A bunch of electrical cabinets from 1967 and a great solid jarrah bench as well as over 100kgs of thick copper cable But that cable will be saved for a couple future melts. Now sit back relax and enjoy the video .And sorry for talking so much at the end with the monkey 😁👍.

57 Year Old Copper Cabinets Farm Find - ASMR Metal Melting -Trash To Treasure - BigStackD Casting
What a great find today. Thanks to my friend. A heap of old cabinets from the 1960s and a great solid jarrah workbench that needs a little bit of work but will function perfectly in the melt area. On top of that as you’ll see in the video around 130 kg of cable, but that’s for a couple of future melts. So be sure to sit back relax take a break and turn your brain off but most importantly, have a happy safe weekend and see all you beautiful people on the next melt 👋🏻😃
Hello sir I sent you a email regarding the “Devil Forge” and couple other things but no reply. I hope I sent it to the right email
Another spectacular video. Posted only 25 min ago and over 2K views in 25 min. Your doing great 👍🏼 keep up the good work sir
Need more friends like "D" here. Ive even got 2 old corder phones. One table top one wall mounted..... thank you for a nee show. Love from Beaverlodge.
Looks like a robot a fat johnny 5 alive hahaha
Hi, these orange things that look like heatsinks are selen rectifiers. Don't smash them since selenium is toxic. Have a nice weekend everyone :)

Love the 10mm socket antics
They are so slippy and smart lol
That box needs a chain.
Lets take a moment to appreciate how well maintained your friends 'junkyard' is... even the grass under the old frames is cut short... brilliant...
But how did they cut the grass so even under these old vehicles??
You’ve never experience true adventure until you have wandered into Buc-ee’s and made it out alive.
That electric cabinet, unopened for 57 years, is remarkably clean.
Well yeah it’s 57 years old, but who knows when it was last opened it could’ve been opened five years ago and cleaned out, although that one was completely sealed with no holes in it but the rest did have small holes where cables were hanging out so that might explain it as well🤔
@@bigstackD There's no way the cable in there's that old. If it was the insulation would probably be falling off as you pulled it out.
@@aidangattinger8975 The crimped cable shoes are looking quite "fresh", but the "Bakelit" housings of the switching components are genuine 50s or 60s.
or if you are ever looking for a weathertight cabinet, you know who to go to to get one 👍
It seems everyone has the 10mm socket escape issue 😂😂😂 Cheers 🍻
Yeaaah, the come back of the 10 mm sockets 🤣😍🤩
I find the best way to keep the 10mm sockets to stay where they are is to leave a 10mm nut in the box with them. They’re happy if they have a mate! Who knows, they might bring you some baby sockets!!! Great video as always. 👍👍👍
stops playing, rewind, summons 21yo mechanic son over... and replays for the 10mm socket bit. Both of us wiping away tears of laughter. ty. 😀
I found one of your 10mm sockets out in the wild, on Tottenham Court Road last week. I will send you a photo from its sight-seeing tour. I tried to catch it but a loud motorcycle went past and when I looked back it had gone.
XD
That one box looks like a happy face 😁
Looks like an old robot 🤖 😂
Glad I'm not the only one who saw it!
i love how your phone conversation is just a scene from Goodfellas sped up 🤣
I’m playing it back at .25 speed… it’s too chimpmunky to make out :’(. But you can see the movie poster as he pans up haha. Edit1, playing it back at 0.5x speed is somewhat clearer: something something house is under something name, my car is registered to my wife, something something your sister’s last name… edit2: OH OHHHHHHHH THE ENDING COURTROOM MONOLOGUE!!!
@@dan725 you can't use KZhead for everything lol, I had to record in audacity and slow it down
@@summerlaverdure Such a good film. Our dude Mr. BigStackD is a man of culture!
Nice. I was just wondering if it was nonsense or actual talking.
