 the game has changed a little bit since then. It is kind of crazy to look back at all the changes that have happened since S2
@@travisoutlaw9511 and to my surprise pathfinder still don't got a passive 😶
Wow sound just like me
Ah a man of culture as well
“Don’t carry too many med items” Mande, casually rocking 6 med kits and 16 syringes: *Holds my beer*
Ever had 24 bats?
@@RoomiestChalice lol I ran into a death box once where someone was carrying 32 shield cells. I think my trio took maybe 8 total between us to top off from the fight.
@@PeanutButterWasTaken did they have a gold shield
Mans does not fear the outside area
Rushing in to help downed teammates is a bad habit I've developed over time, and unfortunately it became a problem because of how quickly people tend to dc when solo-queueing in pubs. I grew accustomed to the ticking clock of how long teammates were willing to wait to be rev'd, and the result was instinctively bolting to their position in hopes of getting to them before they rage-quit. Just another sore point of solo-queueing.
Felt bro. So many of my deaths came from trying to be captain America or somebody just for the f****r to leave usually after I was already too close. It’s wild how you can pay for being a team player in this game 🤣
@@lilbigrstar I absolutely think there should be a quit penalty but how to do it so that it achieves the correct goal is difficult to do.
I hear that. I usually try to ping them even to where it may annoy them so they know I'm coming still.
This one truly helps. It feels terrible to play solo, especially if you know you can’t 1v2/1v3 consistently, but it’s always better to finish this fight, even if you lose the next
@@sparkyenergia They could start by giving them "points" and after 2 then they have a "cool down" before they can join matchmaking again. Every other company out there has done something similar.
Mango: "How to know which is the real mirage" Me: "the one with no footstep audio"🤣
But I’m deaf 😢
@@nashnoche864 sed reaccs only
They all have audio
"shoot the one running in the most likely direction..." well you can use that against players as well. i ulted as mirage once and kept running into a wall next to 2 enemies which probably thought something like "this one is surely a fake" as they started firing at clones i turned around and got em both. fun moment ;)
1. All legends move the same speed, Different legends have different foot step sounds 2. generally 2 med kit 4 syringe 8-12 cells 2-4 batt 3. Knowing where to drop where there'd most likely have loot and knowing how to contest another team dropping in the same area. Free look around to spot other squads. 4. Know what legends abilities do so you know how to deal with them 5. Look for blue flickering when mirage ults. That's the real one or look for the one moving in the most probable direction it'd move 6. rewatch your own pov and assess your mistakes 7. do not rush to save your teammate. assess the situation before going for it 8. Map awareness and positioning. knowing where you've been, the ring, etc. 9. Gold helm gives 25% cd reduc on abilities and knowing who'd have the move value out of it in your squad. 10. prevent deadslides by ensuring you have the right amount of momentum if you're holding a gun 11. ammo is held in even numbers approx 240-300 12. healing items are held in even numbers in stacks of 2 for medkit/batt or 4 syringe/cells 13. Know how to slide jump crouch strafe properly then learn how to wall jump and zip line techs 14. Have the right settings and keybinds (max fov for one)
You forgot the best tip, " Use the charge rifle as many matches as possible". Also, knowing your mistakes isn't enough. I've watched my gameplay and know what I did wrong, but I don't usually remember to not repeat it.
Charge rifle is dog
@@ciccnick if you can’t use it correctly
@@BbgLover445 That's the problem, 99% of the charge rifle users i encounter snipe people from across the map but cant hit shit and just end up dealing 3 points of damage
The Fortnite weapon
@@blitzy6924 it’s weird how people focus on the beam itself and not the huge final blast at the end they don’t even be going for the head shots which do massive dps
The first couple times i played apex i almost exclusively picked up phoenix kits bc purple=good. Died a lot
Swapping the gold helmet with the teammate that just used their abilities is such a good tip!
I once looted a death box and it had 32 shield cells 🤣
lmao
I once looted a box and they had 72 shotgun shells
@@jmlitwiller with a pk?
@@jmlitwiller We're they being a mad lad and running double shotgun ?
probably to keep enemies nearby from healing themselves
Best tip, pick wraith, queue trios with fill, if you're not jump master ping a spot and launch there solo and when you die after a few seconds leave and abandon your team mates.
