Hello everybody!🖐 @TheRestorer is with you again.🔥😎
In this video I will show you the restoration of an extremely beautiful and antique iron. This hand iron is very rare and is made of brass, steel, cast iron and wood. Its entire surface is covered with corrosion, oxide and rust. This rare thing lay for many years without proper care. The iron was found among various junk and scrap metal in the attic of an old house in which the roof was being repaired. This information was told to me by its owner, who sold me the iron. After seeing this rare find, I immediately knew that I could restore it and share this work with you. Therefore, I did not hesitate for a long time and bought it. The complete restoration took me a lot of time and effort. But my efforts were 100% justified. The result of the restoration exceeded my expectations. I didn't think I could restore this antique rusted iron, which must be over 100 years old, to such perfect condition. To be honest, I really liked the end result😊.
Did you like it? Did you expect to see such a transformation Before And After? Also, if anyone knows more information about this antique iron, year of manufacture or origin, then write in the comments. I will be very interested to read and learn more.
I hope you liked the result✨ of the restoration.🙂

10!!!
Definitely a 10, was hoping to see a demo of how you use it, got a load of shirts need ironing, can I drop over with them 😅😂😊
After you restore them do you sell them?
I can just imagine how happy and proud the first person was to own this iron. 😊
In ancient times, it was equated to a IPHONE15 )))
I'm sure they were overjoyed to have another tool to allow them to do more housework.
I love that you re-textured every part by sanding it down. Most restoration people just take the rust off then go straight for the re-paint. You ACTUALLY restored it. Nice work. Love to see it.
Its easy to restore when you start with a clean item and then bake fake rust onto Brass...brass does not rust..this guy is a liar.
@@danbusojarnis8262brass forms a patina if left exposed to the wrong chemicals or environment. It is a green rust like appearance on the surface and it is extremely hard to polish out. I have had quite a few brass items in my lifetime and polishing is not my favorite hobby. I also use a safe liquid designed for ammunition reloaders to clean brass cartridges. Pour some of the liquid into a glass bowl and let the brass soak in it for about an hour, keeping watch in case it should start attacking the copper in cheap brass items especially those from India and the orient where the mixture in the metal has impurities. Rinse completely and then proceed with polishing. Iron rust on brass? Don’t know how that would come to be unless soaked in salt water with iron filings for a while, removed to air dry and then repeat the process. Might cause surface rust but I’ve never tried it.
no he did not restore an antique. he destroys one
@@Subgunman green is in brass with lot of copper inside. if copper is litle, brass dont get green
Bunch of haters
I appreciate all of the great camera angles that you used so we could really see all the intricate work that you did on this amazing piece. Stunning repair work - so intricate and well-thought out. 👍👍👍👍
Thank you, glad you liked my work!👍😉
Just the time alone to set up each shot in detail makes it a fine video. Reminds me of a video class from fifty plus years ago. Having to work with plastiline figures. Pose them, shoot a few frames of film, repose film, repeat until you get your final results. A form of animation from the fifties and sixties. Camera angles were critical so viewers could have a perfect finished product.
@@TheRestorerYoure videos are the best ❤️👊🌟
You should have shown how to use the iron after restoration. Does it work properly?
Yes it does, all he needs is to heat the bloc of iron on some ember than put it inside the fer and done
It's just an iron!
It’s an iron how would it not work properly lmfao
@@silvermoon57 I meant how to calculate the correct temperature of the indoor unit so that this iron does not burn through the fabric and does not stick to it.
I don’t know why this so relaxing
Thanks!😉👍
Thank you!👍😉
It’s beautiful. Love the design of the iron, so simple yet so elegantly effective
Thanks!👍 Where are you watching from?🌍😉
I confess that I found the prismatic rust coloring to be quite beautiful
All that "rust" and no pitting. Amazing
Yes and it’s funny how often all these badly rusted items suddenly appear from nowhere!! There must be a barn full of them somewhere! 😜
I restored a brass iron identicle to this one in 1973! It's one of my favorite antiques. Nice restorationl
Thank you!👍😉💚
Specaly on Brass, i like the before and after effect. very decorativ. 👍👍👍👍👍But i dont think, it is old. It seams to be a replica from the seventies. Old screws, over hundred years had not six sides, only four. The is also no sign the handle was used very offen. It looked new, but aged. In the seventies, brass objects for decoration bekame popular and there was a lot importet from India. Just like the bag in the last video.
Thank you!👍😉
My granny had a few of these. She used them as door stops. She taught me how they were used.
Thank you!👍😉
Beautiful. So glad you didn't sand it all the way down and some of the pitting was still visible. I'd rather have that than losing too much of the original. It looks so good. Fantastic
Thank you very much!)👍😉 Glad you liked it!
I have a question. The bump on the side that you removed - was that not a 7? And if so, was it not meant to be there? I just know that a lot of metalwork has markings for the craftsman or like, serial numbers. So I was just curious
Thanks 👍😉

Thank You! It is so beautiful how you truly restore these art works. For you are true artist. They do not make any thing the way they used to, they were build to last once upon a time. One LOVE
This guy is a liar. He fakes the dirt and rust and . I can't stand people who make this fake crap.. brass cannot rust.
Thanks👍😉

I remember my grandmother had one of these. She didn’t use it anymore, but it was still in beautiful condition. You did a wonderful job with this iron!! Another 10 from Texas!

You are off the scale!❤ I love watching you restore things! The iron looks amazing❤

This guy DOES NOT RESTORE ANYTHING... HE TAKES A CLEAN ITEM AND COOKS SUGAR AND DIRT ONTO IT, HE DOESNT EVEN HAVE TO CLEAN IT BECAUSE HE JUST SHIWS WHAT IT LOOKED LIKE. EFOR HE COVERED IT IN FAKE RUST.. ALL HIS ITEMS ARE faked.
All of these old conveniences are always something to hold. So many of them heavy with the steel they were made from. They felt better even if todays conveniences are lighter and more efficient. Define a 10.
He is a liar. He takes clean items and makes them look dirty with fake rust...brass cannot rust... all real craftsmen call him out, he could even be ruining these items and editing the film so the before becomes the after.
Incredible workmanship, great job, Beautiful result❤
Thank you!👍😉
Ummm… I have no words for that! Your channel should be called, ‘The Miracle Worker’. Wow… that is gorgeous! You’re simply amazing. Another realm.
I didnt know brass rusts!!
Hahah! And no corrosion marks, also the rust on the metal insert is shiny! Many of there’s restores guys have skill but worry about this fake corrosion none sense. Diminishing my appreciation for there skill.

@@TheRestorer No problem 😊 I'm happy to watch your masterpieces come to life.
It’s fake. He added the patina. Anything that crusty should’ve had pitted metal and cracked wood. The little door still slid open nice and easy, should’ve been completely corroded shut. This is a new trend among KZheadrs, where they purposefully make something look so far gone and then restore it.
Amazing to see something so wrecked become beautiful again ❤
