@@rigorm136 you make very good points tbh. I'm not saying it's a fun fight, but considering Elden ring is littered with bosses who have stupid wind up times combined with an instant slam attack, it was nice to play a less erratic fight His roll away is some shit though

Hey quick thing that might be helpful In DS3 not wearing armor on a part of your body doesn’t just give you no extra damage absorption, but actually explicitly makes you take extra damage Having anything on a section at least stops the debuff the game gives you If you don’t use this info and still priories the fashion, I still respect that

@@slycwby2478 yeah you're right. i thought this was the ''oh, you know wearing armor decreases damage taken'' comment. i should have read more carefully. my apologies
not exactly a debuff, ds3 has 2 types of defenses, absorption and defense. Absorption is pretty easy to understand, the number that shows there is a percentage of damage taken from an attack, now defense makes no sense, but it scales with level, and is only active when you have armor on, so it ain't a debuff, you just didn't activate your defense. Though I will say, if I remember correctly, 0 defense makes you take more damage because of how the damage calculations work
@@ninjazking6667 Actively having any piece of armor on any section gives you a flat defense buff, the percent changes depending on which slot You can consider this a buff, but I consider having no clothes a debuff rather than the absence of a buff due to the fact most people in DS3 will have a full set of gear at all times So it’s more like there’s the two things an an extra odd bonus to the two things for just… interacting with either DS3 defense is weird

Boy is it the most tedious but technically doable thing. Source: I never did a whole run, but I spent a looong time doing sunbro things with a joke torchman character. That follower torch in the dlc was a blessing.

I've beaten Iudex, Bow Only. As far as I got. Now I've got this monstrosity of a video to enjoy so I don't have to do it myself. You can only procrastinate Dark Souls 2 for so long. Running out of options now.

I 100% the game yesterday, and when you went into your inventory at 22:55 and I saw that proof of concord well kept, I almost started crying. I had flashbacks man... Ok that's all I wanted to say, awesome video! Legolas, Hawkeye, and all the skeletons of minecraft would be proud

@@2DLexa In short: You have to farm the same 3 knights over and over to get Proof of concords so you can trade them in and get items required for trophies Full explanation: To 100% the game you must collect all rings and all miracles, to get The Darkmoon Ring and Darkmoon Blade you must collect 30 Proof of Concords Well Kept total and hand it to Captain Yorshka or whatever her name is. The drop rate for these is incredibly rare and the fastest way to farm them is to kill 3 silver knights at the staircase to Anor Londo. I spent around 10-15 hours farming those same 3 knights over and over again to get those damn items for a platinum trophy. P a i n does not come close to describing it
Derpid Bowie is a renown explorer who sailed across the world trading goods like spices and pelts to fuel a project to built the biggest crossbow in the world so he and his crew could go to space and barter with Apollo for his bow….duh

Think I love most about runs that involve crossbows in any Fromsoft game is the hard proof and confirmation that damage per unit of ammo is more important than damage per second, especially when you can only carry a limited amount of ammo, and even more so when ammo costs money/souls/runes.

As someone who always has a bow as a secondary weapon. I have tried but I always end up using a bow in my dark souls runs. So I’m excited to see this one. The triple shot from the black bow actually did amazing against the deacons of the deep
Seeing all those hits you were taking trying to take a shot during the greatbow run of deacons, I was thinking "Why isn't he wearing armor for the poise?" Then I remembered... it's Dark Souls 3.
The multihit crossbows are really best with the bleed inducing flechete bolts. IIRC Gael's bow can cause it to proc multiple times from close up, so they can be really good against bleedable enemies.
I have no idea how you can put yourself through all this madness, but thank you. You're suffering provides us with great entertainment.

7:21 I did my own bow only playthrough about half a year ago and ran into this same problem. I ended up finding out that if you use the mighty shot ability that longbow has it breaks that bridge
7:00 I recently did a run with bow only and it COULD POSSIBLY break the bridge. In addition, there are two ways. Greatbow with exploding arrows (hard way). There is also a simple method that I discovered by accident. Skeletons that throw knives(I remember that this skeleton seemed to have claws and knives. He is standing near the passage to the bridge) at you can break a bridge with these knives. Just lure them closer and try not to die. I'm actually surprised no one does this

You should try Deacons on NG+ with Crossbows only, it's actually really fun

on the deacons of the deep, you can try to drag the first phase around to the other side of the giant coffin and then once the true boss appears run back and youll have a large window of time where all the other mobs are not there to block your shots

The best way to defeat the second wyvern is to stay underneath it and kinda go in the corner on its left side. The mighty shot attack helps but maybe putting a status would help with the barrage skill
The splintering bolts you get after finding greirat on the roof are prety good with the avelen (cant spell) but enjoyed the video

I did this challenge and oh boy it was fun as hell, now i know why from don't want to make the bow op, they're good for mob clearing and fun for bosses.
You could have used the avilyn or whatever its called on the crossbow run to do status buildup, as it fires 3 bolts at the same time, would have absolutely shredded some of the bosses I'm sure
The event that saves Grairat is killing Pontiff before advancing towards Profaint Capital. While having given Sigward his armor or having told Patches about Greirats most recent trip while abandoning Sigward.
