    • There’s a theory that foreman was drugged, there’s another theory that Ali had a mole who was one of foreman’s cornermen who was instructed to mislead him. (These are just theories but one of foreman’s cornerman I recall ended up switching to Ali’s team after the fight so). There’s a lot of theories to explain why foreman just wasn’t fighting like the foreman “we know” but it’s more likely revolving around his conditioning. Since he hadn’t had a fight go past 3 rounds in like 3 years. It’s likely that had something to do with it.

In foreman’s youth(not his prime, as he quit boxing before his prime), he was taking on legends and breaking them. In this era, they’d have done him like GGG and never given him a fight against any champions until the big money guys retired.

  • Foreman is such an anomaly because even for a 6'3 man his hands, forearms and skull are massive. Similar to Liston his proportions are insane.

  • George had no class no style. But he had that punch

    • @@ravagesovereign6701exactly this casual has no clue. If it was just the punch Ernie shavers would be the goat and wilder would be the champion right now. Those guys had no style just heavy hands. George had a thunderous power jab that was like a telephone pole hitting you. He stopped so many in their tracks as they advanced. To pull that off he had great timing just watch fraizers swarming style bobbing and weaving failing to make it inside to deal any damage. But old George actually had tactics along with style. Like he said against moorer he continued to punch his punches ever so slightly as the fight went on to give the illusion of gassing out. The proud moorer didn’t run like Morrison/Holyfield but instead looked for the KO of big georgie. George unleashed his powerful 1-2 and became the oldest heavyweight champ. Him winning was like Joe Montana coming back to the nfl to win a superbowl…basically impossible 😂
