Are you ready to make the BEST EVER ANZAC BISCUITS RECIPE?!
Learn how to make chewy Anzac Biscuits step by step with this 'how to' video.
Anzac Day is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand, as we pay tribute to those who have served for our countries!
As a tradition, we bake Anzac cookies and these are made up of oaty, buttery, delicious goodness. The recipe also allows for chewy or crunchy Anzac biscuits. I made my biscuits nice and large - they came out of the oven as big as your face!!
Lest we forget our heros!
INGREDIENTS:
125g (1 cup) all purpose flour
100g (1 cup) rolled oats
50g (3/4 cup) shredded coconut
100g (3/4 cup) brown sugar
120g butter
2 tbsp golden syrup
2 tbsp hot water
1 tsp bi-carb soda
Rock salt for sprinkling

    @barbarahenry9231@barbarahenry92312 жыл бұрын
    • Hi Barbara 🙂 thank you! Golden syrup in Australia is a thick, amber coloured form of partially inverted sugar syrup. It’s like a cross between honey and maple syrup! Depending on where you live, some substitutes are honey, cane syrup and brown rice syrup ☺️ hope that helps! X PS hope you can make the biccies, they are delish 😋

    @agnestong7853@agnestong78533 жыл бұрын
    • Hi Agnes! Yes you can. You could substitute that quantity for your favourite ground nuts, dried fruits or just top up with a bit more of the oats 😊

  • Why are you using American language when making our Australian national biscuit. We use plain flour not all purpose flour and we do not bake cookies we bake biscuits.

    • My training as a baker was in Canada so I guess I have a hybrid style as I use terminology from my time living there... it was engrained in me! It's also why I say parchment paper instead of baking paper! Potito, potato...
