When considering food storage, knowing the shelf-life of your goods is ABSOLUTELY VITAL!

Ha! I love this. I've had a watermelon for 3 weeks and opened it today because of your video. It was okay.👍😃👍
This is the true value of KZhead. Thanks for your contribution. Now I know.
Well the watermelon may not have been great, but it looks like you were having a great time and making awesome memories. That just can't be improved on.
I couldnt agree more
Lol my watermelon is 4mos old I just cut it now I need to do something with it. Oooh that's why the color is a bit faded, it's on it's way to turning yellow, I'm glad I didn't wait any longer. Mine tastes pretty good. Thanks for the video!
I saved one for 6 months and it was still red but more light pink than anything. I couldn’t imagine taking a bite of it. I can’t believe you guys tried it. My stomach can’t take that type of punishment.
These kind of people never cease to amaze me
Useful to know. Also the beard rocks.
Thanks a lot Matthew!
Cool. Thanks
Hey thanks for watchin' PJ
That is amazing it wasn't a puddle of rot after so long
I agree
can you share the storage tech for long time.
Was it a yellow melon, or did it turn yellow from age?
That man has a strong mind… how can he even taste that thing lol. He is a real survivor
Variations on a Dad Joke... Thank you.
lol
Haven't had one make it past about 2 weeks.
I won't lie I had to look away when you took a bite of it.
Yeah it wasnt the most appetizing
The reason I watch this is that I have a watermelon that's a couple of months old, and I'm going to open it up, but I wanted to get a take on how it would be; but yours is really old so maybe mine still stands chance, as long as it's not poisonous to eat, if it tastes good, I'll keep it of course or share it with the squirrels the chipmunks and the little birds in that come by from our feeders, because they like watermelon too, our birds, especially the Blue Jays. At the other place we live at before we moved here 4 years ago, I put peanuts on the deck thinking the squirrels will be all happy, but they got into a fight with the Blue Jays because the Blue Jays wanted the peanuts... and one blue Jay actually took it away from the squirrel, so it was hysterical, and the squirrel seemed pretty perplexed by this! So now, today I've learned about watermelons and how possibly they can still be GOOD after a while, which I will find out shortly... And others have now learned about peanuts on decks when squirrels and blue Jays get into a fight over them! 😂
This is funy lol ... I have one in my fridge iv had it about 8 weeks ... I don't no wether to chop it open o not .🤔😐"
Zack got some meat hooks 😭 look like he holding a football
Excellent video;would like 2 c more...
How did it not shrivel up and ooze? Must be a GMO variety...
that would explain it
Lmao how did y’all even think about eating any of that? 🤣
Having fun with friends.
true story
That wasn't a waternelon that was a cocoon, lol. Did any get drunk? Did it ferment?
Well..?.. Probiotic or dysentery?! It’s a microcosm for camping ⛺️....some of my greatest memories are from camping with friends when the kids were young as well as some of my worst!! Looks like a lot of fun! (Or misery)..
lol thats a very accurate statement. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times!
Lake Champlain!
Very cool, I'm still laughing
Yeah me too!
Oh, that's yellow. I always like something that is a pit pink/red inside.
Tastes like a sponge
Watermelons age like wine so I hear!
Perhaps I had the wrong sort of watermelon lol
@@ZackOfAllTrades at least it still looked good though! Lol
weird, firm and yellow, wtfo.
I think the yellow part is just that they were yellow watermelons from the start, cant say for sure though, very wierd
Look for the wasp scabs . Not the scrapes encountered in transport..
good point
Zack Of All Trades I should point out that you still need to thump it so you know if it's firm or mushy. The "wasp bites" are only a good indication that it's sweet...or sweeter than the rest of its contemporaries. Also, it's a good practice to smell all your produce when selecting it.
Cool, thanks for the pointer!
Why would you eat it!!!!???
😂
Do not eat that!!! You are now going to do a video about how to cope with an upset belly while camping. Oh boy...
lol
@trha2222 😂😂😂
Any fruit would be inedible after 9 months...duh!!
Gourds and some kinds of squash can last that long
@@bakachiki491 yeah it was evolving into a gourd 😂😂
Many many fake websites in the comment section. The only one that was real for me is GameCrook
Yuck no way!
