A significant portion of headaches and migraines is related to the neck. This is because there are joints attaching from your neck to your head and also 9 neck muscles that attach directly to your head. Migraines and headaches are still not very well understood.
Here, I hope to demystify the concept of migraines and headaches and show to you that it indeed can be coming from your neck, shoulders and upper back not working well in unison.
Use this video as a reference guide to assess how well your neck, shoulders and thoracic spine are working. You should be able to get a pretty accurate picture of where your movement is limited. The majority of headache sufferers have at least one or two of these areas moving poorly.
We will follow up how to address these impairments in the next video.

  • My numbers rotation close to full about 80 degrees; a little bit stiff feeling in (R) upper traps in both direction, Flexion and extension were good (85 degrees each) LF : were poor both sides 40 degrees. Therefore likely poor upper traps, lev scap, scalene muscle length. A solution may be to stretch these muscles particularly on (R) side. Comment your values below
