Close call with 3 Ford Broncos running Behind the Rocks on High Dive
Guys/ Gals this is raw in-edited no fancy-Spancy story telling trail footage. Sometimes tbh i just have desire to capture in a way that’s cinematic vs me just having fun with what i love doing most. So hopefully you all enjoy just watching as if you were out there with us on this trail. Behind the Rocks in Moab Utah has several challenging spots mainly one called the “High Dive” things definitely got interesting as we took a stock Ford Bronco Badlands down it…..😬

Jesus. These new Broncos are incredibly capable right out of the box. A friend purchased one and immediately put it through its paces. Funny comment at the end of the day: “Boy can I save a lot of money with this thing. I can’t think of anything I need at the moment to make this thing better to go have some serious fun!!” The Bronco is SO damn impressive. 👍🏻😎👍🏻
Never will I have the skill, nerve, or, honestly, the desire to attempt wheeling at this level. That said, to watch those who do is a pretty great way to spend 30 minutes. Well done, everybody.
Thanks for watching
That step decline section with the 4 foot drop would be scary in a short wheelbase vehicle
Yea hell no for me! Lol I wouldn’t drop into that in a 2door lol 😳
I can sense, mes amis, the wings of Towing services & Flatbeds circling your group in fevered-anticipation.
The coolest one is the girl! 👏👏👏
Amazes me that I see so many people roll trucks and still see people not buckled in.
Great content. Shows how capable these vehicles can be on the rough stuff and in the right hands. I was impressed wit the off road capability of the Bronco when I went to the off roadeo event in Texas. Well done folks.
Good stuff right there. Jason is the man! Jason rode with me at the Off-Roadeo Moab a month or two ago. I learned so much! Awesome job everyone!
Jason is definitely the man! Such a rad dude!
Ran into Jason on Hells Revenge. He was out playing in his personal rig and spotted me up Hells Gate in my Land Cruiser. Best spotter I've ever had.
Definitely a solid dude!!
Great trail guide and spotter work! Nice video, looking forward to doing it myself.
🫵🫵🙏🙏
Super sketch!!! Great Drive…Nailed it!!!
Beautiful! It was fun watching you all taking turns tackling the trail. I recognized Brian and Jason from the Moab Off-Roadeo. They were great guides when I attended in late February. So was Blake. I would have loved to have met Shelby. Y'all looked like you were having the time of your lives. Some undercarriage scrapes, to be sure. Nice to see no one went end-over-end, though! Great video, Chase.
Thanks for watching!
This is my favorite video of yours. Uncut, raw wheeling. Surprise there still aren't many videos like this on KZhead of the Bronco rock crawling.
Good insight! I’ll try and sprinkle more of these in the mix a bit more frequently
Sweetest three-wheel motion, ever.
Awesome Video! I need to get back out to the Moab. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching
Awesome video! Definitely had some pucker moments! Jeep makes it look easy, ford ain’t quite there yet😉
Badass! Great video love it unfiltered rare.. wish had my badlands with ya!
Thanks man!
I would have challenged the integrity of my marine grade vinyl seats just from the suction alone going down High Dive (actually I almost did to my office chair just watching the video!). I liked the raw video!
Let’s go!!! Great video man!
Chase is a fool with the cutaways. Love it!
😂
Brooooo… how have I never seen this video before?! Much excellence! The banter is just as good as the action!
Glad you enjoyed it!
That was really awesome!
wow amazing
Wow! Another great video. Keep up the badass content.
Thanks for watching!
Great driving, spotting, etc. Maybe keep the doggies out of the vehicle when you're navigating the dangerous stuff. I'm sure they're frightened and stressed when you're teetering at 41 degrees. They're not belted in, they're bouncing around, and God forbid, for you and your awesome doggie, you flip or roll your rig. Thanks for your videos and be safe. 👍
Wow! Fun to watch but - ya had to be there! Don't know his name but your spotter.... Clear, concise, encouraging, reassuring, relaxing at the right moments - and he knows the lines like he's run or spotted the runs hundreds of times. Excellent!!!
Ye a man that’s Jason he lives there so he’s VERY familiar to say the least!
