That old man is so frustrating. I really hope my parents never get scammed like this.
They are old to understand how today's world work
@@deoxyribose they know perfectly how the world works, but most of them do not know how the technological or electronic world works, that is the problem
Thing is, they come from an era where banking was face to face, so such calls don’t stand out as odd, but a “welcome” return to how it was.

I wonder if the next generation of old people will fall to scams like this anymore, we won't be new to technology.

@@XJacksonvilleXlol, nah it’s about saving the oldie. You’ve lost the plot.
"No no no, you're obviously a scammer. Now I'm going to hang up the phone because I need to mail this box of cash to my bank." This is obviously a terrible thing happening primarily to the elderly, but the ridiculousness of the situation is difficult to ignore. You went above and beyond and it's unfortunate that the people who are most aware of scammers are, quite understandably, skeptical of you. And as has been said but cannot be stated enough, your good work is appreciated.
Bro, after the first call I would have given up on the old fart tbh 🤷

These scammers are vermin. Preying on the elderly and vulnerable is truly disgusting. Thank you very much for going after them and disrupting their activities.
I'm an indian..these frauds are shame to our country..you are doing a great job..
It really is a shame bc a lot of people now think scammer when they hear an Indian accent. And when majority of scam calls are from those people it affects the country as a whole.
Huge shame, Indians are so proud of their country and what they produce. we sadly associate indians as scammers.. The authorities and the government must work hard to undo this.
@@1lagarti Union Govt not taking any action regarding this
For everyone else, remember, the money mules are usually from whatever country is being targetted: Americans in the US, Brits in the UK, etc. Thievery knows no national, ethnic, or religious boundaries.
Unfortunately whenever I hear an Indian accent on the phone I’ll always immediately think of scams and scammers and foul little insulting f***ks … obviously the government of India doesn’t give a crap what the world thinks of them since they won’t clamp down on this …
Did anyone else feel angry that when the old man said they’re both not in good health the scammers didn’t care at all and continued regardless!! I can’t imagine the relief the couple must have felt when they found out it had been intercepted. It’s just a shame they didn’t believe you to begin with… not all elderly people are this lucky.
Definitely. I also got angry at the post office worker who barely took this seriously - I was actually on my break haha lol. And also the police officer seemed disinterested as well - yeah, yeah, we got this, bye.
I'm not gonna lie, I felt a little angry when the woman at the post office was like "oops! I was on my break then haha" 😐 smh.
@@IceStationZebraAssociates I think the police officer was OK. He can't go blabbing about investigations over the phone to someone who just calls up. He was right to be cagey and abrupt.
They were willing to believe scammer but not the person trying to help them.
The postal worker was also an absolute donkey. Why wouldn’t she tell all her workmates everything before going on her break? Anyway, next time the police should’ve been called, not the post office
That victim reminded me of an incident witnessed by my brother Tim - he saw a woman at the drugstore in a heated argument with the clerk over gift cards - the clerk told the woman she was being scammed and the woman would have none of it - the argument went on for several minutes. Ultimately the woman stormed out because the clerk refused to sell her the gift cards - no doubt the woman went to another store to try to buy the cards. There is an old saying that it is easier to scam somebody than to convince a person that they have been scammed.
Some people need to learn the hard way.
@@_.Madness._ considering the old man in the video had already sent 5 thousand pounds to another scammer, I don't think they'll learn unfortunately
With numerous people, it's more not liking the feeling that they been had by something so seemingly stupid. It's partially the psychological phenomenon of people doubling down when being confronted and a little bit of the sunken cost fallacy.
Hello everybody I just wanted to say that Jesus loves you all and so do I ❤ I believe the end is near so now is the time more than ever to actually study His Word! Good luck to all out there and stay strong 💪 🙏
boomers are stubborn
My parents, in their 80's, were fooled by a PayPal scam. They got as far as the market checkout line with a handful of gift cards. A conscientious clerk recognized what was happening and saved the day. What really pissed me off was that the a-hole scammer made them drive to the store during a horrible thunderstorm with high winds. They could have been hurt. Keep it up.
I just wanna say i watch alot of scambaiters, and you are my favorite because you focus less on time wasting and trolling, and more on helping victims directly. I think thats really admirable.

