Lots of times when I go in someone else’s garage, it is a harsh viewing experience because they simply do not organize their cars in the best most aesthetic manner, so today I will be giving you all some tips on how to organize your garages.

I have my cars so meticulously organized by brand, class, and/or theme (BMW/Porsche, Aston/Mercedes, Lambo/Ferrari, Luxury, Sports Classics, Oldies, etc). It always bothers me when I go into someone's garage and it's just complete chaos💀
Like my garages
Right now I'm making "collections": garage with old muscle cars, garage with retro-cars, garage with italian classic sportcars, garage with luxury SUVs, garage with luxury sedans, military garage, garage with bikes, that doesn't fit in MC, garage with japanese sport cars and etc.

Yeah I do the same, super cool. I got Mercedes, Ferrari, lambo, BMW, Audi, Porsche, Old American, New American, Loads of JDM garages, European Classics, Luxury. And then loads of random stuff

I appreciate this, I actually organize mine by car brand but the tip of sorting them out from biggest to smallest longest on one side etc is very helpful tbh 🙏

Right now I’m reorganising my garages by class but also by each update they were released. My first apartment has all the cars that I had which were in GTA Online since day one. And the second apartment I ever bought (since the High Life Update allowed you to) has some of the dlc cars that were released in 2014. It feels pretty nostalgic seeing all these cars organised this way…
Very interesting tips! I usually don’t follow any of these tips(I may start now) especially the age one, I think that’s a bit of a stretch unless you are make a classic collection, but these are tips I’ve never thought of! Thank you for the informative video!
There are probably as many ways to organize cars as there are players in GTA :). This video is quite helpful. Here are my thoughts: 1. I have one two car standalone garage in Paleto Bay, primarily to use as a spawn point. I put a Dune FAV in there because it was free and Paleto Bay is a good spot for a dune buggy. The second slot I keep open if I see a nice car in the area I want to boost but save for later becuase I don't want to drive it all the way to the auto shop. 2. One category to have is "mission cars", i.e. cars that can't be selected during missions, but used if you have them in an accessible garage. Some missions, I'm told, allow you to enter a standalone or apartment garage, at which point any car in that garage becomes "fair game". So put favorite mission cars there and make it close to typical starting points like the auto shop. Admittedly I have not tested this yet, but I have seen a few youtubes showing Kurumas and Toreadors being used in Auto Shop missions that are only supposed to allow Tuners cars to be used. And as everyone knows, Tuners cars are basically rolling aluminum foil that might as well have targets painted on them for NPC's to shoot at. 3. I keep my Auto Shop essentially empty except for the two Tuners aluminum foil cars that I own. Whenever I buy (or "boost") a car that I like, I always send it to the Auto Shop for initial customization since many customizations are free at the Auto Shop. then it gets moved to one of my other locations. 4. If you're a car collector, and using PC, consider using OneNote to help track your cars. Its way too easy to lose track. A table with the car name, style, regular parking location and photo of the car can be amazingly helpful to reduce the mechanic call hunt and him nagging you to "hurry up" :D.

Solid video and tips. I do wanna give my two cents on your first tip though regarding organizing by vehicle category. I just wanted to point out that various cars are like mash ups between two classes. You can have a Sports Sedan, Luxury Coupe, Luxury Sports Sedan, etc. With that being the case, the aggressive tone of the Ocelot Jugular and Lampadati Komoda in comparison to the subtlety and minimalism of the Enus Deity or Lampadati Cinquemila should also be accounted for. I mean this with absolutely no disrespect when I say, the jugular and komoda were sticking out like sore thumbs in your agency garage, lookin out of place, like two bodybuilders at a tea party.
I mainly organize by style like most people i.e. classic muscle, high end exotics, weaponized vehicles all separated and curated. My apartments i RP as if i bought a place for each of my closest irl friends, and i stock their garages with cars I would gift to them based on their tastes as if im a billionaire, so those garages are a bit disjointed but each car represents a different part of someone’s personality.
Honestly most of my garages are color based like having one red/blue/orange/black/gray garage but because I'm a grinder its more sorted by utility to where the vehicles most useful to the grind are positioned to be the first car in the list. My black/red garage for example is the first garage that appears on my list so I have a deluxo, toreador, & nightshark placed in that garage for utility plus the red/black just looks good on those vehicles Similar situation with the buffalo STX in another garage since thats still my go to imani tech vehicle. I'm just glad I finally got caught up with all the vehicles I had tucked away in my arena garage waiting to be customized for ages and more or less got my garages sorted in a somewhat ok manner because moving vehicles from garage to garage and having to drive to specific places just to get certain upgrades was such a pain that took multiple days of doing only that in an invite only session with no distractions to actually pull off, you do not want to be in a scenario of dealing with a backlog of vehicles trying to move them around, you will lose your sanity.
My garages are so disorganized except for my agency that's my anti oppressor vehicles (Imani tech vehicles and high damage vehicles) other than that everything is everywhere. 😅😅
A lot of my garages are organized by manufacturers. Obey, Dinka, Pfister and Dewbauchee have 10 cars in the game, which make them perfect for 10 slot garages. My agency has all the Ocelot cars, and also ALL the Coquettes (since there's only 4) My 60 car garage is also separed by manufacturers. Floor 1 is Pegassi and Truffade, floor 2 is Grotti and Progen, floor 3 is Ubermatch. My cassino garage has all the Enus cars, and I also have other garages separated by manufacturer, but they're incomplete since they're smaller than the ammount of cars of the manufacturers, such as my Benefactor garage, Lampadatti garage and Albany Garage