Ingot so excited for food 🤣
5th Element stones? I love that film. Maybe you could try to cast some spheres and polish them, would look awesome.
Some of the flames out of the furnace and crucible were magic today, looked like real old school alchemy! 🧙
Happy Birthday Adam, whoever you are
its friday, and you r awesome bigstacked...
I think all my 10mm sockets “emigrated”…. 😂😂😂 love it!
Nice Bucky's beer coozy. Glad to see a bit of Texas made it your way. Fantastic production quality as always.
I would've expected heaps of rust in them for some 57 year old cabinets. That's an awesome find
The fifth element is an absolute gem
I love your jokes about the 10 mm socket. So true. We have the same problem here in the states, however, we also have to deal with the impostor... the 3/8" socket. Whenever you can't find the 10 mm, for some reason, you find that you do have five or six 3/8" sockets posing as your missing 10 mm. I have NEVER needed a 3/8" socket but they are everywhere!
@ 5:02 it's clean in there because it has a watertight O-Ring gasket seal on it that still appears to be in great shape..... Imagine a world where we built stuff that would last 57 years no problem....
I find what you do enjoyable to watch. Your vids have a quality that makes following the flow/ process easy to understand. Your property is cool. Your dogs are cool., and i appreciate that you don't make the subject about you. Im sure your a decent person, but it never ceases to amaze me how tubers make the channel about them. I like the process. The melt. The energy. Thanks for your work. It's good stuff. Colorado USA.
that is the nicest junk yard I ever seen
Well it wasn’t actually a junkyard it was his farm , It was more of a storage area, but yes everything in it was pretty much bloody junk 👍🏻. He has 850ish acres and I can assure you if I had that much land I would definitely have a shitload more crap than he did.
@@bigstackD I noticed in one of your videos the screws look different. They are called security screws. That’s why you type in what kind of screws these are
Truck driver driving at night in the USA enjoying your videos . 😊
Drive safe my friend👊🏻😁
Drove my 12hrs and hit the bunk kept the hubby safe while he slept 😴 love watching your videos and glad you finally opened your x-mas box from us
Bucee’s coozie week 2! They are going to build one near me! Glad you love the beaver!
Great Job Sir. I do admire your dedication to the book every week.... That has to get a little tedious....
Still up at 4am Eastern Time, USA, so tuned in now.
14:05 I love when a stretch turns into a full blown nap
The best part about having multiple unit break downs in these videos is getting to watch it go from careful disassembly to "frick it grab a hammer." XD
This is going to get buried but thank you for making these remember back when it was your old house in driveway. Now your here so thank you.
Awesome to see the legendary ambassador car in there
Loved the countdown on dog time. Can’t enough of the doggos
@ 13:34 A Buc-ee's bottle cozy cooler... Heh heh heh!!! What a great gift. You probably have no idea, but they have some HUGE gas stations/ Convenience Stores in the USA.....
Great episode brother have a great weekend
Cheers mate, you too👊🏻😁
Cheeky little shart at the start 😆
You can spend as much time video-ing the dogs as I love to watch them and listen to their snorts. Yes, I adore watching the metal melts too. But those dogs........they melt my heart.
That evening pour was *Chef’s Kiss. It must be nice in the cool evening air with the crickets and frogs going at it :). Living the life!
Thank you for the good look at the old cars. loved it.
Whoo another Friday, another great melt!
I have been scraping for many moons and I have been watching your channel and you inspired me to stop weighing in my tat and start to melt them down now instead. Thank you
You could make a nice elevated bird bath in the corner of that yard with some perches next to it. Within a couple of weeks you would have all sorts of native birds, whole families, coming down to splash and be videoed. I'm in QLD and my bird bath gets all sorts of incredible birds
Ahhhh another perfect video for my morning coffee, thank you for existing mate! Love from Greece!
That junk lot and the metal cabinets looks like a scene and items out of Fallout!!!
