  • You need to cut some of the calories here. Throw a piece of that bread in the trash.

    • @@whereismyknife1 Mixing simple carbohydrates with fat and protein is the worse thing I can do nutritionally. The body will process the sugars, then carbohydrates, then protein, then oils, then fats. The toast turns my English Breakfast into a triglyceride bomb, spikes my glucose level, and depletes the B vitamins in my body. The cereals in the bangers and pudding are less of a problem if they are whole grain, but combined with the pork and eggs, raise the omega 6 to unhealthy levels until omega 3 is provided to process it. The English Breakfast is a big hit at my house. It is easy to make, presents well, the flavors complement each other very well, and there is something on the platter for most everbody, though none of us eat everything on it. My wife gets the toast. I enjoy watching others make it, and their own take on how they do it. My wife likes cabbage and onions with the sausage too, so I do that up as well. To make up the deficit in omega 3, I'll have salmon portions or sardines at dinner, while she prefers tuna, bread and butter pickles, mayonnaise and fresh ground flax seeds.
