D'Artagnan "The Staring Cat" has finally understood that I'm trying to help him! And he has forgiven me for all those vet visits :)
My contact email address: waltersantindy@gmail.com
Our second channel: / feedandtravel
Our Instagram page: / waltersantindy
About Our Channel:
This channel is about the daily lives and adventures of my three indoor cats Santi, Indy & Chewie and our 12 outdoor cats and my dog Walter.
Our outdoor cats are living in our garden and their names are D'Artagnan, The Rolling Cat, The Purring Cat, D'Artagnan's Girlfriend, Porthos, Zoom, Ruzgar, Junior, The Mom Cat, The Big Head and Pamuk Jr. We also have Pamuk who is our neighbor's cat but always hangs out here.
If you are a new visitor to our channel, I suggest that you watch the two playlists called "All The Videos of Our Outdoor Cats (In Order)" and "All The Videos of My Indoor Cats (In Order)" first.
Apart from the videos of our cats, from time to time I also upload videos of other animals I come across.
So basically, what you'll find here are lots of funny and cute cat videos, an ongoing miniseries about a cat love drama, sometimes rescue stories and always a whole lot of meowing! Enjoy!

  • Hi everyone. This video is the continuation of D'Art's previous video. ( kzhead.info/sun/aaqjYsZpg3-NjYk/bejne.html ) I was actually preparing the video of the 'pregnant' stray cat who followed us for 1 month but it was taking longer than expected so I wanted to give you a quick update on D'Art and Porthos before that. By the way I saw that some of our subscribers asked what it was that we were calling D'Artagnan in our videos. We call him "Dartiş" in Turkish and I guess it can be pronounced as "Dartish" but I may be mistaken. It doesn't have any specific meaning in Turkish, it's just a way of shortening the word "Dartanyan" in a cute way. As for Porthos; he normally never lets us pet him or touch him but I can usually succeed at holding him from the neck for one or two seconds once a month while I apply the spot on medication for external parasites. But he would never let me open his mouth so that's why we couldn't catch this situation sooner. And from now on I will try to upload more frequently! Take care! Merhabalar. Bu video Dartiş'in önceki videosunun devamı niteliğinde.

    • So glad u have shed more light on D’art and Porthos. Porthos has seemed to be one of the more aggressive cats in the family. I guess he has been misunderstood, as any of us can easily misunderstood. Regarding D’art, he has not understood ur caring motives in the past. So glad he realizes it now. It broke my heart to see him wasting away...

    • @@CL-mp4vn Don't worry, they'll trust you eventually. It took me 10 months of feeding a feral cat every single day, 2xs a day, to be able to sit down 5-6 feet away from her while she eats. She'll let me place the food down 3 feet away from her, but I have to step back at little before she starts eating. She used to run away if I got within 15 feet of her haha. I need to trap her to get her spayed, but I'm scared it'll ruin the trust that we've built up so far :(

  • He absolutely realized the shots were helping him to feel a lot better! I had a wonderful cat who died of cancer 8 years ago. He was always a very bad patient for routine checkups. He was a different cat at the specialist. He stayed very still for X-rays and was very receptive for his chemo. He knew he was sick and wanted more than anything to get better. He tried so hard and with such dignity, and he was so distraught when his treatment didn’t work and he went downhill. Both of our hearts were absolutely broken when his body lost the fight though his spirit never gave up.

  • You are the kindest person in the world to help those beautiful cats. The cat carrier I have is a top-loading one. It’s easier to drop a cat into the top and close the lid than to try and get them through a little doorway.

    • l agree, l love the top opening carriers. But, if kitty is small you can put the door style carry case on its end and load a small cat through the door as it is pointing upwards.

      @TraceyMush@TraceyMush3 жыл бұрын
    • @@TraceyMush agree Tracey! I have a couple of cats that go psycho when you need to put them in the carrier for a vet trip. Their position as you load them is not to their advantage to be able to escape easily.

    • My older cat you often have to flip him upside down and then lower him into the top-door of the carrier so he can't grab onto it. I think it's mostly because he hates being outside, he's fine once we get in the car and start driving.

      @GamePlague@GamePlague3 жыл бұрын
    • I recently got a new carrier before a vet trip. I added an old towel/pillowcase that smelled like me and the cat, and fed the cat treats inside the carrier. My cat is food-motivated, so by the end of a weekend, she was begging for/demanding treats by the carrier. After the vet visit, she was a bit wary of going into the carrier again, but she would still sniff it for treats. I hope to use this trick again in the future.

      @kiwin7119@kiwin71193 жыл бұрын
    • But , in time, d'Art goes in the door of the carrier quite willingly by himself. I don't think d'Art would jump in through the open top. Otherwise Mr Santi, as he tells us, has a fight to capture him. Not good for cats or humans!

That one time when he was looking at you with those big, beautiful eyes, it was like he was asking you, "do you want me to get in the carrier"? "Okay, will do." My FIV positive cat who had to go to the vet frequently never came to that understanding. But I understood. A trip to the vet is never fun. I think D'Art loves you and knows that you care.