Jason and Bryan are instructors for the bronco offroadeo. This is their job and I’m so jealous😂 I drove that blue bronco with Bryan a few months ago it was awesome
@@noah22261 I went to NV Off Redeo 10/7/21 - took another foreign Navy SEAL with me. He's got a monster jeep. Our guide Anthony, I think, was excellent as well. If course NV nothing like MOAB. I'm a Baja mode lover. My buddy completely redid his jeep after that day. I changed my order from BD to BL, 2dr. Now my bud can't wait for mine to get to me! LOLOLOL! I've got 9 parts waiting for it! Ha! Love the video and great mix of people. Hope to run into you guys some day. Hang 2 🤘
@0kn0wwhat I did! Picked it up 8/24. Good them: don't wash it, don't spray any underside protection on it, don't fit anything, don't take any plastic off anything, leave the stickers there, and don't drill/mount a front license plate bracket in the front. Just do the PDI & park it! LOLOLOL- exactly what they did. And I paid exactly what my signed order had on the bottom line. My sales lady: Twee Hayes @ Ken Grody Ford in Carlsbad, CA was AWESOME.
@0kn0wwhat I have the 2dr Badlands in Velocity Blue, 2.7/10spd, black MGV interior, roof rack, remote access/start, keyless entry. I've installed Bronco Tailgate Table, JBL Soundbar, hood struts (shocks), Bronco script on fenders - removed BL bagdes, installed Oracle LED brake light inside spare tire. Rigid LED Pod Lights on cowl - wired to Aux switches. Installed IAG Steps, Rokblokz mud flaps in front. Researching rooftop tents, rear seat delete kit, external storage racks.
Great job team! One of the better offroad videos. I really liked the technical rock crawling, the fact that the video was clean and not saturated with music, really nice hearing the tires on the rocks (not the roaring JL fan motor though). The Broncos performance was impressive, great job Bronco Ford (truck version needed) and the team who put this together!
I really appreciate the positive feedback seriously you frekn awesome 🫵🤘🏻👊🏻
@Toasty oh yea lol no no in a 2 door !! But yea I may do high dive this coming year with mine though 😈
@@ChaseGentry are you saying the 2 door is too short of a wheel base for something like the high dive?
@@CrystalRedTintcoat I wouldn’t attempt it
Awesome!
So amused by Shelby's "give it the beans," that I've 100% stolen it for my own use. I've now come back to this video to steal "Ford Momentum." Nice work on this video.
This is the content i live for !!
Awesome!! Glad you like it! I actually prefer this style of trail stuff too
@@ChaseGentry That’s what I love to hear looking forward to all your videos ! you’re killing it out there❤️👊
Impressive. Way above my pay grade, that is for sure. Great video!
Thanks!
Pretty cool video! Just imagine how easy a Bronco Raptor would have made that look. No beans required.....just another sunday drive, lol.
Seriously!!
I don't think you can get a higher level of intensity. Great content.
🙌🙏 thanks for watching!
Got a green 4 door badlands with sasquatch package. Can't wait to put her through her paces at moab in a few weeks
Bronco Safari?
Man, I don't know if I'd have the nerves to do that! Good job!
lol me either 😳😨 notice there wasn’t video of me doing it lol 😂
@@ChaseGentry haha. These vehicles are so impressive. So many limits to push.
Holy moly that looked scary
28:47, WOW!!! Amazing there wasn’t any damage
Yea man crazy frekn obstacle! 😳😰
DOPE! hehe gnarly
shewww! Palms are sweaty 😅
😂😂🤘🏻 knees weak, arms are heavy!
😂100%
I was surprised he didn't break a tie rod when he had that back tire 4 feet off the ground lol Ford did a pretty good job on the Bronco I hope they get that alternator problem sorted out for us forest people
Thanks for watching! And yea I’ve heard about that here and there too
Love your videos. I'm wondering if you unhook your sway bar or if this (and your other videos) are with it connected?
Thanks!! And totally still connected 👍🏻
LOL You ain't Lovin if you ain't rubbin... Great video!
Thanks for watching!!
That has to be one of the sketchiest trails I've seen. Definitely has the pucker factor.
Yes it’s definitely one to be very careful on!
Good thing those rocks at the bottom of slide down were there... would have totalled all three...
Good stuff
Thanks! And hey Ronald I wanted to thank you for sticking around the channel! I see your comments and consistent watch support so I appreciate you!
