This is Europe. A train ride over more than 700km from one country to another without changing train or borders controls. Love it.
Beauty of EU
@@gauravanand6733 Well I suppose it has to have some benefits to its existence.
That means, Just passport is enough to travel in EU for Europeans?
@@shivaprasad9321 Yeah! 👌🏼
This is why I'm going to move there as soon as I can. Although I'll get solar panels and a battery system, what with the energy security and whatnot! But the EU is how life can be. Fair, reasonable, integrated with a focus on what actually makes people's lives better.
The EuroDuplex, divinely smooth & quiet at high speeds ❤️
Holy truth ! Thanks dear Olivier ! Wishing You chic , fantastic , cozy, blast and celestial evening !
One of a best Trains 👍💯

Lovely video - thank you for posting and sharing. North America lags decades behind Europe in rail development. Everyone here either drives or flies...we desperately need rail infrastructure.
There are some major issues developing high speed rail in The United States. Passenger trains are limited in speed to about 75 MPH. Also, many tracks Amtrak uses are owned by the Class 1 freight lines. They have the right of way Also, the localities charge Amtrak obscene property taxes. I would love to see more high speed rail lines, especially in the more congested areas in the country. Some major changes in regulation are needed.
Besser als Fliegen!
Mark, great to see you back on line with even more quality videos
Once we (me and my family) technically got to ride the TGV Inoui (single deck) for free, because our ICE train(in which we had our seats reserved) to Paris got cancelled, and the TGV went up to 322 kph (my father checked it through an online speedometer).
Awsome trip. Well covered. Nothing like travelling by any of the European trains. Be it DB, rail Italia, TGV, swiz, OBB, railjet. All r wonderful trains with comfort. Needless to mention the excellent landscapes, rivers, bridges and magnificent Stations. Thank u for the video. Great work. Stay safe. Love from India
Shame about the Brexit though .😀
Thank you for another European train journey, speed times noted!
Great ride between two great cities. Cheers.
Wonderful, I did this trip and parts of it Many times while living in Munich. Booked ahead, 1st class is very reasonable and far better than flying esp when combined with lounges at the stations. No queuing and v civilised, unlike air travel. Plus arriving in Paris Gare de Lest alot nicer than Gare du Nord (from UK on Eurostar).
I’m so jealous of European trains. Fast, quiet, affordable transportation with great service and well equipped stations. Compare this to US with loud slow trains that are never on schedule and old crammed stations always full of bums.
Crammed stations full of bums are the rule, not the exception, at least in Germany. My one and only train journey in the US was not too different from what I'm used to here, although train schedules are horrible there for the most part
In Serbien sind die Züge schlimmer ...
@@dukeoflakeshore5805 Da wäre ich nicht drauf gekommen ...
Comparable to the price of a similar train Siemens "Sapsan" in Russia, 700 km between Moscow-St. Petersburg = 30 euros. But our salaries are many times less than European ones. Guys, always compare not with those who live better, but with those who are worse off. It will make your heart feel better😊
Do that same trip early 23 to see improvement between Ulm and Stuttgart and once more early 26 when Stuttgart Hbf is completely underground and drive-through.
Spending my life between France and Germany i love this train, just a little issue in Germany is that there are often issues in big urbanized area with delays and stops in the middle of nowhere for several reasons. But overall it is fine and we are lucky to have these lines !
Sometimes the train stops in the middle of nowhere because of the Red lights!🚦 A traffic right is needed to allow a train enter in a specific Railroad Track. High speed trains reach the maximum speed only in some specific tracks. If the high speed train is not riding an exclusive high speed track, then they are sharing the same track with low speed trains. Traffic ahead, arrangements needed for Railway junctions and railway work are the main causes of a stop in the middle of nowhere 🚄
Nice. I went from Dijon to Munich. We had to change trains in Strasbourg, which will always be my favorite stop. 2 hours was too short. Such a pretty place!
I work as a barista on these trains, I would have liked to see who my colleagues were at the bar, aha can’t recognize them. This tour is physically hardcore. We have 18h of train with a small 5h night in Munich
I try to respect staff’s privacy when taking video, they were a good team on this train!
That must be an at least somewhat interesting life. I don't know if passengers talk to you much, but I hope so, sometimes.
