    @rome8180@rome81802 жыл бұрын
    • Or maybe there were a few that escaped during the experiment time. Or maybe someone went in secret to give the rabbits a home before the humans left and a day before the other rabbits were euthanized.

    • Maybe 2 of them escaped to the rest of the island safely out of main retraction grounds, Rabbits have no bad inbreeding effects and they have about 6 babies per baby existing sessions, So this might be true.

    • I'm a wild life veterinarian and lived on those islands (well worked on those islands, with other vets to sterilize cats and rabbits) and those islands are the saddest places i have worked on. No animal lovers would call that a great place, Cats and rabbits die by the hundreds every year, because they are fed crap, they are often abused, the habitants of the island couldn't care less about their well being. Our teams of vets were physically attacked by the islanders because if we sterilize the cats then tourists will stop coming, and they even remove and kill and then burn the sick animals to avoid bad publicity. It is hell for cats and rabbits and we have been demanding the japanese government to stop this but Japan is not at all animal friendly and animals have no rights whatsoever there. Do not promote these islands and do not ever go there. Now more and more people are boycotting those island and you see protestors inciting visitors not to get on the fairy to these islands and showing what truly is happening there. We must absolutely end this, every single cat and must be sterilized and this must end in one more generation of animals. If islanders want money they should work or create an actual heaven for animals where they are properly cared for, not used and abused.

  • The eye lake could even get its shape and movement from wind. Something floating like that, regardless of its size, has minimum friction with anything stationary. Ultimately allowing every bush or blade of grass a wind sail. That's so neat. Definitely a place I'd like to visit.

In the long run the US dealt with the Dome the same way they took care of all the service men stationed there by totally ignoring it and the servicemen who worked there and with in years started suffering from many forms of Cancer of the 3000 men who served there less than 250 are still living most of the others dealing with long drawn out painful deaths with the VA and the US Government denying any medical treatment to these vets.

  • Whilst I don't speak Faeroese myself, as a Swedish speaker, I speculate Lítla Dímun probably might translate to "Small Fog-Island" (it sounds similar enough to something like "Lilla Dimön" in Swedish which would have that meaning) Also, speaking of atoll formation, saying the volcanic islands simply sank is a gross exaggeration. Most are a result of erosion, as a volcano goes extinct, then wind and waves will simply wear down the rock over time until little is left other than the pieces under the water which are kept stable and relatively safe from wave erosion thanks to the coral reefs protecting the rock underneath. In fact if you follow the Hawaiian-Emperor Seamount chain you can see all the stages of the lifecycle of volcanic isles

    • You are right about the name and its neighbour is called Stóra Dímun (big foggy island). The names come from old nors and not Faroese as such. The first people to inhabit the Faroe Islands were Irish munks in the 800's and then norweegen fleeing from Norway to Iceland (some of their boats were damaged a sea and when they had done the repairs and resuplied, so people decited to stay behind). That is all that I can remember from history class in 5th - 6th grade 🤔 The Faroe Islands didn't become part of the kingdome of denmark umtil the 1600's, when they were given as part of a norweegen princesse's dovery, together with I eland and Greenland. We were part of Norway until then. 😤

All of those islands in the video were natural. Except the one where all owners died.. but that may be caused by some gases released from the underground of it.
