Well I had my hotel in Puerto de la Cruz and I was like 10 minutes away from this Loro Park. I went there. Entire zoo is amazing and I believe that 90~% of smaller animals actually live in a safe "sanctuary" with infinite food and vet help but after all I went to the orca show and now I have a guilty conscience. They have really good PR, they probably follow all accusations on the internet and everything is staged at the beginning of the show to make people feel like this is the best place for orcas on this planet so when they release them everyone is happy. There's even short animated movie with Morgan showing how she almost died in the ocean due to the poachers, lost family , pollution etc and now she's safe in Loro. Everything is fine up until you start thinking about what's actually happening with orcas after this 15~minutes show. I was there once it was cool but for these huge animals shows are twice a day EVERYDAY. They repeat the same routing to just get food. Also this swimming pool looks huge but... orcas are not staying there after show is done. They are moved to MUCH SMALLER tanks and are basically trapped alone until next show or training. I'm sure that nobody is hurting them there but it's just a matter of trapping these huge animals in such a small pools - this is cruel.

they are housed incompatibly and the orcas sometimes torture and chase each other to exhaustion and the male orca harasses the females constantly chasing them to reproduce. morgan used to beach herself to escape. they recorded more orca attacks EVER caught on camera from watching morgan for one day. even if any of this were true. they are still being tortured from forced together where they cants escape. i don't know how people watch this and don't have their heart broken. their skin peels off from the hot sun and no relief. peae build them shade if you will not release them like you should into a REAL sancuary. no animal should live in captivity for our entertainment. "The progress and moral progress of a nation can be measured by how they treat their animals" - Ghandi please help orcas be free, helpd all animals become free, or at leasrt improve their conditions if you insist on keeping them in a prison for your entertainment. teach your children better please don't teach them to abuse nature like this.

is this seriously still going on? what the hell is wrong with people? despite countless videos of orcas displaying concerning behavior in captivity they STILL do this. Do not EVER waste your money to see these shows. Imagine being that orca, spending your entire life just circling in a tiny cage that you can barely even turn around in, only coming out to do "tricks" for the audience. Not even to mention the loud ass music they play the entire time.😐

Las orcas en libertad tienen la aleta levantada. Es muy triste tener estos animales tan bellos y grandes encerrados en piscinas hasta que mueren. En libertad recorren miles de kilómetros nadando y viven en manadas. No sé como todavía hay gente que paga por ver este crimen. Comprando una entrada contribuyen a que sigan existiendo estas cárceles para estos bellos animales. Loro Parque en Tenerife, tiene en la actualidad a cuatro orcas 😡😡😡.

Vamos a ver los animales viven mejor en el loro parque por que el loro parque les rescató de la muerte como a Morgan, si ellos se sintieran incómodos no harían ningún truco y intentarían matar a sus entrenadores pero esto es lo contrario loro parque es lo que les ayuda a vivir, les alimentan a diario, les hacen revisiones por si les pasa algo etc... Loro Parque es lo mejor para los animales en peligro de muerte

theres no way this is still legal atp, i remember a statement made by an ex seaworld worker saying imagine a world with no seaworlds? i dont get why people value seaparks so much just to go pay (at this particular park, £35 entry and for this show £61) to see abused animals do a couple tricks around a bath sized type pool lor parque especially has an awful reputation for its care towards its animals its sick that this is all just done for money

Las aletas están formadas por hueso y cartílago. Esas aletas suelen ser o pequeñas o demasiado grandes. Por lo tanto la gravedad hace que s algunas se les caiga de lado

Vertrau mir. ich beschäftige michg schon seit Jahren mit dieser Thematik und kann sagen: Von seaworld würde ich momentan eher abraten. Loro Parque ist komplett in ordnung. Es geht den Tieren gut sie sind glücklich und werden nicht für stupide Tricks sondern für Edukation in Form von natürlichen bewegungen

Der Aussage kann man nur beipflichten. Das ist in Santa Fu genauso: Es geht ihnen gut, sie sind glücklich, vor der gefährlichen Außenwelt geschützt, machen keine stupiden Tricks, sind nicht auf selbständige, anstrengende Nahrungssuche angewiesen und erfahren Edukation. Wer ein Faible für Orcashows hat, sollte unbedingt Santa Fu aufsuchen und dort gerne auch längere Zeit verweilen! You get the orca way of fun in Santa Fu!

Kshamenk and Naja should be moved here as that would give them a chance to be with their own species. Sad that Kiska and Lolita passed away. As Marineland Antibes plans to have their two orcas Keijo and Wikie to another park in Japan. As both Naja is alone at Moskvarium and Kshamenk at Mundo Marino there be room for them both at Loro Parque to be with the other orcas. Either at this park or one of the parks in Japan As the newest park Kobe Suma Sea World where they would join Stella with the other orcas Keijo and Wikie that may move there or to Port Of Nagoya Public Aquarium with Earth and Lyn., either park be good for them.

