  • Linq is a good system. Skidoo was really thinking when they came out with that. I’m glad it works on other sleds as well. Good video Greg!

    • Agreed. One of the best things Skidoo ever came out with. I bet Skidoo is glad it works on other sleds also.. 😁💰💰💰 Snowing hard here right now. Groomers were all out in force last night up north. 👍🏼

    • @@SometimeIsNow there are a lot of trees down on the trails after our snow dump. Heavy wet snow did it toll on things. As soon as the trails cleaned up again they will be open to ride. It’s cold here now with lows below zero. That is going to set everything up good. Need more ice on the lakes and swamps but with due time. Take care Greg!

  • One of the best things they invented for a snowmobile. I got 2 bags and gas can on my back country

    • Hey Big Murph, Welcome back. I totally agree. Skidoo has some amazing accessories. LINQ being the top one. Thats why you see them on every brand of sled out there. 😁 I had the Fuel can and two 17L Linq bags that I used on my ‘18 Renegade 600 etec and the ‘20 XRS Renegade 900T. I love how easy they are to attach and that is why I installed these brackets on the Cat. My issue was, If the tail of the seat was alittle shorter I would have been able to get both sets of the Linq brackets mounted like on the ‘20 900T but I found out that if I use the dual caddy it was a lot thicker and I would have had to place one set of brackets in a different area of the tunnel and it just wasn’t going to work. I also figured out how to install the Skidoo tunnel scratchers on the Cat, that’s why in my last Elka shock video I had the area blurred out. Until I figure out if I want to release the idea to see if anyone would be interested in purchasing a kit if I started selling them. You don’t see Skidoo Tunnel scratchers on a Cat because you can’t mount them like you do on a skidoo. I spent a month and a half on the idea, Cutting out parts on a plasma table then powder coating the parts to add color. They work perfect with a few modification. 👍🏼😉

  • I have the same setup on my 2017 RR and the linq items seem to get a little wear at the plastic mounts and now wiggle around. I don’t like filling the gas caddy at the back like that either but do when necessary

    • Hey Northern Toyota, Yeah.. It has wiggled alittle from new with the gas can and Linq bag stacked up. I just used the gas can and Linq bag when I was in Maine last week and it worked as it should. I won’t use the gas can much but like you stated, when necessary I will use it. Take Care

    • @@SometimeIsNow right on. I just did about 700 miles in northern New Brunswick, likely close to where you were in Maine. Only needed the gas caddy 2 times as I didn’t want to pay $3/L at the clubs for fuel. That’s pushing $12/gallon, no thanks! Little over Half that at the gas stations

  • Did you ever consider the Speedrack system w. box? I guess that wouldn't allow for a gas can. However I'm thinking about getting the biggest possible cargo box for my t-cat but haven't decided which system to go with yet.

  • Hey Greg, great content as always. Anyway, I'm debating making the switch over to a 23 ZR 6000 from a 850 MXZ. Always preferred a 600. Never owned a cat and would really like to give one a try. Always loved the look of them. If you have a second how do feel the cat chassis handles in comparison to the g4? Thanks, AJ.

    @flyingpumpkin1858@flyingpumpkin1858 Жыл бұрын
    • Hey Flying pumpkin, Thanks for dropping by the channel to check out the videos, It’s appreciated. 👍🏼 I’m definitely not brand bias. I would own one each of all 4 brands if I could. IMO the Cat chassis corners flatter than a G4. The Procross chassis doesn’t require the body movement to get it to corner when riding it harder through the windy trails. It’ll make you lazy riding it, it handles so flat. Lol The main thing I would bring up is if personally will feel comfortable sitting on the Procross chassis with its different riding position compared to the G4. I let Brad ride the T-Cat and I rode his Mach Z and he commented the Cat for some reason bothered his knees. I didn’t notice that issue myself. I did notice that the Cat doesn’t spread your hips apart like on the G4. Skidoo, having the chaincase in the right footwell and the brake rotor guard on the left side pushing your feet & legs apart more and could bother some people’s hips. I personally liked the Cat with the EPS so much I sold my 900T and I’m not looking back. 😁 I think a small part of it was I’ve never owned a Cat before. I’ve ridden Skidoo since 1997 and just grew tired of Skidoo year after year, after year. It’s like buying the same brand of truck every year for 25 yrs which I haven’t done. I’m looking forward to riding something different and new to me so the Cat fit the bill. It’s my understanding that the ZR6000’s 600 motor is a nice motor and are nice sleds. I can’t comment on fuel or oil consumption for the Cat as I have experience with that motor. If you don’t need the 850 power and a fancy color gauge package Skidoo offers, you just might like the Cat. 👍🏼 Take Care

    • Hey Alan, I wanted the option to carry fuel when I go up and ride with RichOutdoors in Qeubec. There’s a part of the trail that doesn’t have fuel this season (Halfway Haven) as it’ closed this season and the 130 mile range wouldn’t be enough to make the run. I’m just planning ahead. As far as the T-cat weighing 650 lbs. You’re incorrect… It weighs 690lbs.🤣 I for one don’t care what a sled weighs.. I’m over the, that sled weighs more than that sled. To me they’re all heavy. I have race scales and weighed multiple sleds and they’re all heavy. Even a new ‘22 Polaris XCR 850 is 601lbs. I never ride off trail so It doesn’t matter to me if a sled weighs 900lbs. The T-cat has power steering so you don’t feel its weight which is a plus. 👍🏼

Never had an issue with any of it. I’ll be curious to see Cats new ATTACH system they’re coming out with on the new chassis. Seems similar to Polaris but lockable. 👍🏼
