He makes sense right from the beginning
As most don’t have a detailing garage, I’d prefer these videos were done in a driveway scenario as many of these tips wouldn’t work well in direct sun where things dry much faster. Cheers
Unfortunately making videos outside isn’t easy because of audio. This process can be done outside easily with one simple change, use Rinseless, and do one panel at a time.
Well said. Also, most people I know in my city have a garage they can detail from and wash their cars. Also, filming indoors allows me to have perfect control of the recording environment: lighting, sound, etc. Filming outdoors is way more challenging.

Tip to manufacturer: For the clay towel. Put numbers on each quarter of the towel. That way it's easier for the consumer to know/remember which sides is used and not used.

I use ONR to wash the car and to lubricate the clay bar. Once claying is finished, I then use Turtle wax Seal & Shine. It's very quick and easy and delivers great results. By the way, I also learned about those products in this channel. What a great source of info. Thanks Pan.

I've had the privilege of learning this from Yvan in person, and it's not only highly effective but also simple and profitable. If you're learning it for the first time, you'll quickly realize how effortless it can be. I'm definitely looking at doing all of this myself when I get my new car soon. I think the biggest obstacle to doing this perfectly is having a garage that is well lit. Especially when you're putting the ceramic coating on. I have a garage that has plenty of room. It's just that the lighting is really not that good. So I've got a look at buying a few lights to make it worth it. All in all, even spending the money on the products, the lighting etc., I'm still going to spend a lot less than $1250 to get this done in my town.
Efficiency and enjoyment are keenly represented here by Yvan, Its why we watch their channels and keep our cars clean. Well done Sir's 👏 👏

I can’t spend hundreds of dollars for professional coating but want a good ceramic I can apply myself for a decent price. I understand there are different levels as far as “years” of protection. One of those worx hydroshots are great for a "rinseless". I have a 6 gallon bucket and mix 5 gallons of solution. Using the worx i pre rinse an entire crew cab f150 using about 3 gallons and the last 2 gallons is enough for the wash. If in the sun I go panel by panel. If the truck is filthy i use 5 gallons hot water - amazing at dissolving grime that way. Im still old school and using ONR plus carpro reload as rinse aid/sealant.

Great video, does the spray on rinse off method described in the video give the same results as a spray on wipe off sealant? I use turtle wax graphene coating am curious about switching to this method if it provides just as good or better results!

Glad I watched this video. I have a clogged ceramic coating that I would like to try a synthetic clay towel on to see if it will bring the hydrophobics back. Great vid with tons of good info.

Excellent video! It's always nice to learn from Yvan. I used this method today(Rinseless, perforated synthetic decontamination towel) on three cars. It works beautifully! Ceramic gloss is sent from Heaven! I also love Yvan's method of one spray of(in His case, Ceramic Gloss) I used iron remover on the panel, one spray to the PSDT. Works like a charm! I used to spray IRON-X on the car and watch the surface turn purple....eh,this method is better!It feels like I'm accomplishing something. THANK YOU for this fine video fellas!

And just like that, this video has become a reference for the net. Wash, clay and seal for both rinseless and traditional soap. Covers such a breadth of information in a concise format with top guys in the industry. DIY Detail "Clay" Towel is definitely going to be part of my Spring season product purchase. Definitely taken a page out of Yvan's book regarding wheels. Love Brake Buster, but after using it once for a thorough clean, my maintenance washes on wheels involve just a rinseless. They really don't get that dirty in two weeks. Even easier to wash if you seal it with some Turtle ICE Seal n Shine ;). I'll grab BB for tires and the occasional reset if I feel the accumulation is too much, but even then I'll dilute it at least between 2:1 or 4:1 (water:BB)

27:24 for the duration, I'm curious if this is for ceramic coated vehicles such as this one or if that duration is on non ceramic coated vehicles as well. I absolutely love the Ceramic Gloss and Quick Beads. The application is stupendously easy for both. Seeing the real time beads made as you rinse the vehicle. Very satisfactory.

Great video and loving the channel - thank you. I’m just setting out on DIY detailing for myself but not clear on the Decon/protection application. Would the Decon/protection stage be done on every wash? What steps would be done for a weekly wash?

