I often feel sorry for my kitties when I tell them I love them because it's often very high pitched and very close to their ears. For an animal that has very sensitive hearing that must sound like an ambulance siren going off right next to your brain. I get slapped as well but I get it, it's loud and the vibration of our bodies when we talk must be also uncomfortable especially if it's a man with a deep voice.
