That 0-2 record was a little misleading for the Vikings. Both of their losses came down to the last play, one of them being a missed game-winning field goal, so it's not like they were a terrible team. This week they solidly handled the Seahawks without Dalvin Cook. I feel like if their defense can improve just a bit more and if Kirk can consistently play like this, they can definitely be a team that can go on a winning streak later on this season.

You don’t suck the Vikings are actually imo a pretty good team. They should be 3-0. Missed an easy field goal. Got cheated on a bad fumble call in OT. Their offensive line has looked really good. And with Kirk starting off hot their pass game has been amazing. Just a really bad DBs that played okay this game.

Osborn gaining in confidence, Conklin gaining in confidence, Joseph gaining in confidence. You can see it. I would like to see more from the young D-Linemen. OL played very well. Mattison is not flashy, just a solid RB (can't wait for Rose and Nwangu). Defensive adjustments by both teams, but Zimmer's were more effective. Russ was running for his life so many times. God help him when he starts losing a step because he is going to get seriously hurt.

That’s the best game I’ve ever seen Cousins play! There was a rusher that broke through on several plays and he coolly made a good throw and willingly took the hit he knew was coming!
He sure didn't look like a scardy cat, that was for sure. Made some throws under pressure and could feel my heart rate go up, only for the pass to land right in his RB's or Tight End's gloves! He was on his game today for sure. "You like that!?".

Seriously. When Cook is healthy again, we gotta keep the same mentality. He's a great ball carrier, but we can't funnel so many opportunities through one ball carrier. It makes the play calling way too predictable and inevitably, the running back gets hurt.

Cousins really has been great. He may have had his best game to date as a Viking in their unfortunate loss to Arizona... then he topped that this week with an impressive win. The two Vikings losses can pretty much be chalked up to horrible defense at times, horrible place kicking, some bad officiating, and some questionable play calling. Defense improved this week. Kicker made his kicks. And this offense rolled over Seattle without Dalvin Cook. Vikings run game miraculously didn't suffer at all. Kirk threw strikes all day in the pass game to Jefferson, Osbourne, Conklin, Thelin, and screens to Madison. Our defense shutdown what looked to be a lackluster second half Seahawks offense who have burned us mercilessly over the past decade. I don't think there were many Vikings fans ready to chalk this up as a win until that final second ticked off the clock... Lol.

The Seahawks stopped scoring in the second half last game too. They let Derrick Henry get 200+ yards from scrimmage in the 2nd half while not scoring at all themselves. That's the problem.
You're absolutely right. Here's a stat line for you. The Seahawks have scored 75 points on offense through the first three games this season. Of those 75 points, they have scored 62 points in the first half of games and only 13 points in the second half of games. Pete Carroll apparently places a high emphasis on "finishing the game". Our offense is not playing in the second half at all.

What really killed this game is when the Vikings came out of the first half and had an 8 1/2 minute drive. It gave the defense more time to rest and gassed the Seahawks defense the rest of the game.
Absolutely, but Sea defense fault since they gave up 3rd down conversion one after another. Just plain vanilla defense and yet players were visibly angry at some blown coverage/assignments (again - like last year)

The Vikings are not a bad team, they’re literally a couple plays from being 3-0. The offense was firing on all cylinders, o-line held up well, and the running game was good even without Cook. The defense made plays and completely shut the Hawks out in the 2nd half. Gg Seahawks, we finally got ya. (Only took 6 tries)

Don't worry, the Vikings will inevitably choke just before the playoffs, or in the wildcard round. Cousins and Zimmer are a terrible combo, and until they leave, the Vikings will always be mediocre. I say this as a Vikings fan.

It's really hard to beat any team with out a corner. Tre flowers puts on a good show in training camp. Then when the season starts he waves everybody on, and claps for the receivers when the catch the ball, the other teams receivers.

I think I can get open against Flowers.... No matter who you are, act like you are going to sprint straight down the field and he will give you a 10 yard cushion. Then you break the route off inside or a comeback and voila easy catch. I'm so tired of seeing it. Why are the Sea NEVER calling press coverage? They never bump and run any more. They give huge cushion to receivers out of fear of the deep ball, and die the death of a thousand cuts.