Das die Rückenflosse bei einzelnen Exemplaren nicht senkrecht steht kommt auch im offenen Meer vor und ist kein Zeichen von Unwohlsein. Woher wollen Sie das wissen? Die Tiere sind ganz und garnicht einsam - sie werden im Loro Park in einer Gruppe gehalten. Nahrungsknappheit und Hunger gibt es für Orcas höchstens in der Wildbahn, nicht aber im Loro Park, da sie dort zuverlässig mit Hering & Makrelen versorgt werden - oftmals in besserer Qualität, als denjenigen den sie in der Wildbahn erbeuten würden. Und aggresiver als unter Wildbahnbedingungen sind Zahnwale in menschlicher Obhut auch nicht. Gelegentliche Rangordnungskämpfe sind bei Zahnwalen, wie bei allen Tieren, die in sozialen Gruppen leben, nämlich völlig normal. Wenn Zahnwale in menschlicher Obhut minimale Blessuren, sogenannte rake marks von den natürlichen Rangordnungskämpfen tragen, können diese, im Gegensatz zur Wildbahn, dort von den Veterinären behandelt werden, was als weiterer Vorteil der Lebenswirklichkeit dieser Tiere in menschlicher Obhut eintaxiert werden kann.

Orcas dont need to be saved - they have never been an endangered species! How can you be glad they take babies away from crying mothers who will never see their children again? @@winonaloversYou don’t know what the backstory of those orcas are.. one is deaf and was left by her own mother and found in de Waddenzee in the Netherlands.. they helped rescue certain orcas which can not hunt in the wild because either they were rescued here and are the 3rd generations that are taken care by humans or they simply cannot hunt in the wild because of their deficiencies for example hearing or something else..

Vertrau mir. ich beschäftige michg schon seit Jahren mit dieser Thematik und kann sagen: Von seaworld würde ich momentan eher abraten. Loro Parque ist komplett in ordnung. Es geht den Tieren gut sie sind glücklich und werden nicht für stupide Tricks sondern für Edukation in Form von natürlichen bewegungen

Der Aussage kann man nur beipflichten. Das ist in Santa Fu genauso: Es geht ihnen gut, sie sind glücklich, vor der gefährlichen Außenwelt geschützt, machen keine stupiden Tricks, sind nicht auf selbständige, anstrengende Nahrungssuche angewiesen und erfahren Edukation. Wer ein Faible für Orcashows hat, sollte unbedingt Santa Fu aufsuchen und dort gerne auch längere Zeit verweilen! You get the orca way of fun in Santa Fu!

Kshamenk and Naja should be moved here as that would give them a chance to be with their own species. Sad that Kiska and Lolita passed away. As Marineland Antibes plans to have their two orcas Keijo and Wikie to another park in Japan. As both Naja is alone at Moskvarium and Kshamenk at Mundo Marino there be room for them both at Loro Parque to be with the other orcas. Either at this park or one of the parks in Japan As the newest park Kobe Suma Sea World where they would join Stella with the other orcas Keijo and Wikie that may move there or to Port Of Nagoya Public Aquarium with Earth and Lyn., either park be good for them.

Furchtbar wie die Tiere leiden müssen und man keinen Respekt zeigt. Alles für den Kommerz und unglaublich, es erinnert an die Kuriositätenshows zu Beginn des 20.Jh. Zum Glück sind diese überwunen, also schützt auch endlich die großen Säugetiere vor dieser Ausbeutung. Nicht mehr hingehen!

Das Training basiert auf natürlichen Verhaltensweisen, ist spielerisch angelegt und lässt im Alltag der Tiere keine Monotonie aufkommen. Das die Rückenflosse bei einzelnen Exemplaren nicht senkrecht steht kommt auch im offenen Meer vor und ist kein Zeichen von Unwohlsein. Lassen Sie sich nicht von falschen Umdeutungen, die auf weltanschaulich fragwürdigen Annahmen beruhen verunsichern, und genießen Sie die Show. Moderne Zoos sind ein guter Ort für Tiere!
Nein du liegst in ALLEN PUNKTEN FALSCH diesen Tieren geht es schlecht, die sterben in Gefangenschaft, sind einsam, hungern, und agressiv, versuche nicht die Perspektive umzudrehen🤬
Woher wollen Sie das wissen? Die Tiere sind ganz und garnicht einsam - sie werden im Loro Park in einer Gruppe gehalten. Nahrungsknappheit und Hunger gibt es für Orcas höchstens in der Wildbahn, nicht aber im Loro Park, da sie dort zuverlässig mit Hering & Makrelen versorgt werden - oftmals in besserer Qualität, als denjenigen den sie in der Wildbahn erbeuten würden. Und aggresiver als unter Wildbahnbedingungen sind Zahnwale in menschlicher Obhut auch nicht. Gelegentliche Rangordnungskämpfe sind bei Zahnwalen, wie bei allen Tieren, die in sozialen Gruppen leben, nämlich völlig normal. Wenn Zahnwale in menschlicher Obhut minimale Blessuren, sogenannte rake marks von den natürlichen Rangordnungskämpfen tragen, können diese, im Gegensatz zur Wildbahn, dort von den Veterinären behandelt werden, was als weiterer Vorteil der Lebenswirklichkeit dieser Tiere in menschlicher Obhut eintaxiert werden kann.

@@aslamplaysyt5833 to free them doesn't mean not to care anymore. The options are a huge water enclosure in a fjord for those that can't be returned to the wild and of course reintroduction programs like the ones for Keiko or Zina. Watch the movie Blackfish.

Orcas dont need to be saved - they have never been an endangered species! How can you be glad they take babies away from crying mothers who will never see their children again? Is this prison life better than a life with their family in the free ocean where they were stolen from??? I hope youre not serious...
@@winonaloversYou don’t know what the backstory of those orcas are.. one is deaf and was left by her own mother and found in de Waddenzee in the Netherlands.. they helped rescue certain orcas which can not hunt in the wild because either they were rescued here and are the 3rd generations that are taken care by humans or they simply cannot hunt in the wild because of their deficiencies for example hearing or something else..