Yes
good tips, sadly number 3 tip past season and this one became most important to me, 95% of randoms cant break up from formations and going to loot same path as your when you jumpmaster, i got really tired of this and now i very rarely stay at jumpmaster. also with new ring changes i go for 4 medkits now, even if i dont need this much, most likely my teamates going to be need it randoms or premade doesnt matter
I wish my solo queue teammates had this blinding urge to revive as you described.
the anxiety when he left purple shields
Took me a month to get used to changing bats to cells vice versus and all the different ammo types. May I also say I called the devotion the devolution for the entirety of season 2! I also thought that just holding an ultimate accelerant in your bag would just speed up the ult cool down 😂 finding all this stuff out in season three made me feel like such a noob. 😂
Glad you mentioned DPI, it's definitely something people are still missing on, they ask other players about their sensitivity, but most don't mention what DPI they are on, wich is a huge factor even if its slightly different...
Thanks for the video! Very helpful and easy to follow instructions
what helped me improve a lot was lowering my sensitivity and fixing my posture.
I have 6000 hours on apex and this is helpful for everyone starting out 👌 would have been great if I saw it before the 6000 hours I put in. Would have saved me time figuring out myself all these years 👌
You’ve played for 250days. You’re almost to a year of your life just playing video games 😅
Sorry I correct my self, just playing Alex 😅
@@Chasztanincole dont forget covid happened so everyone had time to do something.
Yes it did 😅 but I have a feeling all those sweats you run in to would be playing regardless if covid happened or not 🥴
11:16 ping opacity needs to be changed so when you ADS your pings dont fill your screen very helpful when teamates ping an enemy right in front of you while knocked, allowing you to see him not the ping.
The one that always gets me is when a team mate name is directly behind the enemy. Suddenly I'm being shot by my team mate. Basically dead before I realise whats actually happening.
Crazy how some simple changes can make all the difference. Good tips for everyone to refresh themselves on our good for the new player to grasp.
for the “dead slide” section. you can actually instant slide by holstering your weapon which negates the need for the three steps. also if your holstered already you can instant slide with your gun out. from holster position your hit triangle first then immediately slide. the latency will allow the two animations to happen at the same time
Mines is I wish I knew about this channel when I first started 🤣
Great tips 👌 thanks a bunch
Another VERY important setting change is getting thrown out of loot boxes and crafter when getting damaged. You literally can't loot when you're in zone and it's still activated which could kill you
Is there a chance you could make a hierarchy video on the legends that benefit the most from a gold helmet (from a teamwork aspect) so it’s easier to conceptualize who to give it to on the team?
I can relate kind of. Half of my games with friends have had them do things like run ,loot slow get down as the reser
Love the last one. Though ironically I play with ALC settings but it’s because I used to play Gears so I want that higher turn speed, but I’ve kinda hybridized a few people I’ve watched and it’s helped out a ton I run 400/400 pitch and yaw and then next section is 160/160 250/250. I tried going back to linear or classic and it just felt so clunky and awful to track people that were coming at me.
As a mirage main this is perfect keep listening to these tips because me personally I become the decoy and it works 7-10 just do the opposite of what you think they think you’ll do and “you just got bamboozled”
Something interesting is that free roam open world games is helpful to practice learning a map through experience
Wish I could find someone that is like you willing to help others improve
3:52 doesnt work if they use a white or blue skin. unsure if its a bug or intended. The higher grade skins make his arms visible during the animation. IF you were using a white/blue quality skin you would be completely invisible unless you take damage during the animation.
Good advice bro 🤙
I have been watching your content for 5 days now, ever since getting into apex because COD has flopped. this video got my sub! respect the knowledge and time you put into the video's homie!
I think the biggest tip I would give is to turn on auto-sprint and then put slides to L3 or left joystick now you can do stuff like hipfire and crouch without bending your finger 360 degrees to press Circe or B (Fair warning this does change Zooming in to Circle/B)
I put my jump on L1 my crouch on R3 and my tactical on R1
Thanks for the info, much appreciated and needed. I'm new to the game and still in the "I'm confused, wtf do I do?" stage. lol
Man i wish i can forget apex so i can re learn it all again cause to me that was the most fun part playing
Really great tips. Any recommendations when playing it on a laptop screen. I have observed that my performance is much better on a monitor vs a laptop screen, I have an FOV of 110 on the monitor but have to keep it 90 on my Laptop otherwise it becomes very had to see anything on the small screen.
