  • Carlos is 2nd to Roger in hand eye coordination. It seems wherever the ball is, Carlos can produce a winner. Incredible to witness 🎉🎉🎉

    • The whole premise of the sport is hand eye coordination. That makes no sense

    • @@wave1468 I'll explain. Some have it to ridiculous heights, while others don't have much. Roger was magical and Carlos also possesses a tantalizing amount.

  • He's winning rg this year that's for sure. He won us open in 2022, wimbledon 2023, so by that logic he's going backwards so rg this year and australian open next year.

  • interesting that Carlos' average FH speed in a match is around 70-78 mph ... that's because he puts enough height to clear the net on a normal rally BUT when he wants to produce a winner, he flattens it a bit, and hits it around 100 mph

  • Alcaraz forehand has everything the big spapish top spin whip action to produce crazy spin, the crazy and unpredictable angles, the running winners and passing shots, crazy speed like monfils/Kyrgios, the touch for volleys and drop shots, the wrist flexibility, strength and precision to hit winners in the worst positions, like half volleys, completely extended and running, or moving backwards. Maybe the only thing he's lacking is the ability to produce very efficient shots with effortless spin/power, less physical strain and fatigue. Could be hard to maintain that level of physical effort throughout his carreer. Could be smart to start enriching/widening his strategy and use different paces/levels of spin. Seems like he's giving everything on every shot which is not always the most efficient strategy, although modern tennis at the top level is more and more like that. This is not particular to his forehand, also how he moves on the court, but its the shot that he's constantly pushing to the limits

  • I always feel he is holding back, setting up the points, when he is not hitting those screamers. That last point was especially ridiculous, I can't recall even Federer hitting such shots, or even covering so much court in rallies
