  • 🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 00:14 *🧠 Organizing takedowns into quadrants* - Organizing takedowns into four quadrants (vertical and horizontal). - Pairing takedowns strategically for chaining and flow. - Importance of dominant underhook placement for chaining takedowns. 02:18 *🤼‍♂️ Pairing takedowns and focusing on opposites* - Never focusing solely on one takedown; pair with its opposite for increased effectiveness. - Front headlock as a versatile pairing option for various takedowns. - Mental shift from singular focus to pairing takedowns for quicker success. 04:13 *🤸‍♀️ Importance of inside and outside position on feet* - Inside and outside positions are equally valuable on the feet. - Wide rangeof offense available from outside position. - Need for awareness and calmness in both inside and outside positions during stand-up. • This is the best video for takedowns in BJJ I've seen You can find millions of videos of technique but very hard to find videos on the strategy and reasoning of when to use your techniques. It's this deeper level of understanding that can allow someone who doesn't have a wrestling background to really train takedowns effectively.

  • One question then. What are the opposites to a single leg, what are the opposites to a double leg, and to an ankle pick, high crotch and how do I find what are those opposites. And how do we tie them together…

    • Fake a duck to the opposite side 👀 OR one of my favs is to fake a swing single to the opposite side-don't overcommit on the fake though, just reach out and tap their far leg then hit your duck under 🏆

  • How about something about bjj not being a pure system, but an electric system that's always growing? There is not much in common with its roots being just judo to adding catch and more and more wrestling . It's called"bjj" but it's a variety of techniques taken from several grappling systems/styles and then attributed as bjj
