Can someone explain why Joshua isn't part of the 5v5 on june 1st? By the time june comes aj would have last fought 3 months ago thats more than enough time to have gotten prepared. Joshua is the best heavyweight match room has yet they went for Wilder who wasnt previously part of match room and who has looked terrible lately. Its like Eddie is trying to sabotage his own brand. Not being a hater or anything just genuinely want to know. I thought Aj was getting back to being active again now he is fighting every 6 months?
Ethandavock I’m not sure but if I was going to hazard a guess I’d say it’s because it’s the undercard to Bivol v Beterbiev and he’s probably said no to being a support rather than the headline but can be wrong
As someone already said , AJ is a main event and brings in cash , so if he ain't headlining June 1st , he might as well headline August/September seperate .

Best advice to AJ is to fight thrice yearly to improve form for a possible Usyk trilogy or Fury face-off Being slightly dormant in boxing is disadvantageous to AJ because the intensity of the sport is changing rapidly and he needs to adapt better than Usyk to claim the top spot in the division.

@@simonmountford6566 true, but the backstory is too big and fans are fickle. All it takes is a knockout and everyone will be calling for that fight. Parker fight with Zhang wasn't exactly electrifying, nor was the Wilder one but that had more of a sense of jeopardy so it held your attention. As excellent as these wins were for him, Parker is in a strange situation. Maybe the Hrgovic Dubois winner is what he deserves.
