  • When you said, "There hasn't been any advancements in 60 years" That is exactly what Tom was saying. $90 billion in donations and no advancements in medicines or a cure? It's no longer health care. It's a money making scheme. Every patient cured is a customer lost. Glad you're both are doing good! Keep fighting!

    @xdaniedx@xdaniedx2 жыл бұрын
    • Maybe I'm a fool but I truly believe there is a cure. This is a 5 billion dollar industry, they'll never admit there is cure unless they are forced to release it.

    • @@rogerledoux4741 There DEFINITELY is a cure Roger! They just don't want to give it to us because like you said it's a multi-billion dollar industry. Curing cancer or giving us better ways to fight it is taking money out of their pockets. Tom said in his song brainwashed "Big Pharma doesn't cure you, 'Cause every patient that gets cured is a customer lost" And that's true for doctors and the pharmacy industry. They keep us sick so we keep buying their "cures" and they make billions off of us.

  • I completely lose it every time I listen to this song. I lost my mom to cancer a few years ago and recently my wife was diagnosed with leukemia. I am terrified for our children. The other day my wife was recording messages to our children for events in the future, in case the worst happens. You both gave me a little hope thank you. Stay strong and continue to give others strength. 💖

  • A song like this hit on soo many levels, My best friend found out she had cancer when she was 16. She did everything that she could do, It went south very fast but after a year she was on her best. I remember I got a call at 2 Am that she was rushed to the hospital after her body was shutting down. Stayed with her the last 30 minutes of her life. Seeing the sparkle in her eyes fading away. Today was supposed to be her 18th birthday, 2003-2021

    • This hits me because of grandpa. I learned more from him then I admitted. I always cry in private but our final chat…when he knew he had like 5 weeks left…I broke down. I hated seeing how weak he’d became. He was always so strong to me. I saw the fear in his eyes during our talk. I saw the photos from the nursing home my aunt was forced to send him to. I’m glad I found out late or I’d be there piling up bodies for the hospital. I wasn’t cool with my family hurting like they hurt him.

Istill break down and the anxiety that is in my brain everytime I have to have an xray or scan to see if it came back I only had one chem treatment--it almost killed me--was hospitalized for one week that day--I dont remember the 1st three day in the hospital. My oncologist said he didn't think I was going to make it home alive. It IS a fight--the last few lines--you don't know to be brave til you choose to fight when your afraid. I cry everytime I watch this video. So, between US FIGHTERS---------keep up the fight--even in remission--it is a fight.

  • Thank you for your reaction. In the midst of covid my mom was diagnosed with stage 2b breast cancer. That was in June 2020. 2 weeks later my dad passed away unexpectedly. So I ended up having to step up into that position of being the pillar or rock for the family. My sister was a total daddy's little girl so his death hit her hard. So while trying to come to grips with moms cancer diagnosis and his passing, I ended up having to take mom to doctors and I learned a LOT more than I ever thought I would. I was that support person, I've been out in my shop just sitting there because I didn't want to show any weakness in front of my mom or my sister who were now looking towards me for that strength (I guess is the closest word I can think of). It's been a long year and a half but the happy news is after two rounds of chemo, one round of radiation, and a lumpectomy my mom got to ring that bell and is cancer free as of right now.

The docs said that she had a very low chance of survival and even less chance of walking. She not only survived but only has the surgery scar but no other damage and now we have 2 boys. • @@Sannoz America definitely needs to update our healthcare, but much of what we spend is used for making medical advancements. Of course not for things like cancer since that would lose them too much money, but for other diseases. I'm pretty sure we create the most new treatments out of anybody in the world. However, there should definitely be a middle ground because it does cost way too much. Perhaps if the manufacturers of medications had to disclose how much it costs them to produce their medicines, then we wouldn't allow them to rip us off so bad.

The song rings true in that we are partially responsible for giving ourselves cancer with all the nasty byproducts of a "modern society", plus relentless stress and sitting indoors all the time.

