  • We can't tell you how much we appreciate your honesty on this subject Matti, normally creators keep their money hush because they think they will be treated differently, but we love that you have gone out of your way to tell us what the journey is really like! The only thing we can really think of that took away a bit of this value is that, like you said before, you wouldn't have probably grown this quickly if it wasn't for collaborating with Peter, so the fiances you showed near the beginning are slightly unrealistic as they don't have years of video creating for no money being made like most creators. Obviously this isn't your fault and we are not saying this is a bad thing, and we are not trying to diminish all of the hard work put into videography and freelancing way before you started KZhead! But maybe we could see a video in the future of you talking to another creator who has gone through the process of growing from nothing with no help and what they earn if they feel comfortable about it? Just a thought, but amazing video! :)

    • gear, gear, gear... to be honest, as much as I like Matti he's not really talking the truth imho. He is a slave of advertisement the one way or another. If he likes doing ads, gear reviews and small vlogs it's ok, but then don't call yourself "film maker" or don't tell "real" film makers to do the same. When did he make a real short film last time? With a message, with a story, with a purpose. If you want to realize bigger projects (with actors, sound, make up etc.) I don't know if KZhead is the fastest/best way to achieve that. If you have a KZhead channel like Matti there are just no resources/time left to make "real" film making because you have to keep your business going.

  • It’s great how genuine and open you are with the whole process of making videos on KZhead and what comes along with it while still keeping it so enjoyable to watch. Keep it going!

  • When you say " the best part about this whole thing' as an independent creator once you've built an audience is that you can decide what you want to create, isn't quite how I think it goes. If you were to upload a passion project on this channel that has nothing to do with this channel, do you still think this audience would watch it? There's a formula that is somewhat being applied to all of this. I appreciate & respect the rationale, grow an audience, and therefore obtain creative freedom, however, I don't think it's quite the case, more and more so when algorithms come into play and sometimes shooting content for brands or having that passion project sponsored by a brand can actually be more fruitful. Great video regardless mate.

    • I guess what he means is that once you have gained that financial freedom you can make your passion project. And who cares if it bombs, as long as you made it.

  • you think socialblade is conservative because your audience live predominantly in countries with big marketing budgets like UK, USA or canada. in spain a normal RPM is like 0,10$ - 0,50$ 🤪

    • And the topic matters too. It is not the same talk about food that finances. The CPM is totally different.

    • Source country of viewers makes quite a difference for me. My earnings from the UK, US, and Canada are much better (probably similar to Matti's), but over 75% of my traffic is from countries where ads pay less. Not complaining, just agreeing with gominuke!

  • I would imagine Social Blade stats are in USD meaning your top income in CAD based on their estimate would be $11.3K. I imagine your Adsense is displayed in CAD? Anyways thanks for the insight Matti, hopefully I can start making money with youtube someday soon :)

  • Super inspired by this Matti. Lately been questioning what I REALLY want to do for a living, working the classic 9-5 but don't get the same fulfilment as I do from my own personal projects. And I went off the idea of KZhead and creating my own audience, but the videos you have been putting out lately have been super inspiring and genuinely make me want to make a brand for myself. Love the raw, honest content man, appreciate all you do. Keep up the great work
