  • For the longest time. I never understood why Coach Saban left the Dolphins. Years later, Saban revealed why he left Miami. It was because Miami was unwilling to sign Drew Brees. Brees would have been the final piece to Miami's championship run.

    • There's never one reason, there's a lotta reasons that go into this decision. Stay in the NFL, you're at the mercy of ownership, draft position, free agency and the cap. In college, you are coach, GM and team president. And if you're really good at recruiting, you get 20 first round picks out of high school every year.

    • I mean, would anybody really want to coach in the NFL and not have any kind of control? The players look at you as a supervisor so you don’t hear from them outside of practice and games. They show up whenever they feel like it. The corporation of the franchise you work for and coach at makes all the decisions for you and doesn’t really take your thoughts into consideration. Then the team loses and it’s your fault. Not the players, not the corporation, but yours and yours alone? Then you get fired for things out of your control because corporate thought it was a good idea at the time and proved not to be? Nah I’m good on that I’d stay at the college level

    • @@paulshears5202 The reason I thought it was interesting was because it seemed he was saying you simply can't compete for a championship in the NFL unless you have a great QB.

      @PatriotsVideos@PatriotsVideos4 ай бұрын
    • @@PatriotsVideos I see what your saying now. Really you don’t have to have a great QB your right. But if you have a terrible QB that on average throws an interception every game your less likely to win. Defenses are so fast and good in the NFL if your QB like what he had to deal with isn’t that good and turns the ball over you’ll get beat whereas a lot of that can be overcome in college. It can’t in the NFL if corporate is unwilling to sign a decent player. A lot of coaches that have done well in college can’t in the NFL because of that very reason. Matt Rhule and Urban Meyer just to name a couple
