    • The American idol guy? I feel that is not awkwardness, it was a lot of anger and a brazen attitude. First Simon just asked, what brings you here, and out came the rude answer for no reason at all.

    • Isnt it crazy how in todas world being honest is considered rude? Simon once said it well, the REAL jerks are those parents who lie to their kids when they have absolutly no talent at all! I get it, you want to support your children, but letting them ebarass themself on tv is just plain cruel

      @pinkypie8322@pinkypie832211 ай бұрын
    • @@pinkypie8322 it depends. if you come to an audition when you know you know you're going to be judged and probably get some positive feedbacks, that's alright. along with asking others their opinion about something. getting upset over them not liking that thing is quite pointless, since you did ask their opinion. however, when it comes to people coming to you and 'being honest' by sharing an opinion, without you asking them, is indeed quite rude. I do hate when people do that.

  • i actually loved the interaction between Curtis and Simon. he’s 16 still learning who he is as a person and had more growing up to do. i don’t think his intentions were to be rude he just was trying to carry himself with a confidence that came across poorly at first. but you could see it in his eyes when the judges told him they genuinely liked him and thought he was talented that the light switch flipped a bit and he really listened and ended up getting his shot. hopefully that audition humbled him and changed his attitude a bit

    • Sometimes he's being too mean, but people have to understand being straight and truthful, sometimes in a rude way because the truth is rude, to candidates who don't have the qualities to make a carreer is actually being nice to them. If you think you have something that you don't have, it's better to be judged by someone who will deliver the truth harshly than someone who will say you're great but no. It hurts more in the moment, but at least the judge gives you a chance to reconsider your life and stop losing time pursuing something that won't happen for 20 years

Its a shame because the acts were very good - We all need to resist the impulse to retaliate by taking the time to calm down, modeling respectful behaviour, setting clear boundaries, and, occasionally, explaining what we're doing - and that applies to us all including me. Simon showed respect and leadership. Simon, Thank you for calling it out.
