Send some silicone spray lube down the barrel of tank, it will increase the performance of the gun. It is a mod. See you on the Battle field.
How much?
Always wanted a tank, but they are just so expensive, especially the metal versions, and I recon, for me at least, the novalty would wear off pretty quick. Cool to see them though.

You can use one with metal gearbox and metal tracks... The rest can be plastik. I have one except the metal tracks and it was 168€ with Batterie transmitter smoke BB ect. But only a panzer 3
I've found that when something is paired with another hobby it becomes a recurring thing to do see I want to set up a fpv with the king tiger and take it to an airsoft field because I already play airsoft so I think it would be funny to be shot by an rc tank mid match
Most of the people I know who are into these tanks were prior military tank crews who show them in there dens or man caves as conversation pieces. When my boys were little I bought a few for them to play with and they loved them and they learned a lot about electronics and mech.
Heng longs are literally a fully functional model you can paint and customize however you want they are so great

That's a sweet looking tank.I have 2 of the Sherman tanks,the early version I did upgrade both with metal gear box's and metal tracks.It was fun having my grandson build the tracks and he helped to change out the gear box's.But he s not allowed to load and shoot the white balls simply because we have lots of wildlife I don't want them to think its food and they eat them and die.But still have our battles playing hide and seek when we are in the house.All bets are off then he shows no mercy when we are hunting each other.His laughter makes it all worth it.

If your tank's are of the later versions, like this one, then you should be able to fit an infrared battle system into your tanks. That way you would be able to do actual tank battle's without needing to use the BB gun. Each system will allow your tank to take around five "hits" before it is put out of action. Then it'll just a case of resetting the tanks and going again.

You can get biodegradable 6mm bbs at most places that sell airsoft gear. Not harmful to wildlife.

You’ll shoot your eye out kid, lol. Have three tanks myself. 2 Taigen(Tiger 1 metal & M26 Pershing), and much older Tamiya M4 Sherman. Just replaced/upgraded the gear boxes in Tiger to steel gear set(original zincs failed).
They are great fun

What upgrades are available?
I just purchased the best version offered of this Heng Long 1/16 King Tiger with the complete metal drive system which includes metal road wheels as well as all the metal parts on the version in this video. My King Tiger tank also has the FPV camera system installed in it as well as a metal main gun barrel with barrel recoil to it when firing. It is one heck of a tank and you are correct, the sound system in this tank is unbelievable' "just like the real thing"! I believe the value of this tank's RC system & its outside viewable appearance is well worth the price! You do a very nice job with your presentation on your videos. Nice work my friend , ive been a RC enthusiast for many years mainly RC cars . However i was considering branching out , ive been intrigued by both great wars so perhaps getting into Tanks would be a interesting addition to the hobby.

Love henglong tanks best bang for buck and mods and upgrades are so easy to fit. All ways wanted an rc tank and luckily heng long is here hahah I've got two of the tiger 1s one being 6.0 and 7.0 and the panther and love them full bottom metal parts

Got mine yesterday, the holders for the track on the turret are pretty loose any glue recommendations?
Just normal plastic model glue or regular superglue
16:23 the BB module in mine is pretty weak too. CAn shoot myself at point blank and it won't even hurt. Seems Heng Long has massively improved since I bought that thing...might just pick up a KV-1 Airsoft sometime soon!
I have noticed it gets weak when the battery gets drained

Got an airsoft ZTZ-99 myself. Wasn't my choice of tank...woulda gotten a KV-1, KV-2, or T-34/85 instead...but it's not a bad rig. I HATE how they have the controls set up though; IMO the hull should be on the right stick and the turret should be on the left stick. One of these days I will rewire mine to do this and drive it off my Futaba 10J. Still a fun RC and challenging to hit things with the cannon!

These are such great value over the Tamiya and you can always repaint and detail up to a Tamiya standard, and still way cheaper HL seem to have got the speed controller on par with the Tamiya with being able to crawl realistically . This was somethings HL didn't have in early versions as it was too quick off the mark.