  • Survived childhood leukemia, and when I heard this song, thankfully I was working alone on nightshift, I broke down and had to take a breather. After 21 years of being cancer free it is still the one thing I can go back to and find the strength to go through whatever I am dealing with in the moment. I SURVIVED CANCER, and that strength and self determination makes me stronger everyday. I messaged Tom about this song and went into depth in my message. If he could only see more reactions like this, he would see just how much we love his music, and care about his own health. Congratulations Karen, and much love and support being sent your way Jamee! You got this!!

  • Been there, done that. Just over 11 years in remission fighting a severe form of Leukemia. Of the 40 of us on the Cancer ward 2 of us are still alive. I still break down sometimes like you Karen. I believe it is due to the fact that I bottled all my fear up trying to be strong for my wife and family. Even with excellent health care it was brutal. Both you young ladies stand strong. You are not an island to yourself and accepting help from family and friends is not a sign of weakness, it is accepting help from those that love you and want to take some of the burden from your shoulders. Hang tough... it does get easier.... but you will never forget. I hope you get to remission Jamee. This song breaks me every time I hear it. Let me say this, Cancer treatment was more terrifying then the Combat tours I faced. It is hard to fight an enemy you cannot see!

I lost the love of my life to cancer some years back, she had throat cancer that spread rapidly throughout her body, doctors refused to provide treatment for her due to our financial status so all I was able to do was work 2 jobs and pay for hospice until she left this world. It is always a blessing to see survivors of cancer.

  • This song hits home for me, I lost my father to mesothelioma (cancer from asbestos) & he was already in stage 4. For those who aren't familiar with mesothelioma, it starts in 1 lung then travels to the brain before continuing to the other lung & he had to have radiation for the tumors in his brain in order to reduce the swelling but the doctor's said that he couldn't have Chemo because his body wouldn't be able to handle it. Last year my mother was diagnosed with a hereditary type of breast cancer so they removed the mass & is now cancer free, I have so much respect for all of the cancer survivors out there...much love.

    • @@jameejams2229 You're welcome & thank you. You're right, cancer is an awful disease & takes a toll on everyone, whether it's the family or the patient themselves. I feel that anyone that is going through treatments for cancer are the strongest people out there especially survivors that (by the grace of God) beat the disease. Watching my father's health decline due to this disease was extremely hard but I knew I had to stay strong for my family, although there were times I found it extremely difficult & I would find myself breaking down but I never showed it. I commend every single survivor of this disease for staying strong & beating the odds.

  • Found your reaction recommended in my feed. I lost my dad to multiple myeloma cancer June 19th, right before Father's day. Its almost been a year. His 79th birthday is on Tuesday. I'm dreading all 3 days, it's been a hard year for my family, but we're all coping well. We lost multiple people. I wish I had shown him this song before he passed and I hate that I waited too long. One thing I'm glad I thought of to do was give him his father's day cards, 3 of them (one I found that I knew my girls and him would relate to as a simple thing he always did with them when they were kids, one funny one and the last was a sentimental card that I wrote a note to him thanking him for adopting and raising me (he married my maternal grandmother)) and small, simple gift of old vintage replica toy cars, which he loved. He loved older autos and had worked for GM for over 30 yrs. I'm glad to hear your friend survived cancer, my maternal grandmother's mom had the same when I was a kid and beat it. I don't know which you're battling but I hope you beat it. Cancer sucks, know a few battling it and also lost an old friend to colorectal cancer right before Christmas 2016. I'll check more of you videos here soon and subscribe. I'm glad she agreed to do a react with you and that I found this when I did. 🤗❤️ **Edited for auto correct typos.**

  • I finished my battle with Stage 3B Colon Cancer in November. So far my scan show I am cancer free and my tumor markers are good. I did an infusion / pill combo that the doctor recommended and I only had to do 8 treatments vs 12. The meds were still rough even from infusion 5 through 8 and I am not sure I would have been able to finish if I had to go 12 treatments. You are SO right it affects the people around us more because they can’t do anything except support you. My biggest struggle through it all was not to show how bad it really was so my loved ones did not suffer with that part even more. Keep up the fight it will get better and congrats to your friend. Thank you both for sharing your stories.