I get that they're old, but jesus. "Put 5k in cash into an envelop and send it to you? Why, certainly!" "..What do you mean this is a scam?? YOU'RE A SCAM!!" Lol it's like, he thinks the person telling him to NOT SEND MONEY is a scam??? what???
And the funniest part - It's an INDIAN WITH A THICK ACCENT. I thought old people were exceptionally good at being racist.
@@maxwell_edison849 There are plenty of legitimate Indian customer support centers, so that unfortunately lends an air of credibility to the scammers.
@@maxwell_edison849 Reality is that they are only getting the gullible (or just plain stupid) people to start with since they are gullible enough to fall for the obvious scam call. I wouldn't be surprised if they convert a double-digit percentage of the people who fall for that initial call.
@@curtisbme This is the truth, hard for me to feel bad for some of these people sometimes. They get warned by family members, random hackers in the UK, and even people who work at the stores they buy a shit ton of gift cards from, and accuse everyone but the actual scammer of lying to them and being scammers, it's so very odd and dumb.
Thank you a million times over for your committed service, love and passion to care for our elderly. I am a 75 yr old woman from Aotearoa New Zea Land. Regards to you and your family. Take care and God bless.
Poor Mr. Clark. When he said he was in a struggle I teared up. These scammers are such heartless bastards!
As crazy as it sounds, I was almost more furious with "Mr. Clark" than I was with the scammer. When I hear calls like these, where a victim is fortunate enough to be rescued by someone like you but refuses to shut their mouth for ONE SECOND to just THINK, then goes so far as to insult their savior AND rat them out to the person robbing them blind... AHHH! I just want to reach through your phone and shake some sense into him! Wonderful job as always. Every decent human being on earth appreciates what you do, even if the people you try to save don't appreciate you in the heat of the moment. Thank you!
Yes I agree, Mr Clark's reaction was very annoying - but by this stage the scammer had pretty much brainwashed him to be suspicious of other people, such as local bank and Post Office employees, who could possibly have saved him.

People are programmed to be anti-establishment nowadays. They are far more likely to believe they are being lied to and manipulated by their institutions then by some random guy on the phone.
He believed the bank branch was stealing from his account so he didn't trust his own bank.
@@ayberke8066 How does anyone believe that? It's pretty easy to verify if the money you put in there is still there.
@@eballer48 for you and I, it's simple. We log in to our account and see our money using browser or an app. For the elderly, majority don't know how to use their own device, they strictly use ATMs and branches to manage their finances.
@@eballer48 the scam starts with a notification of a purchase and transfer that they didn't do, and the scammers give the understanding that they noticed the unusual transactions because the y were paying attention to the accounts of that branch because it was fraudulent, and then stepped in to protect the customer and stop the transaction. The customer than thinks the evil bank people are doing that to a lot of other customers and they themselves were spared by the investigation team, and now have to create a new account to be free of the "evil" bank. The money hadn't been taken out already, but they thought it was about to be. It can be believable, especially if you don't know how banks work and what it takes to open an account

