These Texans were unusually competitive for a 2-14 team.
As a Texans fan I remember it vividly, we lost nearly every game by one score, that team was a preseason Super Bowl pick, they where really talented, it was just fluke after fluke after fluke. First Matt Schaumburg arm fell off, the are entire defense got injured.

Some things never change. 3 quarters of negative offensive production. Russ holding onto the ball instead of throwing it away. Relying on DST black swan events. Then Russ only remembering he's an elite runner at the end of the game.

Think this game was a sign of the end of the Matt Schaub era in Houston. Dude was a solid QB for so many years, then just fell off a cliff, I believe he went on a run of throwing pick sixes after this game as well.

They did for like 6 seasons until they had lost a step. They made the most out of that team years wise. Obviously could've had 1 more super bowl though.
