They have a track record of doing just that. If this hadn't been publicized on the news they probably would have attempted to charge the young man doing what needed to be done. Indiana is a red state; Indianapolis is NOT a red city.

    • The kid was almost certainly able to hold the perp down by using moves he learned in wrestling. To law enforcement "restraining" a perp means getting his or her hands cuffed behind their back WITHOUT doing serious physical harm to the perp. The probability that this good kid would have been able to do that by himself is very close to zero.