I sort by DLC occasionally, take the agency for example. I waited until the DLC was all released before putting that all together. I have my agency garage full with agency vehicles, makes it easier for me to know where my imarni tech cars are

love the video. I agree that seeing people just having a mish mash of different cars in the same garage is annoying more than anything else. However I don't follow my own advice here simply because I make character themed cars and I not just talking about Fast and Furious style. I'm comic book nerd and for example 1 garage of mine is all the Symbiotes from Spider-man which is mostly a mix of Sports and Supers, but there's a few muscles in there too. Another is the various Lantern Corp colors from DC again mostly 2 types of cars since supers and sports are so bloated as a class. Lastly is my Movie and T.V. garage filled with cars from movies and T.V. That's not to say my other garages are well organized but enough that it wouldn't annoy too many people.

good tips! i sorta my fastest cars garage by laptime. i like to keep a place in paleto so i could set spawn to "fast travel" there but i know if i fill all other garages i will trade that for a 10 car garage.. nice cars!!
most of my garages are based off a category or theme but I really love the agency's because the beams divide the garage. Made it so that within each "bay" the two cars are meant to go together, very fun to find out what pairs with what!
I also use the beams to kind of separate cars

I think rockstars car class system is based on the stats since a lot of cars in the start of gta online had similar stats before HSW so it was based on pre set classes aka it doesn’t matter if the cars based on a sedan or a corvette it’ll drive similarly
The Khamelion is actually an OG car, just was only accessible to some people on OG consoles, while is is accessible to everyone on the newer ones

I personally get rid of and replace cars so much I don’t organize them however I do use the tactic of keeping big cars in the back and I keep doubles and variants of my cars together

Organize by manufacturer, oldest model first, that way you can see the design signatures evolve over time.
I organize mainly by manufacturer, so my biggest collections are Ferrari, Lamborghini, Mercedes, Porsche. And if there’s not enough cars to do a collection I’ll just start to organize them by class/theme
I use to do that but some cars are hybrids of two cars, so I had to stop.
I normally organize by manafacturer 1st then subdivided by national region 2nd, then if there are a few odd ones out i will go by type of vehicle type eg. Hyper, classics etc. Then i have a special collection based on real life counterparts or icons from the 90s eg. Lotus esprit v8, xj220, f40, diablo.. you catch my drift. A garage based on cars from famous movies, all the weoponized stay away in the facility or arena and moc and lastly a few sentimental cars based on cars me, my parents/family and close friends have owned. Ps. Im trying to find good consistent carmeet groups on xsx but havent been able to find any since being on old gen, any clubs or group recommendations from anyone is apprieciated.
Currently I organize my garages by market, like my Auto-shop is full of JDM tuners and my Agency is going to be European Luxury cars

Even if I put in the time to organize my cars I don't have the fps for that I get stuck in a lot of infinite loading screens so moving stuff is a hassle. 🤷🏿♂️

I use two accounts, 4 characters. I have several properties that are filled with the same vehicles. Del Perro 4 armored, HSW, Imani. PH 10 favorite my 4 Arcades have my heist theme. 4 Facilities with Armored cars. I have 4 Agencies with one car from 19 different manufacturers. One office floor with favorite sports supers and top floor motorcycles. 4 Casino Penthouse garages with different themes, open wheel, offroad trucks Benny wishlist, offroad traveling. 4 Arenas with Arena vehicles, 27 different Hotring Sabre, 27 different Hotring Hellfire and 27 Hotring Everon. 4 50 car properties. All organized by manufacturer with 3 floors for each gang. Each character has a 6 car garages for Nagasaki and rusty cars. 4 Nightclubs with extra and random vehicles. One of them has all the Benny's cars. Each character was a 2 car garage for Schyster, Hijack, Maxwell, and Lifeguard Granger and Blazer. All in all 1092 vehicles in 104 properties.

I organised mine by class and the country or manufacturer if they are in multiple garages, in my agency i have all imani vehicles plus some armoured vehicles then in my clubhouse I have all motorcycles, in the facility I have all heavily armoured vehicles, in the casino I have all hot rods and in the arcade i have special vehicles like vigilante, deluxo, armoured kuruma, oppressor and others that have a special ability or weapons and in one garage I have all bennies vehicles that are low riders

So I have the 50 car garage, what I did was organize each garage by two countries, example: my "garage 1" is Japan/America my "garage 2" is Germany and Sweden My "garage 3" is French and Italian My "garage 4" is off-road/SUV'S my "garage 5" isn't finished but it's gonna be bugatis and Ferraris that's how I keep my cars organized
Most my garages are filled with same brand cars like all grotti cars all pegassi all vapid cars and so on then I have like the all muscle cars all classic cars & all armored car garages except for the agency I have all Imani tech cars in there

There are a ton of hatchbacks so you should be able to build a garage with just those, otherwise just combine them with other cars.

My two minor tips are: 1. Don't buy garages that are too far from each other. If you decide to reorganize, driving back and forth (while waiting for the Mechanic's cooldown to end) across the map can get tiring and time-consuming. 2. Make sure to make at least one garage of cars you actually enjoy driving around in a place you come to often or nearby, e.g. I happen to visit my nightclub a lot, so I keep my offroaders there (as I really dig this class in GTAO) and in my auto shop I have a very narrow selection of favourite cars (plus one free spot for every new car to customize)
I think it’s dumb that we can’t bring cars in to the auto shop just to customize. It’s basically a wasted parking spot imo
