    • Agree with you, Poles so far is doing a great job. I am not a Bears fan (Seahawks are my team) but I am excited for what this could mean for Chicago. Folks calling Caleb a bust already are just trolling. Caleb has all the potential, but has usual it will come down to how good the coaching is, how he is developed, how the team is built by the GM, what sort of offense they run, how willing the ownership/management/fan base are with waiting to see him develop (like Josh Allen did), and as always how good the defense is. The feeling of hope and promise in CHI come this August/Sept I am willing to bet is going to be pretty incredible.

  • It's been fun watching Poles grow up in his GM spot. Claypool really let him down, so he comes right back with Allen. Fields ran out of time, he comes back with Caleb. Montgomery wants to go to Detroit, comes back with Swift. No one has seen a trade like the one with Carolina since Dallas wrecked Minnesota. Keep swinging for the fences big boy.

Glad they have more options at center, but still nobody amazing there. Sweat alone probably isn't enough to have the pass rush you need. Keenan only a one year deal, so you may wanna draft a top WR..but at the same time that could be the pick to bolster the OL or DL (and or trade back go do so). So that 9 pick is really interesting.

Ball security is not a risk like Pickett or something. And he's 11 pounds lighter than Mahomes was. Their not identical, but they're definitely not very different. @Sherpkilgore@SherpkilgoreАй бұрын
    • I love Fields and I am a believer in intangibles (like how the locker room loves their leader). But recently I started looking at this in a different light. If I'm the Bears GM I could look at the team as it is and say, "Minus the qb, how many wins should this team get?" Let's say I decide the Bears are at 10 wins (considering serviceable qb play). Now - if I add Justin Fields to the team how many more, or fewer, games do they win? When you look at a CJ Stroud or a Patrick Mahomes, they are worth at least 3 wins, probably more. Baker Mayfield, to me, is even (and I like Baker). Maybe he'll win a game here or there but drop Baker on a 10 win Bears team and he probably gets them 10 wins. I feel somewhat the same about Justin. I believe Justin will actually lose a game or two, but he will probably make up for it and win a game or two so, again, it's a 10 win team. BUT - there is a chance Justin could lose a game or two and not make it up - meaning there is a chance Justin makes your 10 win team a 9 or 8 win team. All of that to say - if the Bears believe that Caleb can, within 2 or 3 years, add 2 or 3 wins to the Bears then they have absolutely no choice: they've got to go get Caleb.

  • Poles is going to trade down for future picks, getting other needs. Williams isn’t the answer here. Got to build the front 4 on offense and defense first, then get any quarterback maybe Bagent can start..that would be the right move..remember they signed lot of one year deals on free agency

  • I cant believe someone would tie their career to caleb williams. Williams is going to get rolled and hes getting fired. Deservedly. Draft a tackle, a d tackle, trade down. Build a solid team and find a solid band aid at qb. Build the franchise. Dont piss away yet another high first rounder on an overrated goob.