@@ChaseGentry thanks Thought you might enjoy what I wrote to the folks at Bronco Off Roadeo .. Bronco off rodeo headquarters, I wanted to take a few minutes and address my adventure on June 1 at the bronco off rodeo location in New Hampshire. My process of purchasing and ordering my Bronco has been so incredibly positive from the help that I received from the general manager David Toomey of the Ford store at Empire Ford to my sales person Hal Abrahamson. They were so great that I brought my cousin to the dealership and she purchased a Expedition. I was even invited to attend the bronco odf rodeo in New Hampshire as a guest event that Dave Toomey and Empire Ford was sponsoring sometime in the middle of June, but due to the following information that I will reveal my wife and I attended on our own. First and foremost this adventure was planned out far in advance and much planning had to go into this one day trip for us from Long Island New York. My wife Marion was my guest. Marion had a complete life-saving liver transplant several months back brought on from a bad reaction to a antibiotic. As you can imagine after having such an incredibly major transplant surgery the recovery has been long, hard, painful and continues to be such. You can’t imagine the emotions and the emotional state of mental health that you’re in after you’ve gone through such an incredible surgery, plus the debilitation of you physically. Marion has not been out of the house much nor has she been experiencing life as we knew it prior to her transplant. We haven’t had any fun over the last few months. This Bronco adventure took place on the eighth month anniversary of her transplant and she was so looking forward to it because this was going to give her an opportunity to have fun and really really feel alive again. I had several conversations previous to arrival over the previous months in reference to what Marion might experience, how rough the ride might be how clean the facilities that we were going to stay at we’re at the steel hill resort, special dietary needs and special arrangements so that Marion could be driven up to the hilltop rather than take a ski lift. Every and all special requests and arrangements were actually made and carried out completely without exception by your team at bronco off rodeo in New Hampshire. During the approximately 10 hours that we spent that day of the approximate eight hours of driving, I’d say that my wife did 7 1/2 of the hours driving she and had so much fun. This is important… For the first time in 8 months she smiled, laughed and had fun. She was so happy during the day it was a blessing to us. As someone that has purchased and gone through over 93 new vehicles since 1977 and been too many automotive events, I can tell you quite honestly that this was the most rewarding fun exciting and educational event of any automotive event that I’ve ever attended. Now to your staff. Despite the fact that June 1 was an extremely rainy day with heavy weather at times our experience was not dampened in any way shape or form by becoming wet. Tyler Skinner the guest service supervisor was so accommodating to Marion. I can’t begin to tell you, because of Marions liver transplant we had very special needs for food and accommodations etc and Tyler just went out of her way to do everything that we needed, including running downstairs and using the microwave to warm up some of Marion’s food that we had kept cold and frozen with dry ice. Taylor was compassionate to Marion understanding of her needs and went out of her way to make Marion feel comfortable, secure, safe and included in everything that was going on while we were at home base. She wasn’t left out of anything! Now about our special Tour Guide, Hank Hoover. As someone that had a business employing 185 people for over 25 years I can tell you that Hank is somebody that I would have loved to have had as one of my employees. Thank you Hank. …. Hank gave us a brief history on himself, Ford, the Ford bronco and then educated us on safety and all the special features of the bronco itself. Despite the rain and Hank getting twice as wet as anybody else that was there he took his time to explain every feature and how to go about going out on the trail safely… the demonstration trail was helpful to us all and gave us an idea of what we would see during the following hours that we would be spending on the trails and rocks. I had spoken to Hank earlier in the morning and let him know about Marion special needs. Hank arranged for us to have one of the Broncos that did not have the Sasquatch package so that it would be easier for Marion to get in and out of the vehicle, as the base Badlands on 33‘s was less of a climb than the other Broncos there that had 35 inch tires. He gave Marion very special attention during the day. He continued to check on Marion‘s progress, her comfort and to make sure she was safe consistently through the day ! He was caring. He let us know what was coming up on the trail ahead of time so we knew what to expect and he made it easy for any bathroom breaks that we needed for Marion and accommodated her as if he was looking out for his own family member. Besides the fact of his fun personality and his humanity, giving Marion some special attention, he was an extremely nice man, calm and an unbelievably knowledgeable guide concerning the course, the features of the vehicle, and making sure that we were all extremely safe. I just wanted to take a few moments to write this brief letter so that you would be able to acknowledge and thank Hank Hoover and Tyler Skinner for us. What a fantastic time we had and how much we appreciated how Tyler and Hank went out of their way to make sure that we had the most marvelous time, learned everything we could and made sure that we were safe and secure. From the bottom of my heart I wanted to thank everyone ….thank you all so very much Ronald Steiger and Marion Steiger. PS I am a Social Media influencer with over 20,000 followers with different groups and have just started a Bronco Group on Facebook and have over 11OO followers on it already!
