Should Hamas agree to the hostage deal? Well, from their view point not until the occupation and Palestinian rights question is addressed. Otherwise, what the point. Israel should commit to end occupation and agree to a two state solution. Then there will be peace. Who does not want a permanent peace deal?

I'm a little confused here. An occupation is when one country militarily occupies another country, like Germany's occupation of France or Poland during WW2. If you're going back 75 years, you're saying in effect the entire state of Israel is an occupation. How can Israel be occupying itself? That's like saying the United States is occupying the United States. Can you explain that? Israel has nine million citizens, including two million Arab Muslims. Do they consider themselves to be "brutally occupied"? If you're talking about Gaza, Israel ended its occupation of Gazs 18 years ago. So what exactly is being "occupied"?
