Jill Morton enjoys a highly successful career as piano soloist, chamber musician and teacher. Her performances, including a performance as soloist with the BBC Concert Orchestra on Radio 2 for Friday Night is Music Night, have taken her throughout Britain and across Europe. She is Musical Director of “Encore! Concerts for all, big and small”, a monthly concert series for preschool children and their carers to experience the thrill of live music. Jill has a successful KZhead channel showcasing the repertoire from the ABRSM and Trinity Graded exam syllabuses, and other solo piano works. She has given masterclasses at universities and specialist music schools, and is becoming recognised as a competition adjudicator. She also teaches at the Perse School in Cambridge and is a Principal Tutor on the Piano Teachers' Course UK.

I was wondering what speed this is played at? Because it seems much faster than the Abrsm recommended 100bpm

Hi Jill! I have just finished grade 6 ABRSM and I think I’m capable of doing 8 right now, do you there is any point in doing 7?
Just go for 8!!
U should do 7 because that's what is what I also wanted to do, but the aurals are a huge jump from 6 to 8 👍🏻
I think it is good to do grade 7 and also to do some more repertoire beforehand. You always could pick one grade 8 piece as a challenge piece