The reason it's easier to scam someone than to convince someone they've been scammed is because of the human ego. Nobody likes the idea that they can be fooled or get had by a scammer because they feel embarrassed by the simple mention of it. The ego is one of the greatest tools but also the most common and destructive downfall of mankind. Very little of what you do in your day to day life isn't driven somehow by your ego. Very little. Often even the kind things we do is driven by our ego and sense of self.
I agree with you. Ego is good at two things. Getting you effed over or killed.
Yeah that’s true. Some have ego issues so they’re in denial. Some are are just straight gullible.
Indeed, and that is why I don't believe in a truly altruistic act...
Some times ago I warned my mother about a (local) scam group, their likely name (they changes name frequently), how they work, how they trick people, etc... After that day I went back to university dormitory (in another city). 5 days then I went back home and heard my mom got scammed $13k by the exact same group, with the exact method as I told her 5 days before. She said "who even knew they are scammer", I replied "I warned you last week", then I got mad at for the whole week. For some reason she didn't want to report to the police, and didn't even give me the scammers' phone number so I can report it myself. I just feel sad....
Remember reading a study about how it's easier to scam someone with a high intelligence due to them overestimating their intellect. They think they are above being scammed by people stupider than they are. It teaches you 2 things: 1. Just because you're a genius on one subject doesn't mean you're not an idiot. And 2. Until proven otherwise, view everyone you meet as either just as or more intelligent than you. That way you're always on guard.
I'm old enough to remember when this scam was done in person (pre-internet) - scammers would intercept someone outside the bank, say they were investigating a dishonest employee, needed the victim to withdraw some cash and then hand it to the scammers outside the bank. Promising to give it back but of course it was gone forever.
How the hell did that scam ever work? Who would be so dumb to fall for it?

@@wollfaden1979 The poor guy had been manipulated into thinking he was talking to his Bank who were running an investigation to find criminals in the branch. He had come to trust the scammer and therefore not trust anyone else who called and tried to help, he was not aware of the scam and certainly not aware of scambaiters or anti-scammers ! Calling him dumb is especially unkind since the guy was obviously not in the best of health physically or mentally, he cannot be blamed for falling for this type of scam !
That conversation with the old man was heartwrentching. We should conduct free classes for elderly people on common scams and how to avoid them.
6:41 that picture is literally my old house!😳what a coincidence, I have been watching the videos and I love the content and to find my old house in a video is amazing 😂
I literally cant believe this... do these people not have ANY street smarts? NO bank asks you to send money like this...
"take out cash, put it in a box, send it to a random place, and literally lie about the contents (7:03)" -standard bank protocols. just _normal bank stuff._
@@SpaceMissile oh yeah typical bank stuff
he was about 85. that generation are very kind , honest and gullible.
Are you 87? Did you live in society before television existed? Before the computer? Before electronic money? Before the internet? You have no idea how confusing this world is to people who have.
@@thehandleiwantedwasntavailable yes i do understand, hence my comment about their ignorance of today's society. Your attempt to use rhetorical questions and repetition to persuade me that I do not is poor to say the least.
Had a scam like this in Germany, played allong and send them a tight packed box of vaccum sealed Yeast fresh from the bottom of my fermenting bucket. Nicke thing is when you seal the Stuff mit some extra sugar, and wrap the small brick good with tape before putting it into an box......it will explode when you cut into it with an boxcutter. One liter rancid fermented yeast, on a nice summer day, delivered to Berlin on a hot summer day in August 2015
Their reaction had to be priceless, did they call you back or anything?
Awesome work- it was tragic to hear that old man believing the scammers more than you, trying to stop the scam..You'd think that posting large amounts of cash to a random address would be pretty obviously NOT what a bank would ask someone to do! I'm so glad you got the parcel intercepted and the mule address investigated by the police. Even better that you destroyed the scammers computers saving others from being scammed. Keep being awesome.
I absolutely love the satistics u add about everything! It really does make these better
I was legit horrified at the thought of the old couple losing their money. It has happened to my dad once before and ik how long it took for him to recover from that. You sir are doing a good job at keeping the scammers in check. I wish there were more of you, it would be a scammers worst nightmare
ok kumar
Its real my dad lost 10k on craigslist to some indians
old people are the easiest. i used to be a theif, and a con artist. i was a teenager with a very hard upbrining. i would target old people, they are very 'dumb' and they believe anything, and i dont understand why. considering they have been alive for what, 60 years? and they dont have experience with this? LOOOOL. kinda rip. old people are the dumbest on earth.
@@SR-yt2bc they’ve been alive for over 60 years, but the technology the scammers are using is brand new. They have ZERO experience with it and it looks to them like it’s real because, once again, they don’t know any better. @@lils426 preach, these scammers are scum that target the weakest links, really wish the boomers would take greater interest in tech matters because these scams are easy to identify with minimal education
Love how these scammers are not trying to be customer-friendly service people
Cause they getting excited about they scam working and then frustrated when stalled lol
Love your work. Thank you for fighting this for so many people!
I tell you what, You have the most entertaining and get straight to the point scammer busted site. You are extremely good at what you do. You should be employed by our Government or a organization that battles scammers and hackers. You should be compensated well for your expertise. I sure an glad you are on the good side, Even when the scammers try to attach you and they cant because you are 5 steps ahead of them. Absolutely Genius.
It’s pretty frustrating to see the victims punching themselves while getting screwed by scammers. I understand that he’s elderly but talk about extremely gullible.
We can’t imagine what it would be like to be close to 90 in this era. The guy is old enough to remember life before television, computers, internet.
they deserve it
He is old I won't blame him! The people scamming him are utter shame to our country!
To be that gullible is a crime in itself
Not only elders are being scammed.
Discovering a money mule address in the UK is massive, really great work man. Hopefully people in connection with this will go to prison.
Wrote : _"Discovering a money mule address in the UK is massive,... Hopefully people in connection with this will go to prison."_ They won't. The police can't be bothered, you can tell that from the policeman's attitude on the phone. It needs some politicians to raise this to the level of an international scandal, threatening sanctions. Have Western leaders raised it with Indian leaders? No.
@@lexlayabout5757 if you Google the address they mention in London, the first result is from the Enfield Independent about a scam artist getting arrested, so it's very possible the police did follow through.
@@lexlayabout5757 they do get arrested btw. Especially when the work is already done.
@@lexlayabout5757 fucking hell "Western leaders" you aren't even from the fucking UK The police here take scams VERY seriously and doesn't need a fucking politician to do wank Pardon my fucking French on this one but fucking virtue signalling? Really? The police are stretched *thin* trying to deal with scams along with the other deluge of crime. Why has India not done anything? Because if you actually pay attention the Indian public *DESPISE* scammers as they tarnish the country. And the police there are extra vigilant in trying to shut these down, to the point these companies will have a legit front and operate a scam in the back room.

