Very informative video. Lots of information that we could actually use. I'm currently in the process breaking into cloud part of IT myself. I currently do help desk/desktop support, but I do actually have to build HVDs and VDIs. I also have to manage them at a very low level, but I look at it as good experience since I didnt know how to do this before. I began studying the CompTIA Cloud essentials a month ago, really good stuff in there for cloud beginners like me. Gonna have a look at your other videos :)
Amazing great experience, best of luck as you make the switch🤩☁️
May I know where do you study the CompTIA?

Great video. I’m currently doing the Google Cybersecurity program, but I know it’s hard to break directly in to that field, so this gives me ideas of where to go next.
Amazing 🤩

Hi Caleb, I notice in a lot of the job descriptions in my region (South Africa) require experience (3-5 years) and sometimes a degree in Computer Science. What can you suggest to break into cloud with such obstacles?
Do projects, certifications and labs that can be represented on a cv! And discussed in an interview 🤩🙏🏾👌🏾 and look to get an it support role to start your journey 💯🔥
Google Foundational cert is the Digital Leader
I am at step seven. I have a project, and I am preparing for my aws solutions architect associate exams. I've also been searching for entry-level jobs. Hopefully, something positive will come soon
I know you will reach your goals this year my friend 🤩🙏🏾 keep grinding 💯🔥
@caleboni.certified thanks bro.
All the best
How long have you been looking
@stacknsat since last October. However, I asked a friend working at AWS how I can come in for Cloud Engineering or Architect positions. She said most people applying for those positions are Phds and Masters in Computer science or related degrees. Those are the competition.
Is it possible to break into cloud (any cloud role) without first working as a network or system admin/engineer ?
Looking forward to learn cloud engineering any recommendation ?
I am a Tech Support Engineer (sadly) and passed the AZ-900, AI-900 and DP-900. However, I have forgotten what I learned and want to revisit that stuff. The only problem is that I always end up racking up a huge bill when I do anything on Azure. Is it possible to get access for free?
Have you already used the azure trial of 200 credits?

