Maybe I dint really pay enough attention in the initial chapters, but by the end of the game I wasn't sure if the text/player character was supposed to be Kenzie or Michael. I actually leaned more towards kenzie being the protagonist, although simultaneously also thought that maybe the ambiguity was intentional (which you kind of touch on near the end). Anyway, I thought the game was pretty interesting and I'm glad someone finally did a good deep dive on it, thank you for this video!
I was under the impression we were seeing Kenzie’s pov too. Once I started working on the script it and analyzing the imagery it seemed made more sense with Michael. It’s definitely ambiguous. And thanks for the comment :)

I like the way these games do text, having them appear in the world itself (as opposed to being in a text box underneath) keeps the player in the space. great vid nero, this one's probably not gonna "make numbers" but it shouldn't matter.
