  • Not gonna front. I am a 51 year old man and I cry every single time I see this video. I absolutely love Tom & Nova, their music literally saved my life when while listening I flushed a bottle of pills that was bought solely to take me out of this world permanently. I will forever be grateful and thankful to these 2 absolutely amazing people. #HOG4LIFE

My Dad died less than 2 years after he passed. I cared for my Dad the last year of his life. Cancer destroyed my family. I also lost an Aunt and I have a cousin who has cancer. It is a horrible disease. Thank you for reacting to this song. Tom did a beautiful job with the sad reality, while trying to give hope.❤️

  • My grandma died from cancer. She never told anyone she had it. She never got treatments. We found out she had it a week before she died. She was in her 70's and I think she was ready to leave. She had already lost two daughters and didn't want to live to see another child die. She was a strong woman full of life until cancer came and she slowly faded. This is why I am a Tom fan, he speaks in real life and he speaks things many of us wish we had a platform to speak on. He speaks for us on his. He is a true inspiration.

  • This song always gets me. My fiance is in remission for two different brain cancers. She's had three separate surgeries, chemo and radiation. The Dr's had to leave a small portion of each tumor. One because it's above her right eye and they were afraid of possible damage to that eye. The other because it was wrapped around a blood vessel. They have a cure, there's no money in the cure. Great reaction to a very heart-felt song.

The constant pain he was in, he couldn't eat, couldn't sleep, could barely drink anything. The only thing that makes his passing easier is he's no longer suffering.

  • The cost to treat is astronomical, and the worst thing is some don't receive the treatment they need. Or they don't qualify based on their insurance or lack of. Just shouldn't be this way. I have recently lost one of best friends to cancer..so devastating. She was in remission from breast cancer. They misdiagnosed initially and finally did a simple brain scan after the family begged to do more tests. Found 11 brain tumors and she passed 3 months later. Thoughts and prayers for all those affected by cancer. 🙏❤

They all knew their Daddy died young of a weak heart. In 07 my Mom's baby brother died of cancer at 46. Two yrs. later her big brother followed from another form of cancer at 56. When he said Insurance don't pay it's true. As much as my Uncle had a wonderful job when it came to his Radiation they said no. We the family had a fundraiser to get the 20k for him. This really hit hard sitting here thinking about my Mom being the only child now taking care of her 90 yr. old Mom.... Alone! 😪

  • Tom throws a tear jerker in there every so often, and when he does it hurts because he’s speaking from a place that a lot of us have had to experience. This one hits every reaction channel hard because we’re all common folk that have to deal with the inevitable so I applaud you to try and hold the emotions back even though you failed to, we all did at some point including Tom multiple times. This one was the “ok brace yourself” song when he came out with it, then things kept getting better and better and he dropped “Church” and it cut back to the white meat again. Tom def has a way of breaking us all back down.

  • My grandpa's dead, my dad is an abusive bastard that left long ago, moms dying, granny's got cancer, sissy's a heroin addict with a newborn and I feel I'm destined to follow in their footsteps. I'm a depressed and disabled veteran with PTSD. Most of my family died from addictions. Now suicide is so tempting, because I battle addiction trying to pull myself out this hole I've dug. I don't know how much more bad I can take. React to bmike- anxiety

  • Lost my Mom & best friend to grade 4 glioblastoma (brain cancer) on Dec. 28th 2017. Sad she didn’t meet my baby boy, cause she was so so good with babies, especially my sisters. 10 yrs before my moms cancer, my sister had brain cancer but they got all of hers out with surgery, but we lost my moms mother to the exact same brain cancer as my moms that yr, & 2 months later my moms dad to the same brain cancer. Fuck cancer...praying for all u warriors out there fighting the worst disease known to mankind. This song hits deep for me. God bless y’all

  • Great reaction!! I agree with you 100%. It's making money and to cure it would hit the medical system pockets. Everything is about money! Follow the money and you find nothing but Greed destroying lives.

  • Cancer has taken SO many people from me. My father died from it many years ago, 2, maybe 3 uncles, my sister has a type of tumor in her head called an acoustic neuroma, her best friend has survived a couple different types of cancer, and is currently taking treatments for bone cancer in her lower spine and hip joints. The worst is that I lost my fiance to cervical cancer almost two years ago. F!@K CANCER!

  • I lost my father to cancer Dec. 27, 2017. So, I have done some reading on this issue. As I understand it, and I am not a professional in the medical nor scientific industry, the problem with curing cancer is two fold. 1) Cancer does not have a singular cause, but is the result of any of a number of different forces at work. Just like a broken arm can be caused by lots of different things, a cell can become cancerous for many different and separate reasons. It is hard to develop a preventative if there are 10,000 things to prevent. 2) Every occurrence of a cancer is unique to the DNA of the person that has it. Cancer isn't an infectious disease; it is not a virus, bacteria, or other organism that invades the body. Cancer is more of a corruption of the DNA. Because each person's DNA is unique, each occurrence of cancer is based in that person's unique DNA. When my father was dying of cancer, there was an experimental approach being developed in Europe (Switzerland, I think) which used the individual's own t-cells to attempt to create a corrective treatment. However, consider the amount of money and effort that goes into developing just one medical treatment against a single infectious disease. Now consider the amount of time and effort it would take to develop a treatment for cancer to every single individual DNA/person world wide. So far, it just simply isn't feasible.

    • This is true. They ARE making huge strides in treatments. I'm living proof. Diagnosed Jan 2019, Stage 4 lung/liver. Mine was inoperable and no radiation on my liver, so I did chemo along with immunotherapy (great new weapon). I'm still on immunotherapy and have had clear scans since June 2019. Also, the maker of my immunotherapy drug covers my co-pay for the drug. Just takes one treatment and my out-of-pocket maximum is covered for the year so insurance pays 100% of everything and the drug mfg pays everything else.
