my struggle with overthinking

comment topics you want me to talk about!! 💛
i've always been someone that tends to overthink. since my car accident 4 months ago, it's gotten a lot worse. most of you say i come off as really strong, but honestly it's really been a struggle to believe it and live it out. however, i think i'm in a much better mindset now and am ready to start talking more about my mental journey!
CHLOE'S VIDEO: • #CeritaChloe: Resilien...
here's a playlist with all my recovery progress videos: • Disabled Diaries
i want to start this new series, probably titled "literally br(ok)en" or 'temporarily broken', comment any other ideas or if you like those! here's how i plan on doing it: tell my story in regards to the topic of the video, compare what i felt & how i reacted in the beginning, with how i feel about it now. and then try to outline why i think the changes happened, and point out anything important i’ve learned and now believe in. then acknowledge the areas that i still struggle with processing & dealing with. then hopefully people can feel comfortable to leave a comment about what they have to say about the topic. or everyone can respond to each other’s comments as well if there’s any confusion, or just to give affirmation. THE POINT IS: so when strangers who are looking for answers or looking for comfort, stumble upon my video, they’re met with a forum of people offering their take. and maybe it will help them or at least make them feel less alone!
if you know me in real life or you wish to contribute - PLEASE MESSAGE ME! I'd love to have discussions with you & learn from you before I film about a certain topic! also, it'd mean a lot if you could share this video with your friends 💛
thank you so much for your support!
love, rae.

  • This is one of the most emotional and serious video of Rachel I've seen omg. God bless you and stayyy strongg !! That quote where you said "life is fair because life is unfair to everyone" hit me deep. Overthinking honestly kills tbh, but sometimes you really just gotta fight those thoughts off and it may sound really hard, but it's possible. Sometimes I like to think to myself that everything happens for a reason and it moulds you into the person you are today and everyday is a challenge. There is always a negative side for everything, but sometimes you have to search for the positive side to see it. I also like to think that some things are the challenges that God has given us with to see which paths in life we are going to choose. Life can be so simple and beautiful, but also so complicated and painful. Yikes, it really be like that sometimes xD Keep it up Rachel !! 💙💙💙💙💙

  • Hey this was really great! It's strange how I can relate to your thoughts when over thinking even though nothing like this has happened to me. I just want to tell you to stay strong. And every time you have these kinds of nights, tell yourself that those are normal thoughts. They help you heal. That you should be okay with having those thoughts. (that helps me when I'm over thinking) I love you and your channel a lot a lot (it kind of makes me sad that you don't have more subscribers because of how aesthetic and amazing your videos are). But, I'm sure that one day all of a sudden your channel is gonna blow up, I have that feeling lol ❤💞💕

If the car accident didn’t happen imagine what else could have happened? If you didn’t get in the car crash, something would still go wrong either if it was small or big. • Hi Rachel, this is a very thoughtful, exceptional video. You are amazing. I think before a major trauma we think we know and can control our future. When something happens, we maybe see that isn't the case, start to feel alone, and think maybe no one can relate...Again, such a great video.

    • @@RachelNielsen And thank you so much for sharing, especially this part of the recovery. I am looking forward to more thoughtful videos. Staying strong is important, and I know people tend to say it a lot, but knowing that you are not experiencing something that is isolated or in isolation, I think, is so much more important. Maybe you can turn the videos into a book...that would be amazing, and even talk about goals. I don't think there's enough written, fiction or even creative writing, about recovering from traumas. And maybe off topic, but I think it is connected, is the issue of dreams. I remember I used to have what I call 'broken leg dreams'...I should have written down details... All the best, Rachel!

  • This will be a great series and it will help so many people. It's ok to see a therapist to get you through this. My auntie children went therapy for their mother after she passed away from her accident like this. This help them so much because their grief had them spilling out of control. Your family can help but a mental therapy can help you with so much more. Love you girl and stay strong

  • Thank you for opening up. Some of us have gone through the same struggle or have a different story. I’ve definitely gone through the same thing with bullying and suicide. And the question has always been “why me?”, Why was I born with a learning disability, what if I majored in economics? my parents would’ve been more proud of me. Why is it that no matter how hard I try, it doesn’t reflect on my grades? Life isnt perfect, bad things can happen very unexpectedly and only you have control of how you could react to this. You have the choice to go through it, or go around it and still have to deal with it later in life. Your actions can also be based on your beliefs, some people may have different ways to deal with this, some people discover things and it helped them cope with anxiety. Everyone has different ways to deal with this. I’ve dealt it through discovering ice hockey, and constantly drawing every single day, even if my teachers hated me for it. At the end, I turned my leisure into my career. Lesson for anyone is to know that YOU ARE LOVED and YOU ARE NOT ALONE! Talk to someone if you need help. If you need help adjusting, I’m here to help. Stay strong, you’ll get there and you’ll look back at how far you’ve gone.

  • So this is the story of my brothers accident *if you don't wanna read keep scrolling* 😁😁 My brother use to be a really calm person. He was about 5 when this accident happened and I was a year older than him. We were outside in front of my neighbors next door playing with a girl. My brother decided to come play with us. He had an idea of making kites. YES I REMEMBER THT. After a while of making kites. (That didn't work at all, they were paper and string btw) My friend's dad finally arrived. He was with he's car like always outside waiting for us to move out of the way to put his car in the garage. After he put his car in the garage we went to our spot right where we where before. (In front of the garage) I heard a voice from my house saying move. I look back to where the garage is and I see my friend's dad's car moving towards us. I quickly reflected and so did my friend but my brother just stood there. It all happend so quickly I didn't even know what to do but I soon realize that my brother was under the car. My grandfather and my stepfather help moved the car. Everyone was really shocked that day. He is alive now thanks to God. I'm grateful for how we have him in our meals every day alive. He is now 11 years old and he still has scars from the accident. I like telling this story to people so that they know that miracles do happend. It happend to you to my brothers and to me. Also thank you so so so much for reading 🙂 P.S. share this message if you feel like it
