Fox Hunting in Australia. You never know what you might cross paths with in the Aussie bush. This large black snake was only a few metres away from the track. I'm definitely not too keen on them. Was surprised to see one out as it's been wet and cold. Few foxes about. 3 seen and 3 down to the my trustee Sako chambered in 223 topped with the Pulsar Trail2 XP50 LRF. I was running the Icotec Outlaw electronic caller which brought in the 1st feral. Spotted with the Helion 2 Pro handheld monocular. Fox 2 was as dumb as they come. Wandered in from downwind of me and propped nicely when lip squeaked.
Thank you for saving Australian native wildlife 👍👍👍
My pleasure mate. Exactly why we do it. 👌
Sounds like the powers that be in KZhead are living in a sheltered world of denial. Keep up the good work, the majority of us understand and appreciate what you and others are doing. Unfortunately because most of us stay silent and say nothing the vocal minority are usually the only ones heard. Support this and any other feral hunting videos before we lose them all.
Thanks champion. Much appreciate the support buddy.
Love the "G'day!" 😂
Me too mate
Love it as always Rodney nice shooting mate and yes it sucks youtube is making it hard for the hunting family to enjoy what they love
Thanks Matty, we just have to stand together mate. 👌
You're videos have made an impression. My niece married a bloke from Melbourne. I had my back turned when he shouted "G'day" and I almost hit the ground 😂😹🤣👍🍻
🤣🤣 That's gold mate.
great work
❤❤❤
Nice shooting bud as always I enjoy the content keep them coming..!
Much appreciated mate. 👌
Another awesome video.
Thanks Joe 👍
Great video. Thanks.
Thanks mate. 👍
Nice one Rod. 👍
Thanks mate. 👊
3 down , well done ... Great video !!
Thanks Shane. 👊👊
Good to see you back into it mate 👍👍
Thanks Robbo. 👊👊
Thank you for that video Rodney, great shooting.
Thanks Matt. 👌
Great video, good to shooting as well. Look forward seeing perhaps some nice cuddly cats eating lead!!! Oth erwise keep them videos rolling.
It's always a highlight to smack a few feral cats, generally a great way to top off a night out. 👊
Good stuff as always mate
Cheers Tony. 👊
G’day Rod loving the content mate keep up the good work
Appreciate the support Ben. 👊
Thank you Rod, top man
My pleasure mate
Nice 👍👍 shooting mate and I Big fan You
Good evening Rodney, slowly working through your back catalogue of videos. It is a pity that some of the most stupid videos have no problems, but someone doing a service for Australians, Aussie native wildlife and farm stock apparently has life made difficult for them. Anyone culling feral animals humanely is okay in my book, and I am not a shooter or a hunter. I couldn't hit the barn door with a shotgun even if I was standing inside the barn. Keep up the good work Sir.
Thanks Michael, much appreciate the support mate 👊
Great video mate
Cheers mate.
Great shooting 💥💥💥 The long grass is killing me too, I can find them with the thermal monocular but can't pick them up with the NV! I think I'll have to resort to a bait station again to get them where I want them 👍🦊💥
Adapt and overcome mate. That's all we can do for now.
👍🏹
Nice work mate
Thanks buddy 👍
Subbed. Good work mate 👍
Much appreciated champion. 👊
i'm the one to put his foot in every cow pat. wish it were mud instead. great vid. woke early today, 2.30am, to have a cat eye shine in paddock. took off while going for the rifle from the safe. i don't seem to have much luck with calling them back in. i think it's time to set up the trap again.
I think we've all have our fair share of run ins with cow turds. My nemesis is barbed wire. 🤣
G'day Rodney , i just subscribed i came over from jason selmes podcast AHP 251 , love fox shooting with 223 , hate mud and snakes ' i'll have to catch up on your other video's
Thanks champion. Much appreciated 👌
Good shooting! But the Lil'Unit said ur falling behind in the count Big Unit! 😂🤣😂 🐴❤️🤠🇨🇱
Tiger snake looked bloated on frogs , real fatty boom boom
Was actually a red bellied black snake Ian.