Devops can be a stepping stone to cloud jobs? Isint that like not being able to find a ui/ux job and then just becoming a fullstack developer? Doesn't seem so easy
This guy went to university and had plenty of technology (relevant) experience before becoming a cloud engineer. Its not an entry level job. It would be helpful to do help desk intern or even unpaid internships considering the job market, while pursuing your certifications and work your way up.
I keep reading blog posts/forums saying the tech job market is oversaturated and it not worth doing now? What do you think? Especially for someone with a zero tech background.
I disagree completely! Yes there are many people in tech but it’s still a growing industry that continues to have many openings and is still the future! So it’s definitely worth it and it’s also an industry that has may paths to get into it even with no background! 💁🏾♂️ hope that answers your question! Let me know your thoughts 💭 😁
Interesting to hear from someone in the UK, whats the salary been like in your experience?
Yessss! 🇬🇧 🔥 it’s good bro I don’t compare it to America Lool but for the uk it’s great pay!
Hey man, what would help is if you told us, who are the types of recruiters who are usualy on the hunt for cloud engineers. I need to start making friends with these right away. I also recommend most of you do this
would you like to learn more about Cloud, AI and Deveops. Kindly share your email id - will send you the details.
Bro are there jobs in cloud iam from india and company ask web dev or mern experience and after that cloud
Hey Caleb, quick question. I’m wanting to be a cloud engineer starting from 0 CS background. Should I do all the basic comptia courses first or just jump right into cloud courses?
If really at zero I’d start with Comptia a+
I recently lost job in automotive as profesional maitance and currently looking for something new. Cloud enginering really took my intrest. Wish me luck guys. Cuz i am going to engineer hell out of this clouds
Best of luck on your journey my friend 💯🤩
Do you know if most cloud jobs are fully remote? I'm tryna break into tech and I'm having some trouble deciding between data engineering vs cloud engineering. They both seem super cool. just discovered ur channel and I hope you pop off bro
Thanks so much! 😁Nice, yeah they’re both great careers! There are many remote roles within cloud my previous role was fully remote it my current role is hybrid (2 days in office) It’s definitely a career that you don’t need to be in an office to do and where you’re working from makes no difference 😂 Hope that’s helpful 😄
This is me. Im about writing my AWS SAA cert exam. Still this was very useful. I'm so subscribing. How'd I find you on Twitter?
Glad it was helpful! Thanks so much I’m not on twitter 😅
@@caleboni.certified It'd be nice if you joined. I passed my AWS SAA exam by the way
Do you think a beginner should get the A+ & Network+ certs first?
Good q, yeah I'd say start with A+ as that is what I did!
India ❤
🤩🤩
How to get free voucher for Aws or Azure
How to become azure administrator and what is roadmap( which certification i need to learn )? I have completed az900 after that what i have to learn?!
AZ-104 for sure and projects/labs 💯
I know about the AZ-900 and the certificates after that but I was looking around and found SC-900, do you recommend getting both AZ-900 and SC-900?
I have both but I wouldn’t really recommend getting both. It depends on what you want to do or the role you want to get but I’d say go for an azure associate certification next as they are much more valued
I'm base in UK and where can I take Cloud Engineer course and lean as a beginner. Thanks
would you like to learn more about Cloud, AI and Deveops. Kindly share your email id - will send you the details.
Is it worth learning Azure for a data/business analysis job? I want to add value to my profile because Excel , Power BI, Python and SQL don't seem to be enough to land an interview...
Well I don’t know much about data analysis roles or BA, but I’d suggest looking at data job descriptions of roles in your area and seeing what skills they are looking for then focusing on those things! If azure is amongst them then there you go 👌🏾
I will be working in the Cloud in 2024.
Amazing! 🤩
Can you do a video applying to a company and doing the interview
Thanks for this video idea , potentially! I’ll add it to the list for future videos and see what I can do! I may not be able to do an actual interview live because of privacy but I can do a video on interviewing as it seems in high demand
I have one question, can you skip cloud pract and go for solution architect instead? and do labs, workshops?
You can definitely do so, cloud practitioner is just a really good foundation if you’re confident to go ahead without that foundation then why not go straight to solutions architect
Hello Caleb, Is a degree needed to work in somewhere like AWS as a Cloud support engineer?
I’m not sure tbh,🤔 what does the AWS job descriptions say?
Do you need security plus for cloud engineering or is that only for cyber security.
I would never say you “neeeeeeeed” but would it be helpful to have that on your job application? Perhaps 🤩👌🏾🔥
hello bro thanks for this video my uncle want to get an exam for this course for me and i have no idea about it. so he sent this link to student the full course but i need a lower understanding before i can come to the level of that course that is AWS course
Check the videos in the description that say what cloud computing is! 👌🏾
I have IT background whatsoever but i wanna learn cloud or DevOps engineering.... Is that possible
Course careers has devops engineer course.
So what does the technical interview look like? Do you still have to be able to do DS&A and coding problems? Can I get by just in JavaScript? What languages do you think I should be proficient in for a job like this?
Python, Shell script, Bash ( Python Recommand)
You've given me 4 video ideas in one comment!
Is there any non IT background resume template?
I’m sure there are I’m yet to creat one but search on KZhead and let me know if you get a good one 🤩💯🙏🏾
At 7:30 did you say “poweshell?” Sorry I’m all new to this
No worries, yes powershell it’s basically a scripting language and command line interface. That is used with Azure and windows devices! 😁
@@caleboni.certified can you do any of this stuff with Mac or no? Just kinda looking for another stream of income while also continuing real estate
Is it possible to make $2kish a month with these 3 options? Looking for something to do on the side as I am a realtor.
Definitely can make a lot in cloud I’m not sure what that looks like on the side however! 🤔
Linux has to be the foundation and also git. I recommend AWS before Azure. If you truly can get proficient in Linux/cloud/git/python or GO then within 2 to 5 years you will be making over 100k US. There aren’t that many great techs out there
Thanks for sharing!
@@caleboni.certified Sure no problem. I was a sysadmin then DevOps over the last decade and now I manage(and hire) engineers. Skills before certifications and degrees. The secret is as a junior engineer, you will probably need to job hop twice to reach 100k US. Staying at one place kind of limits your earnings unfortunately.
So true the job hop effect is real!!!
Please I'm now diving in, can you be my Mentor?
Do i need a degree for this
Hi Caled, I know you are preparing right now for AZ-500 certification, I am also preparing for this exam in order to take it by the end of the year. what resources do you recommand (Udemy course? Exam Quiz? ...)
Hahaaaa nice!!!! We’re in the same boat I’m just figuring it out atm I’m looking at a course on plurasight which is provided for free by my company but I may end up going for something on udemy I’m not sure just yet! Have you found any good resources you can share yet? 👀😄
Thanks Caled, I've just started revising some notes from AZ-104 and I've been reading on MS Learn but someone told me that Alan Rodrigues' AZ-500 course on Udemu is good but I haven't bought it yet.
Nice I’ll look at some reviews for that I actually also heard about his course 👌🏾
@moudeytoure2347 Alan Rodriguez is one of the best sources out there. I have AZ-400, AZ-305 from him. I am thinking of getting AZ-500 from him as well on Udemy, but l am not 100% sure.
Thanks 👍 @@codetrend544
How to do projects without cloud environment?
You can get free trial from Azure
Good day bro I’m making a decision to start my clouding engineer journey , I have a lot stuff I’m going through and believe this career opportunity will change my life for Good . Please I need a mentor on this journey. Please can you be my mentor? I really need help
Which should you get first? AZ-104 or SAA CO3?
That depends on you! Are you focusing on azure or AWS?
Thank you 🫡
👌😁
Are there channels that teach cloud computing on yt?.
Yeah for azure check out - John savil!
@@caleboni.certified thank you 🙏🏾
You didnt link the video explaining why u picked azure
Thanks for letting me know! It’s there now 🙏🏾
Cloud certifications are worthless if you don’t have experience building projects. Create a project portfolio ONLY then get certs.
i have a question about cloud Caleb how can i reach you
Send me a LinkedIn request with a note, link in the description
The same here😢
Is cloud security engineer and cloud engineer is same?
Cloud security engineers will have a focus on security within cloud! And cloud engineer is a much broader term that could refer to many different areas of cloud ☁️
Can you suggest any platform I can start studying for free
Absolutely! KZhead!!!! 🤩🤩
In a scenario where i'm currently an IT consultant who wants to get into cloud i presume starting with Azure fundamentals is key? I want to focus on Azure as a Cloud service.
@@RocketRift elaborate
I would say It’s only needed if you’re looking to start from the very bottom! If you already have basic understanding of azure there’s probably no need 💁🏾♂️
@@caleboni.certified what would you recommend for someone in my position? I'd like to get into maybe a role that allows me to get closer to Cloud engineer. Maybe like a Sys Admin role.
@@Swiiss63 I would say if Sys Admin is the area your going for the do begin looking at the AZ-104 cert, do AZ-900 beforehand(if needed) then get an azure trial account and start some projects, create some VM's, do some labs related to AZ-104 and make sure this is well represented in your CV!
Im completed diploma in non IT but i don't have degree can become cloud engineer
Of course my friend there are many cloud engineers with no degree at all! It just takes extra work and effort! 🙏🏾🤩💪🏾