Nice sneak peak of some infinity stones
I agree about the maggies. Lol. I love them. My daughter doesn't like them, though. She got swooped on as she rode her bike into the school grounds. They got her n she fell off her bike. The second time, she heard them coming n swung her bag n hit them.
he's not lazy when there is steak! lol 🤣🤣🤣🤣
A Great melt and discovery! It’s crazy how old those cabinets are, and they were mostly intact! A nice video as always 👍
Glad you enjoyed
Love the 10mm antics lol
Same here! Lol the effort he makes to add it in!
I CAN NOT express how glad I am finding this channel awhile back! Love the peace it brings as well as education. The big bonus is that you take the time to let us see it all from start to finish. Great videos mate and love the set up you have from tools to collectibles. Keep up the good work! Cheers!
I sympathize, Bigstack. I needed a 10 mm socket a couple of days ago, and out of the 10 or so sets I have, I could only find 1 socket. I couldn't even find a 3/8 socket! I think I found the 1 10 mm because it was locked in my toolbox. Unfortunately, I left it in my car, and i think it escaped the last time I was away from home and opened the door. Sigh. Time to go to the hardware store again... I also found that my 13mm and their close cousins, the 1/2 inch sockets had escaped, although I couldn't find ANY of them.
AWESOME work as per your usual excellence. And THANK YOU for bringing back those mischievous 10 mm sockets! That always makes me smile.
This is an ASD's dream job!!!!
Another nice melt! I was amazed how clean the inside of those 57 year old cabinets were. I wish I had preserved as well 😂. Have a great weekend sir!
You and me both bud . 11 years till I'm 57 but somedays i feel twice that old. My body is battled and bruised for varies reasons and my back is still bad from when I thought it be a good idea to throw my Harley through the bush at 130kmh 🙄. A couple of crushed discs I battle through every day but even though its continual pain I'm still alive after the crash so I look at it like a second chance and take the pain like a champ 👊. And beer certainly helps aswell !
@@bigstackD Damn Dion, you need to watch that heavy lifting. I have a trick back from a ski accident years ago. I always have to remember to lift with my legs when moving heavy stuff.
Nice melt Big D! The copper/brass mixture looks good. Nice colour. I see you let slip with a little bit of vocals when you were patting Ingot 😉 I see he's still having issues with his ear..... hope it comes good soon! Have a good weekend buddy, talk soon. 🍺
Right on Brother . Yeah I heard the talking after the vid saved and uploaded but left it in as I didn't have a hours spare to edit save and upload . Not to worry Ill probably drop some words of wisdom here and there in future vids no doubt. Have a great weekend matey . Talk soon champ👊😀
I love it when he updates on the sockets its fricken hilarious.
67 and 68 were some pretty good years!
!! Last time I was this early, I was premature!
Morning g. Gosh darn10 mm's, great humor. Nice teardown. Glad Ingot and Bullion are doing well. Looking forward to next Friday's video. Have a great week.
You may not have what you need but you have time, skill and talent
I liked the appearance of the 5th Element stones as well as the 10mm socket escape. Cheers!
I’m a sign contractor here in Utah, USA. I would TOTALLY repurpose the contactors/relays 😎 Cheers 🍻
I love the narrative of the haunted 10mm sockets. It's fun. Love your videos.
Also love your crow buddies. Do they bring you gifts? Often crows will bring you something shiny in exchange. Some guy out on the west coast somewhere befriended a flock of crows, and they started leaving coins and other shiny bits as offerings for him.