Love your channel. Thanks for all the hard/smart work you are doing
and then there’s my mum who won’t pick up a call from an unknown number in case it’s a “scammer”, i have to explain that simply picking up the phone will not charge her credit card or grab her bank details 💀
That’s the spirit! 😆
soooo reletable
I don't pick up calls from unknown numbers. 95 percent of the time is people trying to sell me something. My line phone is just disconnected at this point, because in that case is 100 percent of the times.
My phone won’t even ring with unknown numbers. And I’m alright with that as long as they leave a voicemail I can get back to them if they are legit.
@@pumajlr I enjoy salesmen and scammers calling me because I can tell them to stuff themselves where it hurts.
What you are doing is the finest, most noble thing I've seen. My heart was breaking as that old gentleman mentioned that he and his wife were "not in the best of health", and the scammer just continued on with the scam. He fully believed he was being helped! The sargeant at the police station was quite right: this happens far too much. Bless you, sir, for your efforts. That Fun! Fun! Fun! hack was awesome!

I love that the scammers are unknowingly spreading your power and influence themselves. Some fantastic, ironic justice right there.

Honestly though. The way the victims sound so proud of themselves for reporting the person trying to help them, when you're literally trying to prevent them from sending a stranger one, lol.

Great video, and thank you for the work you do - I feel less worried for my elderly relatives.
You did a good job in helping stop the money going to the scammers. It's strange how some people think it's normal to put a lot of money in a box and send it to some random address because someone on the phone tells them to do it.

I'm glad for guys like you, Jim Browning and Kitboga are shutting THESE PEOPLE down and out of business. You are a real credit for ALL mankind!
Don't be so naive, these scumbags will never go out of business, the money is good and there are only so many good guys to stop them. It sucks, but as long as the Indian govt/police doesn't do something about this, it will never stop. All they need is a cellphone to fuck someone over.
