  • The fact that Ashley Marina got over 15 million views tells us that Simon Cowell succeeded in what he wanted to do for Ashley Marina. She is a 12-year old with a good voice. Simon got her to show not only that she has a good voice but her musicality and passion, as well as courage and ability to learn. These are all signs of a great musician and singer.     • Idk what in the world you’re talking about. If he was a suppressive then he would’ve stopped her and not let her come back. Simon has a proven track record when it comes to recognizing talent and allowing singers to redo their song choices only to come back and crush them.     • I've coached high school girls and boys for over 25 years. The most difficult part of the job is getting the girls to believe in themselves. They get down on themselves in a heartbeat. The fact that Ashley did not fold shows her strength and that she DOES believe in herself. So proud of her and her ability to deal with constructive criticism. She has inner strength.

    • I didn’t think she was mad about the song but I didn’t think she was trying not to cry either. There’s obviously something behind them, cause you can tell when a mother is proud of a daughter (and she should always be!). She may hide tears and excitement but you can see pride in her eyes. I saw nothing but coldness in her eyes.