@@RJMHuntingAustralia if black snakes about, no need to worry about them brown buggers. He'll say g'day for you. 🤣
It's such a shame that fox hunting is vilified by non-Australians and animal rights people who don't realise that foxes are an introduced and incredibly dangerous animal to our wildlife. I've never gone hunting, but I really wish I could. We need to bring back the fox fur trade!
At a bare minimum, a fox bounty in every state would be a good start mate 👍
@@RJMHuntingAustralia Absolutely agree. A fox bounty and a revival of the fox fur industry. After its collapse in the 80s, fox populations exploded. We need to encourage *more* people to hunt foxes, not discourage it!
💯% mate 👌
GDay, Boom! Rocking Rod just blasted you to the after life. 😆😆
Gets them every time. 🤣
What precautions do you take for snake avoidance? Snake boots, chaps etc?
Generally just a good pair of boots and caution. Sometimes I wear gaiters but not often
Thanks for posting. I subscribed to the Chanel but couldn’t see the bell icon to get notifications. Have YT removed the option.
Not that I know of mate. Thanks for the Subscribe buddy
Managed to find it on a different device. Thanks again. Great posts. Please keep them coming. I shoot foxes 🦊 and deer in Scotland. Always good to see content from around the world.
Cheers champion. Appreciate the support 👊
G'day always seems to work lo
Almost every time. Love it. 😁
Only 3 Keep going mate ya got a whole country to clean up LOL
400+ this year so far. I'm definitely trying buddy. 🤣
@@RJMHuntingAustralia good work mate and they should pay bounties on exotic animals
Really stinks that there is no bounty system in NSW. Both Vic and SA have one. NSW dragging the chain as usual. 🤬🤬
@@RJMHuntingAustralia On a serious note what they need is old people like me to go out and wipe these pests. As an oldie we have no ego to boast about. My slogan is if ya do not know where the bullet will end then do not pull trigger. Just keep up the good work.
That's a very important slogan. I also live by if you're not 1000% sure of ur target identification. DON'T SQUEEZE THE TRIGGER.
Hey mate great footage and thank you. What type of thermal scope are you using ?
Thanks mate. I'm running the Pulsar Trail2 XP50 LRF
@@RJMHuntingAustralia hows it go? With getting one ?
Love mine, discontinued in Australia. They have been replaced with the Pulsar Thermion2 Pro LRF
@@RJMHuntingAustralia thanks for the feedback. What should I do to get one? Should I got 2nd hand or brand new. Want to spend 6k mark. Just for fox hunting and some pigs in open country
You in Oz or overseas?
Was the snake a Red or Blue Belly? The Lil'Unit said the last one he saw was a Black one! He said he found it in a tool box! 😂🤣😂 Big Unit seems ur attracted to black color thing's! That cow just wanted a hug! 😂🤣😂 🐴❤️🤠🇨🇱
The lil unit has a fetish and a problem. I am now haunted by the colour black. 🤣
LMAO
Hello mate what tripod do you use in your vids im from the uk and I can’t find one like yours what make and model is yours and from where did you get it. Thanks in advance, great vids your making. Bob
Hi Bob, I'm using a Bexin carbon fibre tripod with 40mm diameter legs. It's the same as the Innorel RT90C . The Innorel RT80C will more than do the job and is a bit lighter to carry. I got mine direct from China.
@@RJMHuntingAustralia great video thank you. Can I ask which model bexin tripod do you have? Thank you
ST424C
What call sequence are you using?
I don't run a set sequence mate. With foxes it really depends on time of year, what area they are in and what food sources are available to them.
Good shooting Rodney. put your video's down as keeping fit and educational, that'll cover it.
Thanks mate. If only it were that easy. 👍
can i ask what range do you zero your 223 when using a thermal?