No mate, the magpies will come and sing a nice song and call out to me when I’m in the shed, but when it comes to the crows they for some reason very scared and every time I walk out of the shed or go near them they fly away?? They have stolen two bags of the biscuits I leave out for the magpies so they’re a little bit cheeky in my opinion. The first time they stole the biscuits I was losing my mind as I couldn’t find them anywhere and had no idea what I had done with them, thinking I might’ve hid them for some reason when I was drinking, which makes no sense, but then, after a small storm we had Down the back of the property I saw the empty bag of biscuits and on closer inspection could see the bag had been ripped to shreds so the cheeky buggers stole all the biscuits, but who knows if the crows will be, my friend ? time will tell👍🏻😁
Loving the element stones from 5th element there BigstackD... Awesome-sauce melt as usual... might be sending you some "extruded alum" guide rails from a place i work.. i'll let you know when.. ❤😎👍
Your mate said a hell of a lot more than that on the phone. I speak Charlie Brown mom, I know!
Thank you for another enjoyable and awesome video this is the highlight of my Friday six stars brother
Can't wait for that massive copper melt coming up
Went to Australia in late 91 while in the Army, that farm looks just like one of the drop zones we used to parachute in, was not fun dodging appliances to find an open spot to land, good times
😂lol those sneaky 10mm sockets don't take your eyes off them🤣😂!
I'm here. Will have to return later to watch again. Once is never enough. Too bad there ain't such a thing as a lawn vacuum to suck up those rocks that washed down into your nice lawn.
the looks of the one cabinet made me think of a face and that it would make a perfect scrap robot for the shop
Great Video! The pour at dusk sure looked different. Really surprised how clean that one box was, I didn't expect that. Have a great weekend everyone!
Oh that 10mm struggle... what a great humour you have BigStackD 😅 I keep mine close all the time.
All that work and thats it. Looks like maybe a kilo of copper out of those cabinets full of copper.
Another great find. I love the old boxes. I'd definitely find a use for them in my place 👍👍
Excelente fundação, gosto de ver como sucatas de cobre e bronze viram lingotes e tesouro 🪙 para seu cofre, parabéns 🍻🇧🇷🇦🇺
Whenever I hear the melt phone ringin, idk why, but I always hear Janine Melnitz yelling in my head.. *"WE GOT OOOONE!!!!"* 👻🤣
One of the best looking "junk yards" I've seen. Hell, I've seen worse front yards than that
23:10 I'm a Japanese listener. I love Sapporo Classic Beer and never dreamed it would come out in this video! I am very happy that you said ”pretty good”! I'm looking forward to next week's video. Also, the next coming up of 10mm sockets XD
🍺👌🏻
Always great video brother from the imperial county California 👍🇺🇲
Thumbs up for the bird naming!! Happy melting!!
Your videos are the best, mate!
4:17 ,that top cabinet looks like the Kelloggs frosted Mini wheats mascot 🤣
Absolutely love your videos, look forward to them every Friday, keep up the awesome work my man 💪
That was pretty nice find. Lucky to have friends like that. As always love the puppy time at the end.
Fifth element stones nice 👍
ALWAYS LOVE your "commentary" on the elusive 10MM!!😅🤣😂
Nice melt for today. Nice.
O Lordy - had a good two minute laugh with the 10 mm bit. Where do those buggers get off to??!? No doubt making it with those ne’er do well 13 mms beneath the bench…in the concrete cracks…under the monkeys…hiding in yer shoes at lunch 👍👍👍😊😊😬
Hi BigstackD Casting & it's is Randy and i like yours video is cool & Thanks BigtackD Casting & Friends Randy
Another great video! I like the style of your videos. Those orange-brown round metal fins at 11:39 appear to be selenium rectifiers, an almost antique electronic treasure. I wish I could just stop by with a beer and pick up these relics. Greetings from Austria 👍🙂
The kookaburras caught word that you feed those black and white birds (magpies?), and they're hoping to get some free food too
Been waiting all week for this - excellent another upload!
The shots of pouring molten metal in the dark are so much more vivd and impressive looking, everything glows so much better
I knew I liked you when I saw the Frenchies. It takes a certain type of person to have more than 1 Frenchie. This I know, I know it all too well. Good stuff!
I appreciate your content 👍🇺🇸
Those huge rectifiers would look great in a mad scientist lab scene.