I've got quite a few Tamiya RC tanks I've built myself over the last 20 odd years I've never been a big fan of tamiyas sound systems that all have that typical tamiya electronic sound on tick over even to this day which really let's them down. It says something when Heng Long like this king tiger have the sound bang on totally superior to my own tamiya King tiger & more like a decent aftermarket sound system you can retro fit. Might get one of these new Heng Longs myself with the 7.0 sound board.

i owe a the king tiger 6.o, tiger 1 6.0 and a british challenger 2 6.0... heng long makes nice tanks, but i have had problems with cheap wires being used... the last one i bought was a a teigen tiger1.. it is now my favorite.... if you like heng long rc tanks ... you will love teigen rc tanks... one thing all rc tankers will tell you ... no matter how good it looks out of the box... it is never really done.. i do love the rc tanks

I've long thought about getting the Abrahams tank from henglong but like all the tanks, they're 1/16 scale, if only they had made them 1/12 how cool they would be with the hg 602 and 801 803....wow! Still good tanks mind and excellent value for the money 👍👍😀
Hooben makes 1/10 scale i bought their tiger 1 its was garbage for being a big tank. I'd wait til henglong tries their hand at 1/10 its gonna be awesome. And they've been out longer than hooben. So be patient. Good things come to those that wait.

Definitely have, especially the sound on this one. I sold the Tamiya ones but I would like to get more in the future.

I'm watching from Japan. HengLong 1/16 tank is also popular in Japan. I have a Leopard 2A6 and a King Tiger. I personally like German tanks because they are powerful.

The drive wheels and idler are metal. The road wheels are plastic. They will not wear.

I would like to use something like this for hunting. You can put a GoPro on it that shows up on a screen somewhere and when the deer or whatever walks out in front you can shoot it. I wonder what the highest caliber weapon is you can put on something like this or that has been put on anything like this. I would normally not ask about something like this but I'm trying to set it up for a friend of mine that's handicapped?

The airsoft BB guns in these tanks are powerful enough that I would not want to take a shot to the eye with one. Also, if you have visions of buying two of these tanks and having "tank battles" with the BB guns, don't do it. The guns are absolutely powerful enough to blast the little bits and bob accessories right off the tank never to be found again.

If you're concerned getting hit in the eye wear safety glasses! Live a little man, don't be so scared of something that might never happen. You get get crashed and killed everytime you drive. Does that prevent you from driving? Same thing. Peace and love ✌️

14:09 oh shit apparently someone at Heng Long agreed with me and redid the control map! My ZTZ99 is not a V7 like yours is. Came with a 2.4ghz radio, but a NiCD battery and the brainbox in there is a bare PCB. Steering is on the left stick, turret slew on the right, why i do not know.

So much potential........The latest 7.0 is supposed to be a peach.. Big difference between Heng long and Taigen is that torsion bar suspension, it's much more robust, realistic...and expensive. That commander is hysterical.

The 7.0 is terrible. Your WWII tank can sound like a turbine engine in an M1 Abrams or a turbo diesel from some other modern tank.

There are slip rings for that , pretty cheap and effective
It was renowned for its speed and armour, but in the cold they suffered in Russia as they had to fired up around every one to two hours with plumes of white smoke so they were found easier, I think the British Churchill was better and the US's Sherman was fast and very agile but was lightly armoured so no match for the Tiger it was its downfall I can't remember if the Yanks built a big tank probably did.

Very nice. I have the metal upgraded Tiger 1, but my metal tracks are painted black and look much more authentic than yours. Annoyingly I have to take the top deck off to get to the battery and the connections are nowhere near as tidy or secure as on this. I've done some upgrades, new motherboard as well, but it would have been easier if mine was as tidy and efficient as yours. Get it all weathered and it'll look great. Greeting from the UK. ( Cornwall, NOT England!)

These BBs are not as strong as these from BB handguns. 3-3,5 meters through a paper and after that same as throwing them by hand. Stock plastic ones.

People who buy these RC tanks should not give them to children yes they could get hurt I have one and they do shoot a BB and it comes out fast and packs a punch they could put their eyes out so it is really just for adults who operate them responsibly.

Love the tank but making the ‘premium’ version with metal tracks/wheels and then NOT painting said metal tracks and wheels? Total fail. What were they thinking!?
Most people would just repaint and weather the tank anyways. Most colors look too toyish or inaccurate.