Love watching these train trips. Makes me want to move over there just for the quality travel ;)
Beautiful captured 🌷❤️
As always faultlessly ideal job and very interesting video ! As always my heartfelt thanks ! Have a nice and prosperous evening !
wow these trains look so grandiose thanks for sharing your experience with us😍💗👍
Memories! Did this journey back in November 2017! Lovely trip with a change in Paris from Est to Nord for a train back to UK. The train wasn’t in the InOui colours then though…. Amazing with a bit of planning is how far you can go from the UK by train! Fantastic stress free travel…. Great video Mark and thanks for your superb website!!👍
Thanks for the ride.
Wow this train is gorgeous
the view is just stunning, what an eye candy
Great vid. Love French high speed trains, the best in Europe
Beautiful Europe on a sunny day, like very much.
thanks a lot - opening up a world of possibilities
Excellent presentation,it is hard to believe that you can travel for nearly 6 hours on a high speed train and only pay 39.90 euro! Eat your heart out Britain!
It is amazing, quality snd both contries are simply beautiful
That was another excellent video Mark...!!! :):):)
A great video. It's good to see places I know such as Stuttgart Hbf.
Beautiful Video, Scene Very nice explanation & information Thanks

Very good video. The dawn is very beautiful.
A beautiful station
Wow, what a train ! I still remember steam locos in Munich ! 😲
Great video thanks!!!
Amazing, thanks
Шикарно!
morning haze makes me peaceful.
Great Content 👍🙌
Great video !!
Nice clip thanks
High speed train for only €39.90 is a bargain 👌
to get a low price ticket you have to book about 3 months in advance. Fares are currently increasing. A trip today costs Munich-Paris 169 euros.
can you please to share what is the site to purchase?
beautiful views
great trip, might be useful for me
Beautiful train the weiu too thanyou see around
Gr8 video
I want to go on this train. So cool!
Wow realy awesome tain, great video thanks for sharing, greetings new friend
Ooh nice. I’ll give this one a go as I’ve wanted to try this route 😉
Sucks the US Don't have any nice trains like this only the Acela
Ah yes I used the Acela in Sept :NYC to DC. Nice..
such a well made video
Very nice video. Thanks. We are booked Paris to Strasbourg in late November. I chose first class lower deck in the table for two. I chose lower deck because of our luggage and previous experience on the London to Paris train. I was not expecting such nice vistas on this route as I drove it years ago. Oh well, it will be easier to nap.
I'll be going the opposite direction on 11th of Feb. should be lots of fun
Safe journey joe
man thats a good ride
Wce video. Thank you. I’m taking this train next week on Friday from Paris to Munich on my way to Venice 👍
Is this shorter than via Grenoble
@@dukeoflakeshore5805 good to know. Just looking forward to the journey
Super ce voyage en train….je connais bien cette ligne….merci…..
This makes the British railway system seem like a joke. €39 to travel over 500 miles on a high speed train with a freakin cafe and bar vs £50+ to travel 50 miles from on a slow commuter cattle truck with no WiFi, tables or plug sockets and ironing boards for seats…
Nationalise the system and spend some cash on it. I should be a public service not a "profit" generator for the rentier classes.
Very great.
many years ago , went from paris to Nice a few times on the TGV double deckers .. very nice.. the come back to the UK .... and splutter arond on a pacer !! lol
Thanks for the great ride, but Wow 314kmh,
Anyone else watching these trying to remember what its like travelling
I am, really appreciate things getting back to normal
39.90 euro is a reasonable price, it cost me 70 euro from Munich to Paris by ICE (transfer in Stugartt).
I would dearly love to travel on this train one day.
Love the 103 at 2:14min. 🙂
Such a smooth looking train in Munich though? Like to get a sleeper there maybe to Beer'Sheba!
Good and beautiful
Da möchte ich auch mal mitfahren
Ja, ich auch mit meine katze.
Europe is gorgeous...hope to visit someday. I'm in Canada, it's a nice country but boring.
Boring as hell indeed, can sadly confirm. Or, live in Québec. Citadelle is gorgeous.
Bullshit - Canada is a very exciting country!! The great and empty nature - how great!!
Grass is always greener. I've been to every European country multiple times, and although I'm never bored, I cannot wait to travel the vast wilderness of northern america.
@@dukeoflakeshore5805 I wouldn't call that exciting, and it's certainly interesting, although we're talking about cities. Canadian cities are indeed boring as hell.
