  • some people don’t understand that , if you aren’t honest with someone , the person doesn’t improve and keeps doing it wrong.

    • Exactly! I remember working with vocal coaches that would get irritated with me. It wasn't out of hate; it was out of caring so deeply about singing correctly. That's how you get better at it. You need to pay your dues and learn the correct ways or fail. Vocal coaches aren't there to be your friend, they are there to help build your vocals up and polish them.

    • I don’t think she was doubting her ability. I think she had a preference for those legato notes and delayed vibrato, and she was being stubborn in making those fixes. But she is an incredible singer regardless.

    • @@whitneyhoustonstan2472 I don't think so. 😂 Check out 3:10 where she's trying to claim she just doesn't like it, Cheryl calls her out on it, and the girl gives that suppressed half smile people always give when the realize you believe in them more than they do, and that you won't let them get away with pretending they're not capable. "Nice try, sweetheart's subconscious, but not on my watch." "Aww, she BELIEVES in me... well $#!+, that means I actually have to WORK..." 😂😍👍 Cheryl is the best.

    • No she nails it, but it’s too emotional song. Even if this song is not about her dad, in this vulnerable stories of singer and writer there are similarities of hate and love at the same time. Sometimes we forget that the one who sings also need to go through all the emotions and storyline of the song itself. That is the difference when someone just try to hit note and sing and when someone feels every part of the song fights and sing.

She does it, because she sees her potencial to be a top tier singer. Hence why cheryls frustration with the student repeating technical errors. Criticism on that high end level makes a good singer becoming a phenominal singer. This video shows a huge level of mutual respect and support. Go cheryl❤

She continues to rise to the challenges that "cattiva" Cheryl pushes her to confront. Even how the student pushes back when she disagrees shows her level of trust and comfort with her coach.
