  • Lol my watermelon is 4mos old I just cut it now I need to do something with it. Oooh that's why the color is a bit faded, it's on it's way to turning yellow, I'm glad I didn't wait any longer. Mine tastes pretty good. Thanks for the video!

  • I saved one for 6 months and it was still red but more light pink than anything. I couldn’t imagine taking a bite of it. I can’t believe you guys tried it. My stomach can’t take that type of punishment.

  • The reason I watch this is that I have a watermelon that's a couple of months old, and I'm going to open it up, but I wanted to get a take on how it would be; but yours is really old so maybe mine still stands chance, as long as it's not poisonous to eat, if it tastes good, I'll keep it of course or share it with the squirrels the chipmunks and the little birds in that come by from our feeders, because they like watermelon too, our birds, especially the Blue Jays. At the other place we live at before we moved here 4 years ago, I put peanuts on the deck thinking the squirrels will be all happy, but they got into a fight with the Blue Jays because the Blue Jays wanted the peanuts... and one blue Jay actually took it away from the squirrel, so it was hysterical, and the squirrel seemed pretty perplexed by this! So now, today I've learned about watermelons and how possibly they can still be GOOD after a while, which I will find out shortly... And others have now learned about peanuts on decks when squirrels and blue Jays get into a fight over them! 😂

    • Zack Of All Trades I should point out that you still need to thump it so you know if it's firm or mushy. The "wasp bites" are only a good indication that it's sweet...or sweeter than the rest of its contemporaries. Also, it's a good practice to smell all your produce when selecting it.