@@paname514 When suddenly a big bear faces you - that's not exciting? Even it's most likely the last excitement in your life ;-)
Great video Mark, thanks
I miss train coupes, thankfully my country still have some 👏
😊very interesting nice ride,thanks,stay save.greetz:🍐Peer.
Had to laugh at the comment of the lady in 10:01min, only 1 minute late, that is something different than the DB! 😁
Beautyfull
Cool
TGV 💯😍👍
I like TGV 39€ is Not expensive.
I guess it is because of double decker, so the price /person is almost half of those single deck HSR trains.
muito bom very cool
4:08 I live in Ulm 😀❤
This is a big luck! :-)
Wish we some trains like that in the UK but not possible with low bridges really enjoyed your journey first class nice. The filming was excellent though nice clean windows think again for a enjoyable video with and lovely sunrise .🙂👍
It's also the gauge of the tracks and the electrification issue
@@orangarnold The track gauge is the same. The loading gauge is smaller in the UK.
love these trains (Paris - Barca) !! silly old UK with their 1 tier HS2, shortsighted as usual
Agreed, what is the point of London/Birmingham/Manchester, total length less the 200 miles, HS trains need 500 miles plus to even make sense, and the Price, Excellent value for money. In the UK we can only dream.
@@jackreacher5667 Well, you have to start somewhere, so why don't just start with around 200 miles? And they would have had to build a new railway line anywhere as the current line reached capacity, so why don't just build a HSR line?
@@derriegel5705 Good morning, That's quite true, but Britain is quite a small country and the distances between the the major conurbations not that great. Of course this is just my own opinion but-- 1.Is there a need for it,? most infrastructure projects, canals, railways, bridges etc, were created years ago to help facilitate, connectivity and industry/military needs. 2. How long will this type of rail travel be viable with new forms of tech such as Maglev, and beyond?. 3. The cost would be prohibitive and Money in "Global Britain" is very tight at the moment with Pandemic/Brexit costs, and like most big projects in the UK the costs spiral out of all control. 4.I may be wrong on this but I suspect public money is being used at the moment to finance this project, and then to hand it back to private enterprise is just plain wrong, and prices (which are not cheap in the UK) will be even more expensive. I think the UK could better spend the money it has available on a first class and reliable rail service service , than HS2 which is just a "Vanity Project" Just my thoughts .
$45.00 USD, fair price ....
Yes for over 700km more than fair
Normally you pay 150 €!!
please indicate the date this video was made thanks - Carlos Guillemot....from Buenos Aires
Choo choo! I'm a train and I approve this video and would like to wish you a happy new year choo choo!!
Hello Are the LCD screen shows the reserved seats in 2nd class alors ? Thanks
I traveled on a Rail Pass, did Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, France. Italy was only country where bar/cafe car wasn't open on high speed trains. Any idea when they may reopen?
I enjoyed your video! Gives me idea for my Turkey trip. Stay in Turkey or Italy and take trains to other various countries.
Great views, great journey, maybe stop in Stuttgart though
The only reason any sane person would stop in Stuttgart would be work related. Nothing to see, move on. 😈
@@wjekat very true, very true 😂
Very interest. In near future perhaps depart from Salzburg vor Vienna??
i took in september a train from vienna to salzburg, ~ 300km, travel time was arount 2hours 30-40 minutes (cant remember anymore) and my price was 48€ well - still better than traveling by car, because i slept almost the whole journey
Strasbourg:better building one tower than none tower. And the price 39,90 € for the drive from Munich to Paris is good. And the Quotation is 97,49%,thumb up.Well the price differs a bit from 39,90 € to 79,80 €.
The second tower couldn't be built because the underground is like a swamp, so it will make it all collapse. :)
Cut the time by one hour and it would be a good alternative to flying. Just under 5 hours versus 1.5 hour flight time + all the time through security and getting to and from the airport which let's say doubles the flight time to 3 hours. Especially if you leave early in the morning you could just sleep and still arrive before noon.
The problem is that the journey in Germany is too slow. Once in France it takes 1 hour and a half between the border and Paris (more than half of the journey!)
Good news that this is exactly what is going to happen. This year a new rail line between Stuttgart and Ulm will cut travel times by 30 minutes (when completely finished in 2025) and another new HSR line between Ulm und Augsburg will cut out another 20 minutes (probably around 2030).
Did you enjoy your trip as well?
❤
In Ulm,um Ulm und um Ulm herum.