Forgive the newbie question as I'm learning the process and techniques binge watching Pan's channel. Would both of these process's be considered maintenance (weekly or bi-monthly) washes? How often would you use the Iron Remover? Thanks for the content!
Not gonna lie, every time I smell the DIY rinseless wash it makes it increasingly difficult not to drink 😂😂 Another great video collab! 😎👍 Appreciate the full transparency of this Rinseless method. I actually use it as a glass cleaner, interior wipe down cleaner, and anti static spray for the fabrics. So many use cases! 💯 Keep up the great work DIY!

DIY rinseless wash on my car today only took 35 minutes. Didn’t even need to use glass cleaner. I used multiple microfibre towels and one 15 litre bucket , dunk the IK sprayer in for pre wash then rinse off with garden hose and then use the multiple mits that were soaking in the bucket Next on the list is to purchase the legacy sponge 🧽

Is this process more for the utilization of the DIY Detail sealant specifically? Wondering if I could do this with Stjarnagloss Parla? (I would do windshield since Parla says not to)
Hey Pan, thanks for the video and content always appreciate it. So depending on the surface of the paint, you don’t always have to paint correct it if you Claybar the surface, just make sure to seal it with a wax or ceramic spray after claying?
I bought the big red sponge - it fell apart - so I bought the black one - it fell apart - now I just use the chenille - the sponges are too expensive - that's my opinion
Pan, as always, great information. The video made me think of a question concerning a product you mentioned in a video about two years ago. It was an iron remover mixed with a shampoo, so you could do two steps in one. Do you remember what it was or have any new recommendations? Thanks!
Thanks! Are you referring to this shampoo: bit.ly/3s3sJLA That's a combination of snow foam, or shampoo (you can use it in the foam cannon or bucket for hand wash) and an iron remover. But the iron removing capabilities aren't as strong as the full strength dedicated CarPro IronX iron remover for example. That soap is more for maintenance.

Thanks Marcelo. To be clear, I don't wear any rings or watches when detailing. That was my friend Yvan who has the rings. And he has 40+ years of detailing experience. He is widely respected in the detailing world and he knows what he's doing. Never once has he scratched a vehicle because of a ring or watch. So I wouldn't worry about him. ;) But for everyone else, you are absolutely right. Never wear jewelry when detailing.
Hey Pan! Can we use gyeon quick detailer instead of the ceramic gloss and still do the same method with the ulra fine grade clay towel? Like, rinseless wash and then spray gyeon quick detailer and use the clay towel then dry with the mricrofibre towel?
Is it safe on PPF to do the ceramic gloss and clay towel step?
Hi, I’m new to your channel, just subbed. I’m 67 and am taking delivery of a 4 year old white golf. I suffer from a lot of arthritis but I want to have my car looking amazing. Is the best way for me to go the wash clay seal , as although it took your guy a very short period of time to get it done, I’m a lot less nimble. Also would you recommend a wax aftermarket? Indeed happy Saturday ❤. Thanks so much for sharing. I am noticing that you are using IL Multi 2 for the rinseless part, but literally a week ago I bought the IK Foam sprayer. Would that also work? Also, for a daily driven car, how often is recommended to make this full process?
I have both the Multi 2 and Foam Pro 2 for different uses. I would recommend that you get a regular sprayer for the rinseless wash (Multi 2) and keep the foaming sprayer for products that need to be foamed.

Have heard the comment on many vids that the Legacy Sponge is the same material on both sides; however, I just watched an older DIY Detail vid with Nick and Yvan that stated that the red and black sides are two different materials... one slightly more aggressive than the other. Did the sponge change at some point?
Awesome video. Definitely saved for future reference. Other than DIY Iron Remover, what alternative iron removers can be used in the same way?
It's impossible to say as you'd have to make tests and find out the formulation of each one. The key thing is to use an iron remover free of any solvents. CarPro IronX also works well in my testing.
What do you think of spraying tar remover. (Applies to iron remover too) then cover them with ph neutral snow foam? So it can dweel longer and maybe it the iron / tar remover can be more effective?