Wow. All I can think is "I don't want to scratch my Bronco". That means no hairy trails for my baby. I don't think my Big Bend could handle that anyway.
Holy shit that drop 😱
😂👀yep
Very impressed, did they make it down white knuckle too?
We turned around there we had a tight schedule that day
I never wheel with the spare on the rear door, otherwise cool Bronco video.
Chase, did you take your Wildtrak over the drop-off obstacle? I was hoping to see it... I just picked up my Area 51 Wildtrak (hoss3) a few days ago... I'm new to your channel... Thanks!
No I didn’t but I will go back early 2023 to drop into it😉
Congrats on the bronco btw great color choice!
Nice! Out of curiosity, is there a bypass for High Dive?
Yes there is
Back in the day we went up high dive.... for fun
How is the visibility in the broncos? I’m coming from a two door Jk without doors or fenders. Are the steering components made beefy enough to withstand torture?
Visibility is good actually. Steering components are fine if left stock. If you go bigger tire/ lift like wrangler you’ll need to beef up.
Just wondering at 19:28 where you got that bronco flat bill hat. I work for ford In Kentucky and I am waiting on my bronco to come in. Thx for any info. Craig
That one came from the offroadeo location there in Moab
Sweet. Thx you
Did you not do the big drop in obstacle towards the end?
Nope lol 😂
Charlie the Dog was looking for the dog that you ran over lol when You BARKED the tire At 21:24 🐕 23:53
👍
What are the wet marks from at 29:30? Did a cooler line get taken out?
Windshield washer fluid 🤣
Was the Bronco off Rodeo with you guys? One more, what did you air down to?
Yes and 18psi
The Wildtrak (I have one also) seemed more concise than the Badlands, however it does not have the sway bar disconnect. Did you have any issues because of that? From the video it looks like the Badlands struggled a bit more...though it could also be driver experience.
I’ll leave that up for interruption 🤷♂️😂
The “wild track more concise” or 🤔could it be another driver with the magic touch ?
@@JoseP-hj5zo 🙊😎 a good driver can make all the difference 🤙🏻
Whatever you do...Don't air down. You would have to put air back in for highway driving. In fact it is best just to keep 60 PSI in all your tires.
What!? 🧐 lol I’m so confused if your serious or not
Was wondering why they weren't aired down as well
@@whiskyngeets they all were aired down to 20
@@ChaseGentry That is not enough. 7-10. And that is hard to believe that given the video footage.
@@nearkolob yes 7-10 is obviously better. 20 psi does well too.
29:33 did the 2-door try the drop too? or take a bypass? Asking for a 2-door owner
Took the bypass for sure
We are proud of her
You guys ever try the trail cruise on any of this?
I’ve used it a couple times I find I like doing it ol school most the time though
27:35 Cringe-worthy!! That vehicle could have rolled 3 different ways!! Outstanding spotting and momentum control...very worthy video. :)
Did Shelby's 2 door make it down the ledge?
No we opted not to run hers down it
Any idea what PSI they were running in their tires? They seem pretty highly inflated for that kind of obstacle (from my completely untrained 100% novice perspective). Would airing down more have helped make that gatekeeper a little easier?
We were all at 20-25 psi. 100% yes airing down to about 16-18 would be ideal however 16psi is risky to pop a bead with beadlock wheels. We also were all over Moab that day so 20psi we don’t air up for the whole day keeping speeds at 60 mph back and forth
@@ChaseGentry Thanks for the info! I just got my Bronco, and I’m trying to educate myself as much as possible.
@@zschilleci No problem! you should sign up for one of the Bronco Offroadeo Locations. It’s an Amazon experience and so much valuable information is shared to help eager and learning new bronco owners!
Even from the perspective of a 55-year offroad vet with 20 years in the tire business, I could hear that their tires were over inflated. Now the old Jeep I drove is lighter, but I would run 4-5 psi on trails near Moab when I lived in the area. Never had a bead come off, ever.
"Hold on! Get some pictures! How do you feel?" "I need new underpants."
😂😂😂😂🍿🤭
"It was just the receiver". Well don't F'ing tow anything!!! lol.
In what goat mode you doing rocks climbing?
Actually not in any modes in this video just 4 low and I’ll cycle the lockers when I need them
What air pressures was everyone running?
20psi
I'm assuming you guys don't lease your new Bronco's............😎
SUPER JAZDA
Looks like that jk did the best. 😆 🤣. But we won't hold that against him.
