My First Encounter With Taliban In Mazar-i-Sharif, Afghanistan 🇦🇫

2023 ж. 29 Там.
409 034 Рет қаралды

We arrived at Mazar-i-Sharif in Afghanistan after over 6 hours of drive and a few stops. We will spend the night here. As soon as we arrived in the big city, my goal was to get a local dress to blend in with the people much better. So we started the evening searching for a tailor who could make the local dress for me as soon as possible. As you can see from the video, everyone has been super welcoming and supportive to help us to make it happen. Before the video ends, you will see my first encounter with Taliban fighters and our short communication.

    • Another great video. I didn't see anything suspicious about the young guy who helped you find a store and gave you a drink. Since you're not familiar with Afghan culture, this might have seemed strange. But in Afghan culture, it's normal for people to pay for your food, invite you to their homes even if they just met you, and offer help even if you say no at first. Cheers

  • Very interesting. I’m Puerto Rican but born and raised in America. I always see on American television and it seemed as if people in Afghanistan lived in desert or in very very bad conditions. It’s an eye open and with a smile I can see they live normal conditions and they are welcoming and nice. I can only think that they did not like when the Americans occupied there because i know for a fact that Americans would not want another country occupying here. God bless the people of Afghanistan and world wide

Name: Masjid pyada. It is called the first masjid of Afghanistan. You will be surprised to see it. Do visit Nurestan region. The switzerland of Afghanistan.

Most travelers just say everything is nice to be polite lol - my wife and I wait eagerly for more videos. We’re Afghan and love the content! Afghan culture is very different from the rest of the world, seeing it raw from a foreigner like this is awesome.

  • That was very enjoyable seeing you were able to communicate much more easily in some cases in Turkish. I was also slightly pleased that you were mistakenly taken near to where women buy their everyday clothing as I had never seen which shops are available for women's clothing. Great videos from Afghanistan.