Bang on at 50m or 3/4" high at 100m mate
this reduces pressure on stock, native animals, birds and reptiles
Absolutely 👌
Just a quick question. If you hunt various animals , do you also shoot the snakes ?
No mate. The snakes in the state where I live are protected as they are native animals and not introduced pests. It's actually against the law to shoot them.
@@RJMHuntingAustralia oh ok. Thanks for the info mate. I'm just starting off into hunting so I'm a beginner. I'm in nsw. So I'll look into some info on the snakes.
No worries Rod. 👌
@@rob45x They bite, if you annoy them.. O.o
I would love to do some did hunting and north Stradbroke island is full of them feral cats and dogs also feral pigs
Might have to add Stradbroke to my holiday destination list. lol
@@RJMHuntingAustralia just do not shoot in Blue lake national park all the other parts of the island are accessible
I doubt I'll every get there. Would be an amazing place to visit though. 👌
I lived on straddle since 1974 until 2012so know it good
How do you connect the tripod to the gun Rod.
Hi Bob. I'm running Arca Swiss plates on the bottom of my rifles.
Have a farm where I help look after and the grass is passed waist height! Lots of snakes but the grass is hiding everything😂😂😂😂😂
Yeah. Feed levels are crazy high at the moment. Shooting the stubble is my only option. 🤦♂️
It’s a tough one, hoping the long grass gets taken down soon as makes life easier that’s for sure👍
Any boars in your area cuz we got a shit ton down here
Not in my area unfortunately 😪 I'm happy to travel though 🤔
@@RJMHuntingAustralia well feel free to come down to NSW if you want
Send me a pm mate. I'd be pretty keen to get amongst some pigs for sure 👌
@@RJMHuntingAustralia good most of them are near Cessnock or Newcastle, I go hunting with my stepdad Paul with dogs and we did get a few kills, at least 14 every night, and we haven’t seen any foxes but there might be few
@@beefy905 plenty of foxes down here on the outskirts of Sydney but no pigs
Top stuff mate cheers Yogi and come on people sub to the hunting channels they need our support to stick it to the idiots that ban there content Merry Christmas to all cheers Yogi 🇦🇺🤙🤙
Merry Xmas mate. Thanks for the support 👌
Where abouts in Australia is this?
I'd guess NSW along the east side of the divide perhaps within about 200km north or south of Sydney possibly more south. Could be wrong, might be in Victoria, Tassie or even southern Queensland but all on the coast side where the rainfall has been insane in the last few months.
NSW buddy. Outskirts of Sydney
Spot on mate
@@RJMHuntingAustralia did u go out my way..u can tell as I'm on 1000's of acres and go to Tottenham Bourke and rylstone..
Nah mate. Not out that far
Are hunting channels not a considerable percentage of KZhead output? I’m puzzled by this, they’re alienating a big chunk of viewers. My opinion, for what it’s worth like,
It also comes down to advertisers not wanting their businesses associated with hunting related content because they're concerned some nufty may complain.
Hi mate could you send me that email again about tripod as ive hit wrong button and lost it, im a dickhead sorry.bob
Hi Bob, I'm using a Bexin carbon fibre tripod with 40mm diameter legs. It's the same as the Innorel RT90C . The Innorel RT80C will more than do the job and is a bit lighter to carry. I got mine direct from China.
Playing catchup on your videos and on mr hollywood as well. Question? How do you bercome a professional hunter in NSW with the stupid firearms laws they now have in place, I cant even find a hunters licence, plenty of others on their police site, but all for collectors, corporations, and such.. Shouldn't have thrown my licence away back in 1985.
It's a fairly complex and drawn out process mate.
@@RJMHuntingAustralia yes mate, too bloody complicated. Bow and arrows me thinks, for some food, and the odd feral. Actually mate it's easier to make your own explosives here in NSW, than it is to own a firearm. O.o
Shoot a fox, save a bunch of wildlife
Absolutely 👌