I would hope so … nothing on it is stock but we won’t hold it against him for that either 🤣
@@ChaseGentry truthfully every time I'm out with Broncos and Toyota and we are all similar built. Our gladiator puts them to shame. And just to see of its driver. I even let my inexperienced wife against them. And she kicks butt every time. In fact she is in a trail militia KZhead. There was some heavy editing for the Toyota guys in that video. We are the white gladiator loaded up. And a friends Bronco electronics blew up. He is a stock Bronco. Ford charged him 2500 to replace it. Not a very good warranty. 😕. I'm just a simple camping guy who like to have a rig go to perfect spots and get me home. I love all types of 4x4s.
Which 3 modles are here- badlands,.wildtrack and?
2 Wildtraks and a Badlands
@@SDunsmore444 interesting how the outerbanks will work
Was she working the course at Overland Expo Flagstaff in 2022?
Yep lol
@@ChaseGentry Cool, she was my instructor.
my anxiety when watching this lol
😂😂
Good video but you guys really need to secure your coolers and dogs when you are wheeling.
Man, 14:30 looked hella sketchy to me. She did a good job handling it.
#GiveittheBeans
😂😂😂😂
Me. Runs over a stone in the parking lot; panics.
😂 they’ll do A LOT more than that!
Great video. Thanks for stopping all the "bro" crap in your videos. Just continue to be yourself.
👍🏻
I ain’t gonna be doing that in my bronco!
😝😂
Chase where did you get the hat and t-shirt and which sunglasses are those?
Hat and T shirt got them both from the Moab offroadeo the shade are Oakleys I cat remember the actual model name but I love them!
Why not show the 2 door going down and up the last obstacle 🙄
Two door didn’t do it
Wheels roll forward not sideways !!! lol
'em broncos could use some better tires... or at least less air on those tires
Seems like the Jeep did these trails with more ease!
Lol 40s / solid axle/ long arm suspension… I’d hope $20k+ in aftermarket it would too… compared to off the lot broncos 🤣
I’m going to file this under trails that I “hard pass.”
😝 it’s definitely a challenging one!
The Bronc's look better as 2 drs
What do these guys do to be able to afford these?? That is the real question
Social media. You watching / supporting/ subscribing, following on Instagram/ etc. also I’m an ambassador for Ford too so there’s that 🙏
@@ChaseGentry sweet! Thanks for sharing! Keep on having fun out there
*I miss the days where we went wheeling without cameras at every foot of the trail. We were out for fun without considering entertaining a bunch of strangers*
🙄👈🏽
Why watching?
I actually agree. However this literally has turned from hobby w/ no camera to an actual career for me. So due to the nature of things seems a camera is necessary to showcase all the new offerings both vehicular and accessory so all the guys who still do it without a camera have better and better stuff to have more and more fun with. Thus hopefully creating a more enjoyable and adventurous trail experience for everyone with the latest and greatest gear.
Thanks for watching btw 🙏
@@ChaseGentry This is actually a service, you’re exposing guys like me who don’t do it but are interested in doing it………..guy at work is big into it and I’ve been watching so I can know a lil about it before I go out there for the first time and not look like a idiot because I don’t know shit about it😆. 🤷🏽♂️
Gotta wonder what kinda damage they are doing. Still insane.
Not a off-roader, can’t imagine why someone would take there nice vehicle into a place like that?
Same reason people fish, hunt, mountain bike, paint, everyone has their hobbies! What’s yours?

😂 what are you supposed to do have a $60,000 piece of yard art or what?
Their time and money...rock crawling and friends, priceless.
I am amazed at how bad some of these drivers are, sorry but come on they have no idea how to pick a line, nor understand momentum or the trucks positives nor negatives. Mind you these people are not as bad as some I have been watching today, I am no expert but I could drive circles around most of these people, unless they are trying to make it look harder than it is. Try Steel Bender in Moab.... I drive a stock truck!
Man, these people who bought guitars and joined the music workshop to learn to play really suck compared us older more experience musicians. Meh, n00bs. Who wants more people enjoying OUR hobby. We are so much better.
Everyone has to start somewhere, even you were a noob before. They are our there learning and some day might drive circles around you. The thing that really makes me want to scream is when the spotters don't know what they are doing, especially if they are vets.
Marmot sponsoring off road vehicles is so hypocritical lol. They actively support the conservation alliance which is trying to close trails.