I’m not a mirage main, but whenever I use my Ultimate, I purposely don’t move to the most advantageous spot if I have enough leeway as to not make my real self obvious, and to directly counter the tip given at 3:45 it’s a great tip, but unless I’m in a desperate situation, you won’t find me 😎
Mango Gang! Let's get him 100k!
i love tip 5 because as a mirage player its easier to fool people who would know where someone would go rather then someone who just shoots any and all clones. less random chance
That wall bounce spinnaroonie in the intro was nice
I'm a top player with pathfinder. Can't wait to start playing again!
"If you don't want coaching, just look at pro players replay's and compare it to your own" is prob the best advice I've heard so far.
I wish I knew what that I should’ve gotten a different heirloom (I got Octane’s)
Do you play a diffrent legend now?
@@JesusChrist-ip7vm no just a little Fortnite here and there because my friends play it
Octanes heirloom is clean though.
only thing about health if you’re a revenant main his hit box is chunky so i always carry a little extra shields and medkits and i usually just drop a grenade since revenant has the silence ability
As a brand new player who is *cough* 36 years young xD My advice... don't listen to people who shit talk you or give negative feedback. Keep doing you and be humble.
Nice video bro 👍💯
This helped me so much I just one 3 games in a row and I’m level 20
Lifeline players PLEASE use ur drone to heal ur teammates, idkw why but everyone forgot that for strange reason lol.
Thank you for making this Mirage mains life harder
I'm a pretty new apex player, but what i noticed that later on in the game it's best to only carry med kits and shield batteries. carrying shield cells will use up a lot of space and it takes forever to restore to full armor.
You’re wrong
@@MangosInTreesit'd take 4 shield cells, which is an entire slot, to fully restore your level 4 (purple armor). 1 Shield battery fully restores it. and 2 batteries make up one slot
@@Ali-xh8du like mango says, it's not really true. even with red evo and just 2 squads left, i always will carry my 4 syringes and 4-8 cells even with 2 med kits and up to 4-6 batts. reason is a cell is faster to use, then a battery and most of the time u havent the freedom to pop up a bat, so that 1 or 2 cells you pop in the fight can save your life more then a battery could safe you there
Thanks man I been playing the game with my homie for about 4 months we both on silver now and like dude we trying to get better but finding a 3rd is nerve breaking and he plays on pc while me on his Xbox and tbh bro is unfair for me but I wanna know what kind of controller sensitivity should I mess with I believe I have everything on medium and six when people go around me I am a monster with pistols but not with anything else I suck at aiming . 😅help
Is it worth practicing on controller? I’ve been torn, I play casual and place high diamond as a casual on mouse and key or controller. I feel mediocre on controller but the one clips are unreal. I feel much better on mouse and key but feel like it would be easier to be better on controller. I just need to get more comfortable on it.
I remember when this did had 10k subs 1 year ago🎉 Well done!
Mango i am just wondering do you play claw or just two thumbs and two pointers?
Rev, Ash, Path, and Octane have basically the same base sound to their footsteps, octanes are quicker step, path has the longest pause between steps do to his stride, revs are the quietest, ash footsteps sound “sharper?” Somehow 🤷🏾♂️
Best tip for me would be to get a new controller cuz I’ve been rockin’ the same knockoff ps4 controller with bare to no ability of slight input. I gotta like rock the deadzone so high but it’s still so finicky
Also you can jump in and off a zip line in under a second and you can do it 3 times but you have to stay on the zip line after the 3rd time
I love the new backpack update three bats in each slot is so good so u can carry like 6-9 bats cells mekit and a few syringes
when a teammate goes down i feel so much pressure because they keep pinging the enemy and are like "He's one shot" like okay so am I lol. I cant even heal in peace
I feel that
Is random strafe is good? It is you go like a little bit of circle, left right, forward back. Like you woudnt even know where you are strafing this is just way to random.
ideally you should know which way you are strafing lol, so you can move your mouse in the opposite direction and hit those shots. if YOU dont even know which way you are strafing then it will be much harder to hit the enemy. if its hard for you to think about that in the middle of a gunfight try developing your own pattern.
It's not good, it's not a great strafe. I still get beamed. crouch jump strafe is better.
@@ratyrat5 It is more like a infinite symbol. Its not that i am standing there still but rather just going left and right which almost all player knows i wanted to do a unique pattern so i tried a infinte symbol strafe. And it is not only just forward and back its mix of everything and after i practiced this strafe with my friend he was shocked and btw both of us are apex predator.
@@Alastor.D yeah might be but i fought against a lot of player who did this but i can easily kill them so i really dont trust this.
@@archxakuma4932 ah yeah the infinite symbol is good. thats my go to strafing pattern for games like apex and quake. as long as u actually know which way u are strafing
I agree with the helment, but now it's better to give it to the better player of the group. One can give it to the blood hound but if he's not to skilled and gets killed it's a huge waste because now the enemies has the helment.
I don't use ALC because it's too much to mess with
I remember discovering the difference FOV makes in *every aspect of the game.* Then showing that to my friends. That was when we broke out of Platinum. Good times. I miss having internet capable of supporting multiplayer...
What happened to ur internet?
@@infinitestrafes7931 Line quality was terrible due to outdated infrastructure. Then I moved deep into the mountains.
@@WisdomThumbs rip
i dont get much time to play but i still want to be better then avg to enjoy the game and i play solo what should i do ?
Bro love the tips even tho I just played this video randomly
i play 5-5 sensativity since i used to play cod a lot back in the day like on 6-6 or something like that
As an Octane main i carry no health items, never had a problem with it
You should update the heals to the new good bag
You should always have at least 1 nade especially w blue backpack +, a time where enemies try to res will come and having a nade can make the difference
I’m returning to apex last time I played was when octane and caustic came out
Pick up the purple armor!!! Left it twice. made me anxious
I like to live on the edge Dalton
What would 4:4 sensitivity on mnk be for controller?
I was in a couple matches with you before for sure
3:43 this is important when fighting against a mirage that is better than you, I ended up kicking the right mirage trying to hit me we were both one hit.
I was sure gibby was slower because I saw someone say it somewhere in a video around season one, I don't anymore ofc though 😂
Another thing with Mirage during ultimate is looking at their feet. Only the real Mirage kicks up dirt when sliding or sprinting
How did you extend the invisibility time of mirages ult like that in 0:45
ye they have the same max. basemovement speed, however their accerleration is based on character size
My tip is don't leave the momenyt you get knocked down or become a death box. Another tip is don't be afraid to loot teammates death boxes if you need that evo swap
Myanmar dia Light I have the demo version right now would you recomnd buying the full version?
Playing legends that have underwhelm ability like mirage and crypto that really need a good angle make me realize how important is map awarness
Can u make a video on why I have preds in my lobbies every game
I always have 2 med kits 4 shield cells and 2-4 shield batteries
You share my load out planned xD welp it gonna get harder
I can't understand the lack of careful backpack storage. Do ppl just pick up things and not check what they have? Carrying an incomplete set of ammo would just annoy me lol but this is sp key because u can easily run out off ammo or heals when u need it the most. Great tips 👌
Nice vid.
nice vid
i didint even know about the pov ty
Having toggles is pretty helpful also knowing that their anti cheat is one of the worst out there
5:40 never use the round scope
Actually, heros do move at different speeds. Smaller legends need to move the same distance as bigger ones, so they have to be faster to keep up. You can see it in the walk cycles.
My friend Is a octane main and I always tell him what a gold helmet does he never listens (I’m a bloodhound main btw)
I usually carry 6-7 shield bats
That's what I do for the heals, I like it
#7 can also be used for real-world scenarios for your safety.
So in any game that you can slide in, i always consistently slide because of WarFrame
Im new in the game i watch alot tips and guides but i still suck I die first one I also cant open character very expensive
hot drop hot drop hot drop, get comfortable with fighting. Gun game is perfect for this
Screw not drop Slow and steady wins the race Mostly talking if your solo
You only need 1 slot for white meds. 2 med kits preferably.
